Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Love's Promise Empty Love's Promise

Post by Belle Fey Potter Wed Feb 24, 2010 9:04 am

(This is just a short story that hit me and I know that the battle is not yet over and that we truly do not know the loses or gains at the moment so don’t take it truly to heart. But like I said it hit me and I had to write it so please enjoy. Belle)

Belle had been in the study of her mansion going over some things for class when she had received Jess’s call. She had of course answered immediately and arrived in the middle of chaos. Spells were being shot in ever direction and battles between Order and Death Eaters as well as Aurors and fires, and debris as well as other dangers were everywhere.

Instantly her eyes sought Andrian out and she found him and rushed to his side. Blasting away a spell aimed right at her and dodging a few more before she reached him. “What the hell is going on here?” She asked.

Andrian heard a familiar voice running from behind him, and he began to look around and scan the room for the source of the voice. Only to find that Belle had come to join the battle.

"Belle!" He gasped. "I thought I told you to stay home?" He asked, annoyed that she had come to join the battle. The last thing he wanted was for her to die, he loved her too much and he didn't want to be the reason why she died.

A green jet of light shot past his ears, missing him by just an inch and taking his attention from her for just a few moments. "Stupefy!" He pointed at Sandra, dodging all the spells that flew towards him.

Belle snorted in an un-lady like manner at his reaction. "You can tell me to stay home all you like!" She shouted at him as she dodged another jet of light. "But I am never going to listen I have just as much to fight for as you and whether you want to admit it or not every Order member is needed."

She was hit by a piece of debris that flew by grazing her upper left arm, she growled, "Incarcerous!" At the DE that had caused the rubble to fly their way satisfied when they were wrapped in ropes and fell to the ground.

"Perhaps we can continue this later though love? I would rather fight them at the moment not you." She gave him a smile over her shoulder before turning back to the other way right as the floor began to shake beneath her.

She looked down and saw the crack coming her way and started to lose her balance as the earth opened up beneath her forcing her away from Andrian. “Andrian!” She shouted as cracks ran towards the walls and up into the ceiling causing more rubble and glass from the over head lights to fall down upon them.

The noise in the room grew louder with the roar of the earth being torn apart and she was forced to try and leap out of the path of a large chunk coming straight down upon her. However her action was not completely successful and it managed to hit her in the side upon her hip and lower ribs sending her to the ground.

The glass that was there cut deeply into the flesh of her arms and every other part of her body that came in contact with ground, shredding her clothes and covering her in the rich crimson liquid that coursed through her veins.

She reached a hand to her side as the pain grew to an intense fire, she was certain she had broken a couple of ribs and her hip was sorely bruised. Belle moved her leg to try and move and called out as the fire raced down her leg. She opened her eyes and searched through the dust, firing spells and debris falling all around them for Andrian.

Her eyes met his and she sighed with relief to see that he had faired better then her, but her relief quickly turned to horror as she saw the massive piece of ceiling falling towards him. Ignoring the pain the instant jerking motion sent through her she flung her wand out, “Reducto!” She shouted and watched as the bolt from the tip of her wand sent it flying and crashing into the far wall.

Andrian had been trying to get a clear view of Belle and his heart stopped when the rock fell and hit her as she leapt out of the way sending her to the ground and began pounding with fear when he heard her call out. When he was able to finally see her he stopped in his tracks.

She lay on the ground covered in blood and cut all over, her clothes in tattered rags on her and she was holding her side, the black and blue of bruising all ready clearly seen through the massive rip where part of her shirt was actually torn away.

“Belle!” He called as he started moving forward again.

She looked up at him and he watched as horror filled her emerald eyes and she yanked her arm up and pointed it above him. He heard her voice call out and covered his head with his arms as he ducked down just as her spell sent the piece flying across the room to smash into the wall.

“Hold on, I’m coming!” He shouted as he saw an area of the crack that was more narrow and he could easily leap over.

But as he neared the space and Belle’s body was sending her through more pain as she cast a small shield around herself another piece was heading down on him and this time neither could react in time. It hit him and sent him to crashing to the ground and darkness.

Belle saw it and cried out, “Look out!” But it was too late, she watched in helplessness as the rock smashed into Andrian and sent him to the floor as well. “No..”She whispered and then quickly looked around her for something to help her up with.

She grabbed a rock near her and used it to help get to her feet, ignoring the pain as her mind tried to deny what she was seeing. She got up and with her hand on her side she limped quickly to the edge and going against her body’s protests leapt the small section to the other side.

Then she quickly made her way to his side and using magic move the rock from him. He eyes were closed and he was covered in dust and his head was bleeding as was part of his shoulder from where he had been hit. She took his head into her lap and began stroking his cheek and hair.

“Come on.” She said, “Get up Andrian, I need you.” Belle tried to hold back the tears that were forming in her eyes, but she failed.

They fell down her cheeks leaving clean paths through the dust to land on his chest as she leaned forward. “Damn it Andrian, get up!” She cried as she held him closer. “You promised we would be together forever…”

He still did not move and she could hold the sobs back no longer. She clung to him with her head on his chest as she cried. He wasn’t supposed to leave her, not now…not before their wedding and not ever.

The battle continued around them but her shield was protecting them for the moment, but she could care less. What did it matter if she could never see his smile or hear his laughter again? Her heart was aching now worse then any physical pain to her body ever could as the world faded from around them. “Please…”She whispered against his chest, “Please come back to me.”

It was then that Andrian gasped in air and his chest rose beneath her as he came to. She jerked up and looked down at him as he did as she had asked and returned to her. Such relief flooded her as his eyes met and held hers and she smiled softly as sobs of joy broke through her.

“Belle love.” He said as he lifted an arm and pushed her ebony hair back from her face and cupped her cheek.

Belle grabbed hit with her own and held it there crying and smiling at the same time. “You’re alive.”

“I promised.” Was all he said before she leaned down and kissed him softly and he rose to a sitting potion and wrapped his arms around her.

She pulled away, still unable to believe it. “Don’t you ever scare me like that again.”

He began to chuckle but stopped and winced as his shoulder and his head began to remind him he had just had the ceiling fall down on him. “Perhaps we had better save this for another time.”

She nodded and rose to her feet taking one of his arms and wrapping it around her shoulders and helping him to his feet. The smoke and spells were dying down and they began to take in the damage as the fight began to come to an end.

Belle and Andrian had been lucky, at least this time. But it could not be said for the Ministry building or for those laying all around them either injured, dying or all ready gone. Neither looked forward to the pain that would come from this, but at least for the moment though broken and battered…they had each other and their love.
