Chord Progressions

Adrienne hadn't been into the Music room in ages, and had been missing it as of late. It was nearly the end of the year, and she wanted to drop by before she couldn't and was back home. This room had been the cause of some of her friendships as well as her best work as a violinist, pianist, and singer. It wasn't one of the things she often shared with people - she wasn't entirely confident in her abilities to say the least. Today, she just wanted to relax and sing a bit while she was the only one in there.

Her mum being a French Muggle, Addie knew quite a lot of the French language, and many of their popular songs. Today, she was thinking of "Je Ne Veux Pas Travailler", one of her mum's favorites. It was quite fitting. She was tired of studying and just wanted to relax. Mind you, Addie didn't smoke , but the rest of the message was fitting.

Walking up to the piano, she set her bag down next to the seat and ran her fingers over the keys lightly. Closing her eyes, she began playing and singing the song, glad to have a few moments of relaxation and relief from her constant studying. Ah, the life of a Ravenclaw.

Dylan had been lacking in his duties as a vocalist - as he called his usual song writing even though he wasn't in a band anymore - and he felt he had to go to the Music Classroom to work on the song he'd left half finished. Sure all the lyrics were there but he needed to hear how they sounded with music.

The boy grabbed his music notebook and flipped through it quickly, looking for the song. "This would be easier if Zandell were here..." he said softly. The song would've been finished a long time ago if his friend was still around, but he knew that wasn't going to happen anymore. He saw tears starting to blur his vision and he wiped his eyes quickly. He knew Zandell wouldn't want him crying over what happened, of course he wouldn't be crying if his best friend wasn't gone.

"I miss you Zan. Things aren't the same without you." he spoke, looking at the first page of his music book. "Here Dyl. I know you've wanted one for a while to write your songs down. Now you have it! - Zan" He laughed softly at the note Zandell had written when he gave him the book and sighed before heading out to the Music Classroom.

When he got there, he heard music and singing coming from inside and he stopped. The Ravenclaw opened the door slightly and poked his head in. He froze when he saw who was inside, Addie Reynolds,and he stepped in nervously. He shook his head and managed to keep his nervousness from showing though. She was a Ravenclaw like him, but she was a year older. "Hey Addie. That's a really good song you're singing." he complimented her.

[OOC: So, I kinda made it so they have a pre-established friendship/acquaintanceship so Dylan already alos has a crush on her. You can decide if she knows about it or not.]

Adrienne stopped playing and looked towards the door when she heard someone speak. Seeing it was Dylan, she smiled brightly. She'd been looking out for him in a way since he had lost his best friend. It wasn't that she'd just chosen she was going to take care of him - he'd needed someone and she had been there. Now they were friends and Addie was glad to have him around.

Their mutual adoration of music made it easy to get on with him, and they usually ran into each other in the music room - it had just been a while since she had been there.

Dyl gave Addie a light compliment, appearing to be slightly out of sorts though Addie couldn't say why. "Thanks," She smiled at him brightly, "It was my mum's favorite for a while. Very fitting for how I'm feeling right now." She laughed quietly to herself, running her fingers over the keys again.

Looking back up at him with her dark brown eyes, she smiled again and gestured for him to join her if he wanted. "Were you going to play something? I can move if you like."
