Charms Newt

Gibbs entered his classroom with a briefcase in his hand and a mug of coffee in the other. He placed his coffee on his desk and the briefcase in the area of the desk where peoples legs go. He walked up to the board, waved his hand and made what they were doing today appear on the board. He picked up his coffee and sat on his desk, waiting for his class to come in.

On the Board:
What are the incantations? What do these spells do? Do you know why I chose them (For Bonus Marks)? How can these spells be useful in a tight situation? And other information about these charms.

Quill, Ink, Parchment, and Wand are needed for today!

Julia skipped into the classroom and noticed that she was the first student there. "Morning Professor Gibbs" She said with a smile. Julia was feeling strangely bright and happy today, which was unusual because she usually kept to herself and was very shy. She took a seat in the front row and read the board, letting the questions process through her mind. Julia took out some parchment and began to copy down the questions on the board.

Mariana walked into the classroom slowly and looked at the Professor.Seems like she was the first one to come. "Morning Professor.." she said choosing to sit in the most distant corner of the classroom taking out her piece of parchment aswell as ink and quil.And continued sitting without a word like she did on all classes.

Amelia wasn't particularly excited to be making her way to classes today, which was unusual for her. Typically, she had a strong thirst for knowledge and actually awaited the start of classes with a high level of anticipation - not that she would share this with her fellow students, who would likely think her even more crazy than they already did.

Today, her enthusiasm was down because she was tired. She had spent most of the night awake on duty for the Imperium Squad. The headmaster was convinced that the Squad should be able to keep up the same routines of hall monitoring that the prefects had, even though the Imperium Squad consisted of far less students. This left Amelia with a lot of sleepless nights, because by the time she got off duty, it was hardly worth the effort of getting ready for bed because she would have to be up so soon afterward.

Groggily, Amelia walked into the Charms classroom, noticing the change in staff. There had been so many alterations in the teaching positions over her years at Hogwarts that Amelia barely batted an eye anymore when someone new was at the had of the class. Instead, she took a seat in the second row and sighed as she pulled out her text, parchment, and ink. Her wand was in the pocket of her robes, and it could remain there until the practical part of the lesson, which Amelia knew would not come until later on. For now, she began transcribing what had been written on the board, keeping her head down.

"Good Morning Julia!" Gibbs said politely taking a drink of his coffee. "Good morning to you too Mariana!" he said smiling. "Very simple lesson today, I'll explain the charms, you'll answer the questions, then I'll perform the spells and then we'll see how you manage!" he said enthusiastically. He moved the his chair and took a seat, his wand was on his desk and he grabbed it. "Now I think we shall wait a few more minutes before he begin the class." he added. He saw Amelia walk in and he gave her a smile, "Morning Amelia!" he said. He looked at the class roster, only a few more students left to come.

Elizabeth put a hand over her mouth as a yawn escaped. She hadn't gotten much sleep the night before and it was starting to take its toll on her. Her legs were moving all too slowly but she found that she didn't have the energy nor desire to make them move any more quickly. Her large bag, which was slung over her left shoulder, was immensely heavy. Corners of textbooks were brimming out of the top, showing that she had reached full capacity.

Upon entering her classroom, she noticed that there was a different professor standing at the front of the room. They switched professors in and out like they were going out of style. Elizabeth flashed him a rather toothy smile before finding herself a seat. Noticing Julia, whom she had only recently gotten to know a little better at the dance, she sat down beside her in the front row.

"Hey Julia," she whispered as she bent over to extract her things from her bag. After getting everything situated, Elizabeth glanced up at the board. Getting down to business, she dipped her quill in navy blue ink and began copying down the questions.

Landon still hadn't made up his mind on how he felt about Charms. Undoubtedly they learned some pretty handy things in that class but in comparison to serious subjects, such as Alchemy or Transfiguration, it seemed a little frivolous to him. However, it was a class which he felt as though he didn't have to pay all that much attention and still yield a good grade at the end of the year. That was always a good thing in his books. As he entered the classroom, his gaze fell upon the unfamiliar professor at the front of the room.

He showed no sign of surprise, as this sort of thing was happening all around the school. He wondered why Hogwarts had such a difficult time finding a stable teaching staff. It was all getting rather confusing; he would get used to one professor's style of teaching and then another new style would be forced upon him. Landon was just thankful he wouldn't be taking NEWTs that year or he might be a little more peeved by the whole ordeal.

He took a seat towards the middle of the classroom, his preferred location. Those who sat in the front were for the most part brown nosers; or at least someone who was keen on appearing as though they were intelligent. The back was for the people who didn't care too much about the class and the professors generally took note of those students. In the middle he fell somewhere peacefully between the two groups. He began pulling his things out of his bag, one at a time in a rather methodical order. After getting everything on his desk, his eyes fell on the board.

After yet another sleepless night Dora found herself outside the Charms classroom, dressed in her uniform, clutching a book to her chest. Clearly but she had been reading but her mind was slightly foggy from walking through the woods the night prior so she couldn’t quite recall spending an extended amount of time in the library. Running a stray hand through her hair she opened the door, albeit a little hesitantly, and stepped inside. Dora closed the door behind her and looked around, wondering if she recognised anyone. She found no one of course.

She spotted a new teacher at the front of the class. She preferred it when Khaat had been teaching but she had nothing to base an opinion of the man on. She’d just have to wait and see although seeing as there would definitely be no conversation, Dora would just have to observe. She picked a seat at the back of the class and sat down. She lowered her bag onto the floor and put her books on the table in front of her. She took one off of the pile and opened it up, deciding to do some light reading before getting her supplies out. She was tired for once and obviously unprepared for class work.

Arthur entered the class and took a seat in the front row. ''Good morning, professor... ? Another change?'', he asked taking his books out.

"Good morning Amadora!" he said brightly checking her off on his class roster. "Do I have to put a freezing charm on this room to wake all of you up?" As Poe Walked in he grinned, finally someone who didn't look half asleep. "Morning Arthur!" he said smiling warmly. He checked his list of the roster and grinned, "Yes another change, they say Hogwarts jinxed now. Almost a new teacher every week" he said. "Though I'm here to stay, my record is clean!" he said putting down his clipboard. "Alright I think we can begin!" He said getting off his desk. "Any stragglers who come in late will have to focus on what we're on at that present time." he said. "Okay, who can tell me what the HOMORPHUS CHARM is?" he asked them all pacing in the front of the class.
