A Night to Remember

After Hitame had said Yes to his offer, he would escort her closer to the dance floor. His mask still covering his face, and so was hers but he knew who she was. That was the tricky part, would he have to show his own identity to her and if he did. What would she say to him, would she hate him even more or break down. Of course there were more to happen, maybe she would slap him silly but whatever.

" Care to dance? "

He extended his hand out to her, seeing if she wanted to dance. He looked straight at her face, and letting his eyes roam her body. He didn't want her to feel weird about him, or think he was some sort of pervert. He cared about her, and he needed to show her that she could truth him.

Hitame still wasn't sure about trusting him. He seemed so familiar yet she was sure that she didn't know him. It was odd, she just couldn't shake the feeling that she did know who he was. She had no idea that the person she had just decided to trust was the same person she spent so much time and effort in trying to push away, from bother herself and her sister. And her family in general.

He asked her to dance and she just looked at his hand. She felt his gaze on her and she hesitated. Her body stiffened for a moment while she fought with herself, deciding what she should do You need to get over it. It's a ball, the last time you went to one it was the Yule Ball, and that was with your brother. That was it. You have to trust, even just a little bit. Her mind wanted her to trust him. He seemed like a good person. Not like she had been telling herself since she met the guy.

"Er ... Sure." she finally said, placing her hand in his. Her voice was smooth yet timid, showing her distrust. But she was determined to try and make the night a good one, after all she was at a ball, even if her original plans weren't what were going to happen.

Alex smile grew even larger, but went back to being normal because he didn't want to seem to eager. He took her hand in his own, feeling his heart start to beat faster from just mere contact. Starting to relax now, he started to walk her to the center of the ballroom with the other couples. Then stopping to get into a proper stance to start dancing with her. Keeping her hand in his and his other hand would be placed on her waist.

Bringing her closer to him, but not enough to be touching his own body. He started with the simple waltz for her to catch on. Matching her not to step on her toes, lucky for him his mother teaching him how to dance at these type of functions. He would have to thank his mother when he went to visit her during Winter break. His eyes were focused on hers, hoping that he was doing well.

Hitame felt herself instinctively stiffen when he placed his hand on her waist, but she told herself to relax. She had to calm down, it was only a dance, nothing was going to happen. Worse case scenerio, she'd fall and make a fool of herself here. As she thought this, she vaguely remembered the Yule Ball in her second year. It was blurry and uneven, but she was able to remember bits and pieces of it, including when she had tripped and spilled water on Xemnas. She almost laughed at the foggy memory, but she remembered that she was with a stranger and she wouldn't allow herself to seem like some bubbly, stupid girl who laughed at nothing.

She realized that he had started to dance, and she timidly began to follow his movements, trying hard not to look down at his feet. She had danced this with Xemnas before, she knew all the movements, yet her mind had gone blank. Right now, in her mind, she was an inexperienced dancer, all thanks to her memories being wiped. Hitame had been looking at the people behind them as they moved, watching how the others danced, when she felt his gaze on her again and she looked up at him. She didn't want to say anything, so she just smiled.

Alex looked at her smile, she was really something else and here he was dancing with her. But she seemed to be really trying to keep up, but he wanted her to relax. He started to slow down for her, not wanting her to try and match his steps. He returned her smile as he moved his head closer to her ear.

" Relax, just follow my steps and let me lead "

He whispered softly in her ear, then pulled his head away from her and then increased his pace on there dance. He didn't move his hands anywhere else other then her waist, but his grip tightened around it. Pulling her even closer to him, so that he could spin her around once then back into a waltz.

"Alright." Hitame nodded and smiled slightly at him. All this felt so familiar, but at the same time it didn't. She vaguely remembered dancing with Xemnas at the Yule Ball but that didn't help her right now. Well, it sort of did. This helped her keep her footing right as she danced. She began to relax and just pet herself move with the music, but she felt his grip on her waist tighten and she stiffened a bit.

It was obvious that she still didn't trust him, even if she wanted too. She just had too much trouble trusting people. She tried to get herself to relax because she didn't want him to think she was weird or anything because any time he touched her, or that anyone touched her, she immediately stiffened or hesitated and it made her seem sketchy and suspicious. But she couldn't help it at all.
