Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

I half wish the new book was out so we could see if subjects changed once Albus got there. Perhaps Ilvermorney hosts classes in things like Apparition and the subjects we considered having in the past but didn't get around to? I mean, they would likely have much of the same things but maybe because they're pairing up the school would offer small courses like that one or animagus building of some sort as a.. I don't know, a bridge between the two? Kind of a starter to see if students want to take other things there?

They should have a physical education type class. Since America is so crazy about implementing healthy living in schools.

Yeah we have student councils but usually... they don't mean much. They plan dances and charity drives. They rarely have any power. Student council usually has a president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. Soooome schools might have events planners or charity coordinators. That's about it.

Lots of clubs though. Marching band has a drum major. Drama club. Agriculture clubs. Film clubs. Yearbook. Newsletter. Etc.

Then yeah, you have those 4 that are pretty standard and some variation of those other two.

I was student council president, and we had a Vice President, Parliamentarian, Treasurer, Secretary, and then Representatives from all four school years. But we also had a council for each grade. So seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen all had presidents and vice presidents, but those had less power than the student council, which ran things like graduation. The Pres and VPs for each grade were in charge of making money for events for that specific year of students. Other than that they were basically useless unless they were there for voting.

There are also leadership positions in clubs, and the clubs go to lots of competitions and things, but those may not really apply.
