Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Tick-Tock Empty Tick-Tock

Post by Sebastien O'Sullivan Sun Nov 02, 2014 5:53 pm

Weather was quite chilly this morning. Well, technically it wasn't morning yet but Sebastien liked to think it was. That way he could reassure himself he didn't have any troubles with sleeping anymore, but the truth was - he had, as much as before. He could only sleep when his body is so exhausted so he can't keep his eyes open, and unfortunately that wasn't last night so he could just spinning around in his bed, waiting for new day to come. When he became tired of spinning around he decided he could use a walk since he couldn't stay any longer in his room. He dressed, drank a cup of coffee he cooked yesterday, took his wand and went outside.

The brisk winter wind followed him playing with his coat and addle it between his legs. Although he usually loved cold weather today he found it, as well as the wind, very irritating. It wasn't about weather, it was about him. He couldn't say he wasn't happy when he reached the clock tower. He took the doorknob checking if it's locked, it wasn't so he pulled the door and came in. The air was much warmer in there. Actually it was so warm he pulled his coat down staying in black vesta and black jeans. Those were the first two things he pulled out of the closet, and he donned them not caring if he looked like some modern sotonist, well that was what his brothers always told him about his clothes.

He went up, climbing the winding staircase illuminated with candles. It would made him panting earlier, but he found out that he had better shape since he became a werewolf. All that running during the full moon obviously build his muscles, but he would still do anything to be human again. With that thought he sat on the bench in front of the window and while he was watching swinging pendulum of the watch as he waited for dawn to come.

Tick-Tock Empty Re: Tick-Tock

Post by Ariella Rhodes Tue Nov 04, 2014 11:52 pm

Ariella just couldn't fall asleep tonight. The girl started wondering if it was the food she ate or something because she can usually sleep until it's actually time for her wake up. She sighed and decided to get out of bed. The tossing and turning was not helping at all. She pulled her covers off and the cold hit her like a ton of bricks. She wrapped her arms around herself as she got out of bed and looked for her running clothes. When she did she changed out of her pajamas and into her running clothes.

After that she looked for her running shoes. Where are you when I need you? She wondered as she looked for her shoes everywhere. She looked under her bed and in her closet. Then she finally found that they were still in her luggage. Ariella hates packing and unpacking, it's such a tedious job. She would use magic but she doesn't want to depend on it so much that she has to use magic for everything. After that long struggle she put them on and grabbed her wand before she left her room. A walk would be a good way to clear her mind.

Ariella was just walking around the castle until she reached the clock tower. She was a little out of breath, but no big deal, she has been running for a while now, so her cardiovascular health shall improve. Ariella was actually surprised that the clock tower was quite warm, or was it just because she walked up about twenty flights of stairs to come up here. She was going to continue walking into the room but she saw a figure there sitting on the bench. He looked familiar. "Sebastien is that you?" She asked the figure sitting there on the bench.

Tick-Tock Empty Re: Tick-Tock

Sebastien never understand running as a type of exercises. Although his brother did that on a daily basic, he even made Sebastien accompany him a few times, but while Christian saw running as some sort of fun Sebastien saw running only as way for escaping from some situations. He was more a man for, well, everything except running, only good genes were meritorious for his good looking. Not that he cared, thought.

Hearing someone calling his name he turned around. To be honest he didn't expect he'll be found here, well he chose this place just because he thought no one will go in there. Ariella sat on the bench beside him. He met her when the school started but since he was a lone wolf he has never talked with her before. Sebastien guessed that would change pretty soon, unlike his usual behaviour he needed to act politely, un least till he's at school. The main reason for a change was he couldn't afford to get fired. Not because he started to like being in Hogwarts again, but because he needed something he thought he could find in Hogwarts' library. A cure for lychantropy. That's why he applied to this job in the first place.

"'Morning, Ariella." This Korean woman was to young for him to remember her from his Hogwarts' years, after he did a little math he found out they schooled at the same time, but he was on his fifth year when she came so he never payed an attention. The only thing he knew about her was her name, former house and profession, and he was pretty sure she doesn't know more about him, he would like to keep that that way. At least until the next full moon when he'll need to tell her what he is, he assumed he needed to tell the healer he's a werewolf but he decided he'll postpone that for now. She can't help him anyway. "Isn't a bit early for walking?"

OOC. Sorry for being late, I have many exames lately, and it's not over yet, unfortunately.

Tick-Tock Empty Re: Tick-Tock

Post by Ariella Rhodes Thu Nov 20, 2014 4:54 am

When Ariella saw the figure turned around she felt relief rush through her. It could have been anyone up in the clock tower. She knows that Hogwarts is very well protected but one can never know when a threat can just march into Hogwarts undetected. It has happened before and it will happen again. History has a tendency to repeat itself, no matter how many times people try not to make the same mistakes. Ariella never really comes up to the clock tower, but for some reason she just walked right up.

She sat down next to Sebastien. She saw that he looked rather tired, so she wondered why he wasn't sleeping right now. Ariella has noticed that he always looked tired. She was observant like that, and always has been. Ariella's introverted side tends to come out when she wasn't doing anything.

"Good morning," She said with a smile of her own. She has only known Sebastien for a short amount of time. The two did attend Hogwarts, but he was at least a fifth year while she was just a first year at Hogwarts. The age difference was a big reason why the two never really met when they were in school. All she knew about Sebastien was what he does for a living, his former house, and who his brother is. Ariella thought it was interesting that a guy would want to work at a library.

"Yes, but I couldn't fall asleep." She replied to his question. She really couldn't. Her brain just wouldn't shut down no matter how many times she tried to relax in bed. "What about you? You look pretty tired." Ariella added as she turned to look at the former Slytherin.

OOC: It's alright, I have finals coming up too

He guessed he wasn't the only person with troubles with sleeping here.

However that thought didn't bought him not even a hint of joy like it usually would. That only meant that Hogwarts now has, not one but two tired employees. Awesome. Brisk morning air in his lungs waken him up a bit, it's nice to know that cold day like this have at least one good side, he thought and buried his hands deeper in his pocket to make himself warmer. Did he said good side?

Sebastien glanced at Ariella just to notice a smile on her face. How could people be so happy this early in the morning? There's just a few thinks that Bastien knew about his colleague, she was more or less like a blank piece of paper, unknown. Majority would be curious to find more and more things about her but Sebastien had no intent to do so. First, he was too lazy to do so. Second it would occupy too much of his free time, the time he could spend doing the thing that made him come all the way back to Hogwarts' castle thought he swore he will never put a foot somewhere in between its stone walls. Third, he simply didn't care, he didn't want to know every detail of someone's life. Hell, he sometimes doubted he knows every detail of his life, so why bother with the lifes of others?

"Me neither." For a second he felt a hint of compassion to this former Hufflepuff but another rush of wind blown it away. Bastien sighed, choosing to ignore her comment about him looking tired. He would be fool if he thought the lack of sleep wouldn't affect on his life, even on his appearance, although he hoped that won't come this quick and that it won't be so obvious. Someone might notice. And the first person that noticed that was this little brunette, who surprisingly was a healer, too, and he kept away from them as far as possible so they couldn't start noticing his symptoms. And then he just finds himself eye in eye with a healer. What a lucky man he was.

(OOC. Sorry again, for waiting, and for this reply being so awful, I have no inspiration. :S)
