Ginevra's house. Empty Ginevra's house.

Post by Ginevra Malenki Wed Sep 23, 2009 1:55 am

The house seemed empty. Yes, that was exactly the right word to use- empty. Very little did she ever appear at her house, since it brought memories to her that werne't always so great but yet again, she couldn't sell it. This house was the only thing she had left of her family, every single one of them. Who would let that go? Walking up the stone path, her jeans covered her legs nicely, her shirt tight to her skin and her hair down so that no air would reach her skin when the wind blew; she wasn't a fan of the wind, at the moment. She wasn't a fan of much, actually. Sighing, she opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her and just staring ahead, not moving towards the kitchen for another five minutes. Silence was eerie if you let it be.

Ginevra's house. Empty Re: Ginevra's house.

Darren appeared outside the house quite suddenly, having just apparated there. Turning to see if anyone had seen him, he saw no one - it was quite late at night, and the streets were very quiet and empty. He frowned as his gaze fell upon the house, remembering other times. Why had he come here? Surely he had known that it would be painful - and he had vowed he wouldn't see her again. Still, he doubted she would be there - she wasn't one to stay at home for to long - she didn't have family anymore after all. Perhaps he should just leave, he thought, but decided against it - he might as well check if she was at her house. Sighing, Darren walked up the path towards the house and knocked on the door.

The fact that it was late was more or less the reason as to why she was paranoid when a knock came upon the door. She hadn't been expecting anyone, and if there was someone it was most likely no one looking for something good. Wand out, she kept it in her wand before walking to the door, having not allowed her house elf to do it for her, as it could be a risk. That would have been just cruel. Opening it once she looked through the peep hole, her heart dropped. Darren Riddle was standing on the other side of the door, handsome and as alive as ever. Taking in a deep breath, she swung the door open and literally threw herself foward, taking him in a very tight hug. She knew he hated them, or so he said, therefore she made sure she gave him twice as many. "Wait! Why the heck am I hugging you! You left me alone." Frowning, she stepped backwards and looked at him. Hands on her hips, it was true. She hadn't even recieved one letter.

Frowning to himself as he stood there, Darren thought once more of just going away. After all, Ginevra might have just forgotten about him, and coming back would just make things complicated again. He himself both wanted to see her but also didn't. He missed her as a friend, but things had gotten just too tense between them before he had graduated and left. He was just about to turn and leave when he heard footsteps on the other side. He turned back just in time to see Gin before she hugged him. Darren sighed, he had expected her reaction but it was still rather annoying. Rolling his eyes, he was about to push her away when she released him. "Well..." Darren replied slowly. He was already a little irritated at her for being angry at him - she had never understood why he had left her, so what was the point explaining? "Sorry about leaving you and all, though I did tell you I would and told you the reason as well," he said, shrugging. She had probably been keeping her hopes high for a letter or something. Darren was beginning to wish he hadn't come here - it was a really strange thing, but he really wasn't nearly as glad to see her as he thought he would be.

Ginevra had always understood why he had left. He had told her millions of times that it was for the better- that it wasn't safe. Her responce had always, and would always, be the same too; she didn't care, as long as she was with him. Ever since her fourth year she had been able to admit the fact that she loved Darren- this wasn't neccesarily a good thing, though. Since then, things hadn't been too right either. He didn't seem to love her back, so she was just left with what she could no longer hide, him knowing, and hating it. It hurt to know and see, but she never would let him know that. Ginevra hid it as well as she could every single time he was around. What other choice was there? ".. and you're still here?" she pointed out the obvious just because shutting her mouth and shaking her head. He was right- he had said she would never see him again, which had broken her to the point of crying, which was rare. Sadly, it had been in front of him too. "But! Just because I pointed that out doesn't mean you're leaving. Get your butt inside before I kick it in." she added, guestering towards her the house.

[her the house.? =/]

Darren didn't really want to go inside her house, he would have to stay for a long time - and he already felt rather uncomfortable with her. Still, it was chilly outside and it wasn't like he had anywhere else to be, so he followed her into the house. He quickly looked around the house, it looked a lot like how it had looked when he had last come. But it had changed, it felt different, abandoned. Obviously no one lived here, and knowing Gin - she probably didn't come here much. "Well I don't know why I'm here to be honest," Darren replied to her question, though it wasn't really a question as much as a statement. "I really shouldn't be here at all. But I wanted to check on how you were doing."

[xD her is crossed out because it's hers, but as said in the first post- she doesn't really feel like it's hers because of everything that's happened. so it's 'the' house because of that.]

When Ginevra was in the house, she never felt 'at home.' The feeling hadn't come to her since her mom died and it wasn't ever coming back. Since it was the only item she had from them, it was her most prized possesion but that didn' tmean she had the will to sleep in it. No- that never happened. Ginevra preferred to sleep outside if she had too, over inside her childhood home and in warm beds. Feeling her gut act up when he told her why he was here, or at least the closest to a reason she was going to recieve, Ginevra sighed. "How do you think I am, Darren?" she asked him, perking her eyebrows upwards at him. "My best friend left, vowing never to see me again, my family is dead, school is dragging by with no Quiddich or Head Girl responsibilities and Amara is sick." frowning, the last part had only happened earlier today. Amara was her owl, the one she kept at Hogwarts safley in the dorm room. She now had Amara as a pet for seven years. "So guess just how good I am. If you guess thrilled and peppy, you've got me squared down." huffing, she was clearly angry with him still. This was Ginevra though, most of the time it just went away after about five minutes because she naturally couldn't be rude to the man in front of her.

Darren had, like Gin, lost all his family. And after that he had never really felt like he wanted to stay at his house. It brought back old and hard to bear memories. He hadn't really stayed in his house after his father passed away so Darren knew how she felt. Watching her as she ranted, Darren sighed in annoyance, he had expected accusations, he got them from everyone. He clearly didn't care that she was angry, his expression remained the same, if not a little amused. "You forgot the being the werewolf part," he pointed out, surprised she hadn't included that in her rant. "Listen I'm not here to listen to your complaining and accusations ok? Sure, your life might suck but don't blame it on me. I believe I had a good reason to leave, and thats why I left. And its not my fault that your not quidditch captain or Head Girl anymore, its yours. As for your owl being sick, shes quite old now, so its only natural. No point worrying about it." His voice held no compassion, after all Darren had never been quite a compassionate person.

Ginevra rolled her eyes. She had expected no less than exactly this. He just didn't get it though. "You asked me how I was. But still, even with all of what I just said, you don't get it." he never had, so what made her think he would now? Dying hope was what. She was too stubborn to let her faith in the dream of him someday coming around to his.. scenes give up. Sighing, she pushed her hair back, letting it hang down off of her head, hanging down behind her back long as ever. "So now that you've showed quite obviously that you do not care how I am, why are you really here? Or are you here just to prove that you dont' give a shit once more?" looking away, she couldn't really bare to look him in the eye as she said this. It hurt to know that she was convincing herself very slowly that it was the truth. The fact that he had mentioned her being a werewolf pointed out he was a tleast listening. Little things like that were what kept her from giving up completley. That and the fact that her heart wouldn't let her, no matter what her mind told her. For Ginevra, the mind was always overpowered by what she felt. She could be too darn emotional for her own good. "As for being a werewolf, what do you care? It's not like you were there, like you said you would be the first time." it was true. He had told her that he would be there for her first full moon. She had assured him she would take the potion to not become a werewolf yet still he had broken what he had said. She held that against him, just like she did to everyone else. The difference it wasn't in anger that she held it, but personal disappointment.

Ginevra's house. Empty Re: Ginevra's house.

Seeing her roll her eyes, and hearing what she said after, Darren just glared back at her with rising irritation. What did he not get? He didn't understand her at all, after coming all this way just to check on her, she was saying that he obviously didn't care for her. He couldn't believe it, he definately knew now that he shouldn't have come here at all. The thing was, Darren had been through so much in his lifetime he did not really feel any compassion for other people, not even his friends. So he didn't really care when people complained to him, because as far as he was concerned, they didn't have a reason too. After all, he didn't go around moaning about his life all day. Her accusations on him not being with her during full moon just made him more annoyed. It was quite true, he hadn't been there, but had reasons. "Do you really believe that I would just leave you alone for no reason? Expecially if you needed me?" he asked sternly. "I had my own reasons for not being there with you. I apologize for that, but you really should stop accusing me. And by the way, I doubt me being there would of made any difference at all," he added. It was true enough, werewolves didn't recognize friend from foe in their transformed state. It was odd, Darren had always considered Ginevra to not be an overly emotional person, and she wasn't. It was one of the things he had liked about her. But obviously she had changed since he had left.
