Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

This is a short guide to being an auror!

What are Aurors?

An Auror is a member of an elite unit of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic trained to capture Dark wizards and witches. Aurors are not necessarily the best of wizards, but they have a set of spells that others cannot use - look at the spell compendium. Aurors are loyal to the ministry and mainly fight against Dark Wizards, however they have also been called to attack half breeds and the order through their history.

At current time, Aurors have been depleted after the Battle of Hogwarts. However, they are coming back to their full strength. They are currently led by Gabrielle Delacour and the co-head Vincent Majere. Their main aim is to round up the remaining Death Eaters. However, they are also having conflicts with the Order of Pheonix.

Auror missions

Every so often, Gabrielle or Vincent will PM you with some auror missions. Auror missions are generally dueling ones, usually with Death Eaters, but not all the time. For example, currently the auror mission is the Horcrux hunt at Little Hangleton.

Auror in roleplaying

Aurors are not as highly respected as before, but people know that aurors are the more talented wizards and witches and are therefore intimidated by them.
