Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Dancing under the stars Empty Dancing under the stars

Night was as black as the old abandoned corridors in Hogwarts. It was something completely impenetrable and scary for most people. There were so many other things to fear instead of the dark. Many associated it with the Full Moon and by association werewolves and other 'dark' creatures. It didn't make much sense, though. Why would anyone in their right mind associate the darkness with 'dark' creatures? She the names were alike but they were nothing alike. Darkness was a fear that little children had where as being a werewolf or a vampire was an affliction that no one seemed able to cure.

But this was something that seemed to be forever dwelling on the young Ravenclaw's thoughts. That, and the fact that Merlin was betting against her in life and there seemed to be nothing she could do about it. It seemed as if he was just trying to spite her by making anyone she loved dearly die. It was a cruel thing to do and it seemed that there was no way of breaking this cruel curse. She’d learned to live with it now, though. After trusting an old woman who had taken her in after her father died she learned threat the world wasn’t a nice place – so she closed herself off to the world.

Shaking her head, Dora opened the door that lead to the Astronomy tower. She walked up the final flight of stairs and drifted over to the open part of the tower. She put her hands on the railing and leaned over, looking at the large expanse of land that surrounded Hogwarts. She inhaled the beautiful scents that hung in the air and closed her eyes. A perfect way to spend her night. Not down in the kitchens making small talk with the house elves and trying to stomach a meal, but out in the air and feeling at peace with the world

Yes, he should be staying back to the comfortable protection that the Ravenclaw common room. Sleeping in a comfortable slumber. But lately he was unable to sleep because of the late nightmares he had every night. Nat pulled on a brown jumper on and started to make his way up to the Astronomy tower. He heard it was peaceful and calm up there, always best if you were feeling down or to kill time. It was even better they said if he managed to sneak up there at night. You could see all the stars twinkling at you and the moon sitting in the horizon smiling down at you.

Sighing, Nathan finally reached the Astronomy Tower almost breathless from all the walking and sneaking he had to do to get to the Tower. To his dismay he saw a girl standing on the edge of the tower looking out to the night. "Hello?" he said unsure if she wanted to be alone or not. He untied his pony tail and let his hair fall down coverng the tatoo on his neck he got from the tribes.

Dora heard someone speak and she whirled around, expecting nothing that she found. Obviously the boy had the same thoughts as she and smiled a little. Sure, she would have preferred the solitude but she didn't mind being around someone who sought the comforts of the Astronomy tower like she did. Perhaps it was Ravenclaw thing. Dora had seen the boy in the common room but she never stayed long enough to learn his name.

"Oh, hello." Dora said weakly. She didn't know where she would go from the Astronomy tower but she pushed herself away from the railing with every intention of hurrying past the boy. "I'll, uh, just go.."
