Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced Empty Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced

Post by Jaquellene Jack Dyllan Wed Sep 04, 2013 1:33 am

Now, this was the class Jack was excited for. Defensive and offensive flying. She would have opened it up to first years but, until they learned how to fly, there was little point. No, she would stick with second years and up, but that hardly worried her. She was excited to see them all arrive, and she was proud that the sport she so proudly played would also teach the kids to be safe. It was everything Jack wanted to give back to kids - the ability to defend themselves, and the love of the sport.

Jack had nothing set out but a small bundle of brooms. She had welcomed all of the students to bring their own, if they had any, as well as any padding. She had a trunk full of helmets, knee pads, arm pads, and a small body pad that prevented the wind being knocked out of anyone.

Everyone began to approach and she stood by the trunk of pads. "Come get some pads, put them on. You must put them on today, you will need them. Tell me your name as you approach so I know who I am hollering at. Then mount your broom and fly around a bit - pay attention, I don't want any collisions."

Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced Empty Re: Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced

One morning Jackson had entered the Hufflepuff Common Room to see a heard of students gathered around the noticeboard by the door. The bulletin they were all reading and chattering about was an intermediate and advanced flying course. Sure Jackson wasn't the best of fliers but there was always room for improvement and, truth be told, the excited buzz around the noticeboard had caused him to sign up along with William.

After wolfing down a large plate of sausages, fried eggs, bacon, toast and a goblet of pumpkin juice the Hufflepuff headed down to the Quidditch Pitch with the other Hufflepuffs that had signed up for the course. Jackson wasn't sure When he'd ever need to fly but was looking forward to having fun with his friends.

The instructor was famed quidditch player Jack Dyllan, who played for the falcons Jackson believed. He wasn't a huge Quidditch follower like Grace but defiantly supported the house teams and perhaps this class would make him more aware of what the players were doing during the inter house Quidditch cup.

'Jackson Parker.' Jackson announced as he stepped towards their instructor, smiling cheerfully before grabbing a set of pads and mounting the broomstick he'd borrowed from the broom closet. Jackson didn't have his own broomstick and the school ones weren't the best but they'd do - besides he was only here for fun after all.

Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced Empty Re: Flying Lesson 1 - Intermediate and Advanced

There had been rumours fluttering around the castle about a flying course led by none other then Jack Dyllan. Of course, upon finding out the news Romeo signed up straight away. If he wanted to completely annihilate the other houses this year in Quidditch he was going to take all the help he could get, plus throwing in the odd fancy Quidditch move would surely impress the girls.

After brushing his teeth for the second time that morning, something that was becoming a bit of a habit for Romeo, he collected his racing broomstick, pads and headed down to the Quidditch pitch where a large group of students already were.

Romeo noticed some had already began to mount their broomsticks, whilst others were collecting pads from a box. Being on the house team meant he had his own pads, he wouldn't be taken the ones to share. Fixing them around his elbows and knees he mounted his broom, kicked off from the ground and soared into the sky.

It had been a while since she had mounted her broom or gone anywhere near it actually. She didn't think she'd want to ride it anymore, or play Quidditch anymore, yet there she was in a Flying class that was going to be run by none other than Jack. Maybe that was what got her interested in the class. That it was someone who she was somewhat familiar with that was teaching the class.

Or maybe it was just the strange desire she suddenly had to play for the Gryffindor Quidditch team. She didn't know, she rarely understood herself these days. Whatever the reason, she was in the class and she was going to get back into the game.

Of course she was anything but pleased to see that Romeo was in the class as well, though she couldn't say she wasn't expecting it. Keeping her broom at her side, she smiled at Jackson and grabbed some pads. She looked at Jack and gave a brief smile, "Hi Jack." before she mounted her broom and kicked off from the ground.

Logan had heard there would be a flying class. He at first didn't want to go he knew how to fly pretty well but then he heard the complete story. One of his favourite Quidditch players was teaching it.He couldn't miss a class with Jack Dyllan.Logan thought it was kind of an advantage to have a beater teaching since he had the beater position in the Ravenclaw team.

He went up to the Ravenclaw tower he got his pads and his broom. He didn't notice he had brought his old broom but he took it with him in case anyone needed one.He arrived there on his broom he already had his pads on and he had brought his bat.As he went down he saw Romeo. He had heard what Jamie did to him but it wasn't noticeable anymore."Defeated by a girl, Zabini."Even if he wasn't sexist, even less with Jamie,he wanted to use any opportunity he had humiliating Romeo. "You fell asleep on your way down the stairs didn't you?"He had the same desire to humiliate him as Jamie had when she stunned him.Even if he didn't know Maura personally he couldn't believe how disrespectful he could be.

"Anyone need a broom?"He asked as he raised his Nimbus 2025.

Jack pointed a boy out, who was sporting Slytherin team pads. "Oi! You there. You're not special. I said give your name." If these kiddies thought they were getting a friendly instructor, they were wrong. Jack was passionate about the subject and she didn't have time for laziness or tomfoolery. She was here to teach and they were here to learn, dammit. Another boy had come down without saying his name and Jack pointed at him. "You too. Instructions are hard, I know, but I want you guys to really try." She smirked a little, winking at Hitame to return the recognition.

"On your brooms," she commanded, mounting her own broom and pushing off. "We're here to fly, not look pretty. If you want to be a Broomstick Calendar Model, go talk to Ivanov, not me." She figured any Quidditch fans would know her fellow beater Robin Ivanov. "Fly around in as safe a pattern as you think you can. Not fast, not slow, show me how you would fly with your guard up."
