Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Boys' Dormitories Empty Re: Boys' Dormitories

Ben walked up the stairs and into his dormitory. He lay down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. He needed something to do. He couldn't just sit there, he had to be doing something all the time. He wondered where the other boys where.

Misha poked his head out curiously form his dorm room and frowned slightly. It was quiet. Much too quiet in fact. Where on Earth was everyone? He wandered along the corridor, glancing subtly in each room, trying not to be too obvious about the fact he was looking, but desiring some company.

He grinned widely as his glance into the second year room was rewarded with a familiar figure. "Hey Ben, you all alone too? It's a ghost town out here."

[[OOC: Ben doesn't have a plot, as of yet. I need to find a nice one on caution first xD.]]

Ben was lying in his bed, not doing much of anything when he thought he heard someone walk in. He turned his head to see Misha walk in. He was a...sixth year, he thought, though he wasn't sure. He sat up properly before speaking.

"Hey Misha. Yeah, I am alone. Everyone is busy studying." Ben told Misha, sounding slightly annoyed towards the end of his statement. He was sick of exams by now.

[OOC: Oh cool. I'll keep and lookout and reply when he does. XD]

"Hey Misha. Yeah, I am alone. Everyone is busy studying."

"Well it is exam time" Misha acknowledged ruefully. "I've only got a few left so I'm not overly worried. How're they going for you? Alright?"

Ben nodded, guessing Misha was someone who cared a lot about exams, unlike himself. "Yeah, I know, but some people around here seem to think nothing matters apart from the exams." he complained to Misha, some particular Ravenclaws coming to his mind. "Mine aren't too bad, I passed some things and failed others, I just hope I don't get held back a year." he said, even though the end of his statement contradicted the beginning. He didn't think he did that well to be honest. "Which ones do you have left?" he asked, keeping the conversation going.

"Yeah, I know, but some people around here seem to think nothing matters apart from the exams."

Misha laughed, instantly picturing some of his more obsessive Ravenclaw friends. "I totally agree. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're not unimportant but some people just get too stressed out about them, and then that ends up putting me on edge as well." He grinned, "I'm weird - well even weirder - when I'm stressed out."

"Mine aren't too bad, I passed some things and failed others, I just hope I don't get held back a year."

"I wouldn't worry about it. You're smarter than you give yourself credit for, and I can't remember someone ever getting held back, so I'm sure you're fine."

"Which ones do you have left?"

"Just Arithmancy and Divination, Thank God. Arithmancy should be okay, and if I'm not sure for Divination I just make things up. I guess it's better than saying nothing, right? it's always the tea cups that get me."

Ben nodded, he didn't think they were important now, but maybe they were for higher years. "I don't find them too important, but I'm only a second year so maybe they're not so important for me." he replied, trying to see both points of view. He didn't mind people being weird, it was better than being boring, he reckoned. He decided not to comment on the smart comment, as he knew he wasn't.

Ben didn't take either of the last two subjects, as he was too young. "I don't take those, what are they like?" he asked Misha, curiously. "Something is always better than nothing, it could be right!" he agreed with the guessing, there was no harm in it.
