Appointment Three: 11:00

11:00am.

One more hour before lunch; one more interview or meeting or hellish, terrifying jaunt of an activity - whatever it was.

Already, though, Elijah was finished and ready to go home and crawl into bed for a nap before an evening meal. He was sure Stelladora would have none of it and wake him up to amuse his children but, truly, Elijah didn’t even think he could manage eating at that moment in time.

The bourbon was beginning to get to him with nothing lining his stomach and despite Millie having brought him a cup of coffee, Elijah didn’t feel much better and for his troubles he knew it was bound to get worse.

However, the next two would hopefully prove a little more docile and less on the attack and plainly affronted by the Ministry. Hopefully, unlike anyone else that morning, they’d actually be up to the task of being married and of being a unit before doing what the Ministry was asking of them - children wise, that is.

All Elijah wanted was for two people to just nod and say they’d give it a go. The fact that they’d try. They’d take the loan, the house and the jobs and they’d try.

That’s all he wanted.

Still, he could dream.

As the minutes ticked on closer to eleven, Elijah could only imagine the worry going through their veins - both parties that is. He knew he was ready to keel over and he wasn’t even involved.

Hopefully, things would go better this time - but who knows?

Serena had heard about that new law about marriage. She didn't like it at all but she couldn't changes ministry ideas too. She did it take quite calm and she just couldn't stay mad at things for long time. Even if the ex-ravenclaw didn't had any plans to marry yet, now she had do it soon, she thought.

Serena soon had recieved the letter where she was asked to come to appointment at 11 am. Soon that day came and she did put on nice clothes and also she did put nice clothes on to her sister Marissa. Serena couldn't leave 2 years old girl alone at home, that neighbour who usually looks after her wasn't at home. Ex-Ravenclaw doesn't trust babysistter or day care people very much so she it was better to take Marissa with her.

They had some breakfast at home before they began to walk towards the ministry of magic. Serena didn't had any other way to get here, she didn't like buses or these any othe public transports. Taxi's even were worser to her tan buses, so she they went there by walking. Even if her sister all the time asked 'when we will be there?'

After some time walking they both walked into the ministry of magic. It was already almost 11 am when they did it, eleven minutes to 11 am. She did go into the elevator and did go to right floor. Soon she was on the right floor. She looked for Elijah Krum office. Soon she founded it and she knocked on the door with her left hand, since she did hold her sister's hand with right one. She hoped that her future husband will be good person. She didn't really had any idea with who she is paired up. Serena smiled towards Marissa and hoped that these to will have nice day.

Though Ana had not had any experience with either of the people in the next group, she would simply hope that it couldn't go farther downhill than the previous meetings. Perhaps both members of this group would be sensible, rather than one flying off the handle and panicking.

Ana was aware of how awkward the situation would be, but there were many reasons for the Marriage Law, some which weren't listed in the article in The Daily Prophet. As someone who understood the full implications of the law, and the reasoning behind it, she was highly unlikely to let the law fall to the wayside or go unenforced.

Reaching over to take Eli's drink, Ana drank part of it before returning it to him. It was practically lunch time, and she was starting to feel a headache coming on. If this meeting didn't go well, she would be feeling the need to come up with some new way to run the meetings.

A knock at the door announced the arrival of the first half of the match. It had become some kind of tradition for Ana to get the door, so she stood and opened it to find the woman, Serena, standing before her with a young girl in her arms.

"Good morning, Serena," Ana greeted. "Who might this be?" She asked, looking to the child. After waiting for a reply, she moved out of the way to allow Serena to sit. "Go ahead and sit down. Your match should be here soon." Ana assured her.

This wasn't going to be good.

He could already tell it wasn't. He already thought this new law was stupid, and now it might get worse when he found out who he was going to marry. That was what made it stupid. The fact that he couldn't choose who he was going to be married to. But if he could, there would be no point in this would there?

Not really.

Jake sighed, knowing that he had to comply with the Ministry, though he was really only doing it because he worked there. The other thing that made things worse was that he had to take Anali to the meeting with him. No one was around to take care of her while he went and he didn't have time to wait for a babysitter to arrive. This was just great. He hoped Anali would be preoccupied with something else while the meeting went on so she didn't start asking questions about it.

Too bad she had already started. "Why are we going there? What's going to happen, Daddy?" Anali asked, looking around as they walked to the Minister's office. Jake sighed and smiled at his four year old daughter. "Nothing Anali. Don't worry about it." he told her softly, knocking on the door to the office. He really wished he could just turn around and leave. Just walk right out and act like this wasn't happening.

But he knew it was, and there was nothing to change that. So he had to man up and walk in, even if he really didn't want to atall.

Soon door was opened and she saw there one woman, who did let her in. She didn't know her name or anything right now. She haven't looked into minisrty workers names, doesn't have time for that. Serena and Marissa walked in. "Good Morning," she had to say too then. "Good Morning," said even little girl Marissa.

"Oh, she is my little sister Marissa, im her guardian," she answered the question and did take then seat. Also Marissa did find herself place where to sit down. Serena looked around in the room. She really wanted to know with who she may need to marry now.

Marissa had asked questions too actually all morning but Serena just always said it's nothing at all, you'll get to know when the age is right. Serena just didn't want to talk about it with her sister, she won't get it at all what's going on. It's better if Marissa doesn't know.

Two children followed in by children of their own. It was mind boggling yet frighteningly apt. Elijah couldn’t help but appraise the Ministry for its choices. It was quickly going from the sublime to the ridiculous and Elijah wasn’t entirely sure how he was going to play the game quite yet. He had half an idea but it depended on how defensive the little ones got of their parents. Naturally, to join the two in union and therefore the girls in sisterhood would be a smart choice but, like their predecessors, Elijah didn’t think these two would agree to it either.

“Good Morning!” Elijah crooned happily. “How are we all?” He inquired, taking a lid off of a box that was full of Turkish Delight. “Are the children allowed sweets?” He inquired. “and how do they feel about animals?”

This was the way to do it, he decided happily to himself. He’d relax the parents or parental figures via making the children happy and then perhaps calmly they could all talk like adults and ascertain how things would progress on - hopefully as planned and without any hitches.

“I trust you had no troubles getting here this morning? I did hear London was quite busy today.”

Serena did listen what men named Elijah Krum said and asked. She thought a while before she could answer since she didn't want always decided after her sister. She looked at Marissa and saw her nooding. "My Sister likes sweets, she can eat them for sure," Serena then finally did answer. "She also likes animals and she can play with them," she then added. "But yeah I'm myself allergic to cats," she had to say.

"I and my sister didn't had any troubles at all, expect it was quite long way here to come by walking," Serena even answered to that last question. She had no idea what could happen here next. So she just waited, she had nothing else to do too.
