Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Airy cursed when the spell didn't hit the stupid Gryffindor. And she prepared herself for another spell to come flying at her, but she was taken off guard by the door to the Great Hall opening and a professor stepping out. Immediately a spell whooshed past Airy and landed directly at the professor who had come out after her meal, and hit her square in the chest.

Oh no.

It was Miserable Mary, that stupid Divination teacher who cried about EVERYTHING. Everyone knew of her, even if they hadn't taken her classes. She cried after everything, when she ate, when she saw something sad, didn't matter, that woman was either crying or about to cry. And she had just been hit in the chest with a full force jelly-legs jinx.

Airy spun around to look at Natalie with a glare. "What the hell was that for?! What kind of weak a** dueler aims their wand where they are looking?! She didn't do anything to you! This is between me and you!" Airy jumped to her feet and half ran to the poor sobbing Professor. It wasn't that she felt bad for the teacher being hit, she just believed if you dueled you dueled between two people, and didn't bring others in.

She raised her wand and whispered the counter-jinx, aiming at the professor in an attempt to stop the wiggling of her legs and maybe not get herself into a mountain of trouble.

Oh gosh. What on earth had she done? She'd just accidentally attacked a teacher, something she never thought she would do. Sure Natalie didn't have a lot of respect for them at times but to hit them with a hex? That was something she never saw coming, nor did Mary Mist evidently.

'You can hardly talk!' Natalie barked back to Aurora, 'If you didn't start this in the first place this would never have happened.' The Gryffindor said before rolling her eyes at the Slytherin, who had now began to help Professor Mist - not that the divinations professor seemed to have even noticed as she continued to sit on the crowd with tears streaming down her face.

'I guess that means I win seeing as you've forfeited?' Natalie added, raising her eyebrow and giving her wand a rather victorious swish. It wasn't the win she intended, but considering Aurora had stepped down surely that mean't she had won?

Whoever had reversed the sudden jinx Mary didn't know, nor did she want to know. All she knew is that she wanted to be as far away from the entrance hall as possible. She wanted to run a hot bath where her tears wouldn't be recognised, sink into the warm waters and escape from this pure victimisation.

Wiping her tears away she, clutching hold of the Slytherin student, pulled herself from the floor before glancing at the Slytherin.

'You. You did this? You were the one who, who-' Although it seemed a frog had hopped into the Professors throat as she couldn't finish saying exactly what she wanted to say.

'I- I should give you both a detention!' Mary cried, much to the dropping of Natalie's jaw. She'd never gave a detention before, it was something Mary didn't agree in. Locking students away and making them do monotonous tasks, they were teenagers after all not animals - not that it was okay to lock animals up and make them carry out tasks you'd rather not.

No. There was no other way. Mary would simply have to let them off, let them off with a warning yes. But wait. Wouldn't a warning be a little harsh as well, it could have been an accident? But then the two students shouldn't have even had their wands out anyway, and right in front of the great hall! Oh the cheek!

'Just. Just. Just go to your common rooms!' Mary finally said, 'And don't let me catch you with your wands out again!' She said before hurrying, tears in her eyes, up the marble staircase and out of sight - stumbling on her robes slightly as she did.

Airy glared at the Gryffindor as the teacher grabbed onto her and stood up, before finally telling them to go to their Common Rooms and put their wands away. She didn't expect anything more from Miserable Mary, but the poor woman was so shaken up, Airy wondered if she should help her back to her office or something. But the woman was already gone up the stairs, half flying in her attempt to get away from them.

After hearing the Gryffindor speak however, she felt her body tense and she marched right up to the girl. "This isn't over, Me. You. I call for a duel tonight at Midnight, you can choose the place." She said in a hiss, her face mere inches from the Gryffindors, her wand clutched in her hand, for she had yet to put it away. She didn't like this Gryffindor girl, thinking she had won after hexing a teacher.

No.. this wasn't over, this was far from over, this had barely begun.

Natalie couldn't help but smirk when the Miserable Mary Mist hurried off up the marble staircase, she even giggled a little when the professor stumbled on her robes. That woman had issues. Natalie thought she did, given her rather unpredictable temper and her ability to care less about her grades but Mary Mist was an entire different quaffle game.

The Gryffindor didn't move back, she didn't flinch, she simply returned a venomous glare into the icy blue eyes opposite her. Aurora Daniels wanted a duel did she? Well, Natalie was hardly one to turn it down, more so that she didn't appear a coward. Natalie could take Aurora alone but perhaps it would be fun to bring a few friends along as her second in case she died or couldn't go on - highly unlikely, Natalie thought but lord only knows what dark magic the Slytherin was capable of.

'The greenhouses.' Natalie replied after a moment of thought. 'Midnight. You bring your people, I'll bring mine. Don't be late.' She finished on a bit of harsh note before turning on her heal and following the footsteps of Mary Mist up the marble staircase. She'd shower, have lunch, then round up people from Potters Army and spread the word of a little duel that would soon be happening in the greenhouses that evening, location chosen for it would mean they'd be less likely overheard by Professors.
