Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Place to Call Home Empty A Place to Call Home

Post by Chiara A. Giovinazzo Wed May 08, 2013 3:38 pm

Chiara walked alone around Hogsmead. It was five years ago, the last time she was here. It in indeed brings back memories. Weekends after Hogwarts with all her friends. After she went back home to Italy, she lost contact almost with all her friends. Now, after her parents was passed away and left her a lot of inheritance, she finally free to do anything that she wants. Not that she felt miserable when her parents were alive, it was just because she felt like home, here in England. In fact, she spent almost every holidays in Hogwarts rather than home.

It's been two weeks straight since she arrived in Hogsmead. Chiara decided to stay in on of the Three Broomstick's room. It was cozy, yes. But definitely not the place she would call home. She needs a new place to live. While looking for a perfect house, she was hired as a healer in St. Munggos Hospital. Of course, she finished all her training before in Italy as a muggle's doctor and also a Gypsy's healer, which makes her qualified enough without the help of spells. She loves her job as a doctor in Italy, but it was not as exciting as being a healer in a magic world.

Chiara reached an empty alley when she suddenly saw some kind of light, like fireworks, which is suspicious because it still mid day after all. She took her wand from her coat's inner pocket and walked silently towards the light, to see what is happening there.

A Place to Call Home Empty Re: A Place to Call Home

Post by Jaquellene Jack Dyllan Wed May 08, 2013 8:10 pm

Jack had been waiting for Chiara. Rumor had finally spread to her that the woman before her was seeking a place in the Order of the Phoenix. Jack had done her research and the woman seemed to check out. Jack had hoped to get someone else in the Order that was willing to put in some effort and help with recruitment. But, as Jack had come to terms with, the current members Order didn't want anything more than community service hours on their record.

So she was left to the recruiting. Though she should have been strategizing their next move, she was not doing anything harder than rookie field work.

She could see Chiara approaching and she tossed out a small firework, one that worked almost as a flare gun. Chiara approached and Jack stepped forward. "Chiara Giovinazzo?"

Chiara stopped at the end of the alley to find a woman leaning to the wall with her wand throwing firework. Okay that was weird. "Yes. Who are you?" she said and stopped walking but kept her wand on a defensive move. She was here only two weeks and this woman she never met knew her name, oh fine this is not a big world, bot not that little too. She hadn't met any of her friends, except Alaric, her Hogwarts time crush. He did mentioned a thing or two about groups of witch and wizard to take their stand. And after heard him, she thought that it would be an honor to join one of the good side forces.

Apparently, the magic world is in the middle of creating a war between good and evil. That would including some injured people along the way and she really would like to help. She needs to do something that matter. More importantly, she needs to blend in, to feels that she belongs here.

The woman did not recognize her - wow. What a welcome surprise. Jack was used to people recognizing her (either from her stint in the Ministry, because of her businesses in Diagon Alley AND Knockturn, or because she was a famous Quidditch player) that when she came across the odd person or two who did not know her face, it was always a pleasant surprise. Even though that anonymity would probably disappear once she said her name.

"I'm Jack Dyllan," she said. "I've heard tell that you have interests in the rogue group, the Order of the Phoenix. Am I right?"

Chiara rolled her eyes as the woman mentioned her name. She was sure, she saw her and read her name somewhere. Then her mind had a glimpse of the Daily Prophet that she read days ago in the Three Broomstick. An article about quidditch match. Boy it sure is brings back memories. It's been what, 7 years of absent from the magic world? She sure has a lot of catching up to do here in England.

"OH!! Jack Dyllan, the beater of the Falcons!!" she said and lowered her wand. Wow... What was this famous quidditch player doing here talking to her anyway? "The Order of the Phoenix, yes. My friend Alaric mentioned about that. Although i have no idea what was all these groups about. He didn't give me details, anyway. I just wanted to help." she said, befuddled with all the news that Alaric gave her about the past 7 years.
