Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Darkness was blanketing the grounds in an impenetrable abyss. This prompted Elijah to return inside with Twist at his heels. Dinner had been a relatively quiet affair out by the lake. He’d gone to the kitchens to get some essentials and sat out in the open air with some cheese and biscuits. It was so much better than whatever the House Elves had decided to serve that evening. Dinner on his terms had enabled Elijah to spend some time with his guitar just plucking random notes and singing to it. He was facing a brick wall when it came to song inspiration. He hadn’t written anything in a few months and looking back at what he’d written when he was writing, it wasn’t awe inspiring.

Resigning to the fact that he was going to get nowhere, Elijah returned to the castle. The kitten had been content to bat fireflies and steal pieces of ham off of his plate while he’d been at the lake. Now he was trotting along happily beside Elijah, occasionally overtaking and more than often falling behind.

Elijah quickly found himself in the entrance hall and he scooped Twist up into his arms hoping to not walk into anyone from the crowd that had just left the hall after dinner.

Ivy had just finished her dinner, well mostly picking at it. She wasn't big on eatting a lot when she was supposed to. So she grabbed a few rolls and some friut and stuffed it in her side bag. She sat there drinking water waiting till people started leaving.

Soon, after what had felt like forever to her, people started to leave. So she got up and flung her bag on her shoulder and walked out with them. When she got out to the Entrance Hall, she backed up to the side wall and waited till the crowd died down a bit.

She decided to people watch, so she looked around a bit and noticed a boy scooping something up. "What is in his hand?" she thought aloud. She quickly covered her mouth hopeing no one heard her. The crowd had calmed down and she really wanted to know what he had. She gathered up all her might and walked up to him. She tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Not to be freaky or anything, but I saw you pick something up. Can I see it...please?" She looked at him with a smile.

Twist didn’t take well to being handled but he was the most agreeable out of all of the kittens. He was a pain to begin with but if you were to enclose him within your coat then he’d be content until you got to your end destination. So Elijah wrapped him up in his robes, pulling back part of it so Twist’s head poked out. The kitten always enjoyed being able to look around and watch people as Elijah walked with him. The Slytherin had a sneaky suspicion that Twist liked the motion of him walking. It was probably the only reason Twist allowed Elijah to pick him up because the hands around his abdomen suggested that he was going to be carried somewhere.

Elijah broke through the crowd but was stopped on his way towards the grand staircase by a dainty redhead wearing Hufflepuff colours. Everyone must have been a Weasley. All he saw these days were redheaded women and Elijah couldn’t deny the attraction he felt to the fiery manes that draped over their shoulders and down their backs. Red hair was something that was begging to have fingers run through it and this girl’s was particularly red. Beautiful, even.

Abruptly, Elijah was brought back to the situation at hand. It wasn’t her speaking however for that came after but Twist mewed, distressed and wondering why he’d stopped walking. Elijah bit the inside of his cheek and looked at the girl. She was...odd. It was a strange request but Elijah took Twist from his robes. His hands were large and the cat was tiny so his palms made a good place for Twist to stand an the fatigued tabby laid himself down on Elijah’s hands. He rolled onto his back with his legs extended in the air. It was an invitation to smooth him.

“He’s such a ladies’ man,” Elijah chuckled. They had the same taste in women too. He didn’t do that for just anyone. “He, uh, likes redheads in particular...all species. We share that trait. Although I do tend to prefer me a bit of human. He’s not as fussed.”

The boy took a kitten out of his robes and Ivy's eyes went wide with excitment. She loved cats especialy kittens! He had the kitten in his open hands and he rolled over on is back with his legs up. She bent down so her head was at the same level of his hands and she started to scrath the kittens head with her index finger. Ivy kissed the top of his tiny head and said in a hyper voice, "It's a little kitten cat!"

She looked up at the boy when he started talking. He said that the kitten was a ladies' man and liked redheads. Ivy giggled a bit and looked back down at the kitten. "So you like ladies and redheads huh?" she said to the kitten, "Well, it's a good thing that I'm both isn't it!" she scratched his tummy this time.

She didn't hear what he said at the end, but it had to do with some sort of trait. So she just smilled at him. "What's his name?" she asked looking up at him, and still petting the kitten.

Twist loved attention from people. Female attention was much preferred though. It was kind of ironic really. Owner and pet were quite alike in the grand scheme of things but Elijah prided himself on not running around like a headless chicken when he was bored. The kitten began to purr when the girl scratched his head. He arched slightly, pushing his head into her hand and Elijah rolled his eyes. Why did he only like affection when it suited him? Elijah would never understand the kitten. It seemed content with the attention he was getting now though.

Elijah smiled and watched the girl interact with Twist who mewed every time she spoke to him. The kitten wouldn’t even have to try. He’d have her eating off of the pad on his paw if she wasn’t careful. The animal was manipulative like that but the stupid thing also ran into cupboard doors so he wasn’t that smart. Elijah swallowed and managed to smile at the girl although it was probably more of a grimace. The cat was insane.

“Twist,” Elijah answered with a real smile this time, “Would you like to hold him?”

The boy tried to smile at Ivy but it didn't work out to0 well. "Twist," he had said with a better smile this time. "Awwww!" she responded to it, "What a cute name!" she looked back down at Twist and petted his head more.

He had asked if she wanted to hold him, and her head shot right back up to look at him with big blue eyes, "Really?!" she exlaimed. This had made her entire day, holding a kitten. She took Twist from the boy held him as if he was a newborn. She looked down at him and said, "You are just the cutest little kitten in the world!" She rubbed noses with Twist and meowed to him. This is how she talked to her cat.

She started to laugh and said, "Cinnamon would be so jealous right now." she said to Twist. "Wherever did you find this kitten?" she asked looking back up at the boy, her face beaming with joy.
