Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Post by Andrew Thompson Fri Jan 15, 2010 4:36 am

GRYFFINDOR 0 - 0 HUFFLEPUFF

Note from Darren: You can start posting here for now, the crowd can as well. But don't start the match until both the commentator (Keith) and the coach have posted. Once the coach says you can start, start Smile

Also a note about subs. If the main player doesn't post within 3 days, you can take their place. If someones not going to be here, PM the sub saying they can take their place.

Lastly, make sure you've read the rules.

Thanks

Danny's heart raced. His adrenanline pumped. He was ready. He toke a deep breath as he kicked off the ground and started to fly around. He would win this one. For the team. He flew around slowly wating for the coach to procede with the countdown and for his teammates to show up. He wished they'd hurry up or otherwise they'd seem to forfeit! He prayed things would go right today.

GRYFFINDOR VS HUFFLEPUFF Empty Re: GRYFFINDOR VS HUFFLEPUFF

Post by Arthur Severus Poe Fri Jan 15, 2010 8:52 pm

Arthur climbed up to the stands and took a seat in the front row. He was wearing a neutral black coat and a long black robe above it. You could not tell for whom he was cheering. Although his team was playing Hufflepuff, he was internally cheering for Mariana, but the only thing he hoped to see is a good game.

Mariana made a slow though confident step through the door of huffelpuff dressing rooms carrying her firebolt in her right hand. She passed it to her left hand knowing she would have to shake hands with Gryffindor captain..She walked slowly giving her team time to finish preparing and looked right into Danny's eyes as she detained. It was weird having a friend in the opponent team and having to shake her hands with him like they didn't already know eachother.

Louis walked onto the pitch after returning to the dressing room for a quick breather. He climbed onto his broom and grinned. He nodded at Danny, and flew up to the Gryffindor goalposts. He looked across the field ready for whatever Hufflepuff had to throw at him.

Abbey mounted her broom and flew high into the air. She looked over the pitch, wondering where Willow was...she hadn't shown up to the locker room earlier, and they needed their keeper! Abbey bit her fingernails nervously and I hoped that Gryffindor wasn't on their guard today...

"Hey Abbs!" Willow greeted Abbey, her friend jumping as Willow flew out from behind her. "So sorry I wasn't in the locker room. I was running late so...yeah...? IDK. So when are we going to start?" Willow asked Abbey, eyeing the pitch and the small crowds of people forming in the stands. She flew in little fast circles around and around Abbey until she answered.

Sophia mounted her boorm and flew out of the Gryffindor dressing room at top speed. As she flew around the field she flew toward her position and waited for the ret of the team to join them. Sophia looked at Danny and smiled and winked then looked at Louis and smiled warmly at him. Sophia was ready to win this game for Gryffindor and hopefully start getting Gryffindor in first place.

Danny smiled brightly as she smiled at him. He wasn't going to let anyone down today. He swooped down at full speed towards Mariana. Slowing down on hios descent, Danny landed on his feet in front of Mariana and extended his hand "Don't worry," he smiled brightly "we're still friends"

Bane walked out of the dressing room, and heard the crowd yell. He smilied and mounted the broom, which he held with his right hand, his beaters bat in his left. He pushed off with a strong kick, and flew until he reached an appropriate height. He nodded at his teamates, and looked at Willow. He trie to tell himself that it was quiditch time, and that girlfriend time would come after the game, they would see how that went.

GRYFFINDOR VS HUFFLEPUFF Empty Re: GRYFFINDOR VS HUFFLEPUFF

Post by Vincent Majere Sat Jan 16, 2010 5:44 am

Quidditch. The only major Wizarding sport that was played worldwide. It was said that almost every wizard had played Quidditch, and nearly everyone was interested in it. It was one thing that everyone in the Wizarding World shared. And it was just as popular at Hogwarts, the Interhouse Championship was important at Hogwarts, and almost every student was probable inside the packed stadium right now.

And despite all its popularity, Vincent had never felt any interest in the sport. Even the art of flying on broomsticks did not interest him, although it was considered an important Wizarding skill. He could fly without the use of broomsticks, and people could always apparate instead. Vincent didn't understand how people liked watching idiots flying on broomsticks and hitting bludgers at each other. Yet, he was coaching the match, mainly cause their coach did not have enough experience to be coaching a match of this importance yet. Vincent had spent some time reading over every single rule, and there were a lot. And only when he had memorized them all had he left his office to go to the match.

He was dressed warmly, as it was yet another cold day at Scotland. They were experiencing an unusually bitter and cold Winter, though today was better. No blizzards or snowfall, but it was cold, with some breeze. You had to feel sorry for the players. For their sake and his, Vincent hoped for a quick finish. They would be freezing to death after an hour or so. Well, at least it wasn't raining, like at last match. It seemed that weather always liked playing spoilsport at Quidditch matches.

Personally, Vincent was quite neutral in this match. He despised Gryffindor, but disliked Hufflepuff as well. He had a natural liking for the Slytherins, but Ravenclaw had been his house here, so he favored that house above all others. It was perhaps, lucky then he was coaching only this match, he would have had a hard time being fair in the other ones.

Coughing, he entered the noisy and crowded stadium, some of the players had decided to line up at the pitch already, Vincent just spared them one glance before walking over to the middle of the pitch and summoning the suitcase with the quaffle, the bludgers and the snitch inside it.

He looked around at the crowd, the Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors were of course supporting their own teams. The Ravenclaws seemed quite neutral, but the Slytherins were cheering for the Hufflepuffs. Slytherins were always with the team that was against Gryffindor, so this was nothing new. Vincent impatiently waited for the rest of the players of the teams to show up.
