Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Sister Sister Empty Sister Sister

Post by Ashley D'Eath Sat Aug 25, 2012 1:37 pm

Ashley walked into the Cafe and quickly sat down. She had started her journey at 10:00am in Central London and had ended her journey 5 hours later in Diagon Alley, more specifically Cafe Twin Montez. Cafe Twin Montez was quite busy when Ashley went in and she had to go around a couple of people and try to avoid the crowd to get to the table she wanted. She grabbed a window table and sat down, relieving her feet of the torture she put them through the last few hours. But, she hadnt come to this Cafe by coincidence - she had been told by a few little birdies that her sister owned this cafe.
She hadnt spoken to Alexis for ages and didnt know what to think. I mean, they havent talked in years - anything could've happened in the mean time. The only sibling she had gotten to know was Milo and thats because he knew her situation and how it felt but could Alexis do the same?

By three o'clock the Café was starting to get pretty busy and she was having a hard time keeping up with everything. Even her friend Amanda was having trouble keeping up. "Remind me to hire more people this weekend." she sighed and looked over at Amanda. The blonde looking up from the counter where she was serving a man in his late twenties. "We really do need more help." her smooth and calming voice ran through the café to Alexis. The brunette sighed and nodded.

Maybe she should've thought about hiring more people from the beginning, but she and Amanda had been doing so well on their own. And then all these new customers came out of nowhere recently and they were getting even more busy than before. It was really tiring, and hard work to keep the pace they had when new customers came in every few seconds. Speaking of new customers, Alexis raised her head from her desk in the office when she heard the bell above the door ring and someone walked in. Alexis' eyes followed the furl who entered to where she sat by the window.

Her eyes had widened slightly as she realized who it was that had come in. "Ash ..." she whispered softly to herself. Her older sister who had left four almost five years ago, about a month after she was attacked by Kyle and turned into a Werewolf. Alexis was hesitant for a moment, she wasn't sure about what she should do. Alexis wondered if Ashley remembered that she had been turned into one of the creatures that their entire family was supposed to hate because they were Half-vampires. Finally, she shook her head and walked over to the table where her Half-sister sat and she smiled at her. "Hey Ash." she said softly, putting a menu in front of her as she was supposed too.

Ashley heard someone say hello to her very quietly and she knew instantly who the voice belonged to. Alexis. Her sister who was attacked by a werewolf and had been put in a bad position by the rest of her family. She turned around and looked at Alexis in the eye and instantly saw parts of her in her sister. They may be different in appearance but in personality and their pasts were so similair. Alexis and Ashley were turned away from the family when they most needed love and care and so Ashley realised she couldnt sit here and hate Alexis because it would be like hating herself.

" Hey Alexis - how have you been? " she replied, before adding " This place is really great - I've heard about it from a few people and they've given me great reviews of it. "

"I've been good." Alexis replied softly. "Though I have been better." she laughed somewhat sheepishly. Since the attack, Alexis had been a bit on the defensive side with her family. They were all Vampires and even though she knew they were still her family, but her wolf side didn't like them. That was why she decided to move out and not go with the rest of them to Malfoy Manor - now renamed d'Eath Manor. But as much as her wolf side and Damitrius hated it, the younger girl had moved in with her. Damitrius was also an outcast in the family and she was an easy target for the Death Eaters, who met in the d'Eaths new home.

"I would hope they did give good reviews. I've put a lot of effort into it." she smiled at what her sister said. A though crossed her mind right then. Was Ashley there for a specific reason or just because? "Ash ... what're you doing here exactly?" she asked in a hushed tone, making sure no one else heard her. Thankfully, Amanda had gotten the area near her and Ashley cleared. Her friend obviously remembered Ashley as well, but she didn't get close to the two of them.

When Alexis asked Ashley why she was here, she thought. Why exactly was she here? Why did she come back to the place she grew up when she had a lot of bad memories growing up? Then she realised, something clicked in her head.
Even though there were a lot of bad memories, she couldnt deny that there were at least 1 and 2 good ones and even though she hates to say it - he is where her home was for 18 years and deep down still is.
" I was just sitting in my mums house one day and I was thinking about everything that has happened and I realised I had run away from the place I grew up because of a person I call my father. I had let him get to me and as much as I hate to admit it - this place was always my home. So, I'm currently staying in the Leaky Cauldron until I find an apartment of my own and I've just become a new secretary at the MoM " she said quite solemnly before starting to speak again in a more cheerful voice
" AND if you are wondering why I am here at your beautiful cafe - is it so bad to see my little sister that I havent talked to for a few years. "

"So you ran away from Dad. But you ended up coming back." Alexis said softly, her gaze dropping to the floor. Her relationship with their father wasn't exactly the best after what happened to her, but he still accepted her as far as she knew. But she knew there was a part of him that still rejects her, she was his natural enemy now after all. As was the same with the rest of her family. Which was why she seemed so on edge with Ashley right now. Her wolf side didn't like being her being near Ashley, but she tried to ignore it.

When her sister said that she was living in the Leaky Cauldron, Alexis felt a surge of guilt run through her. She rubbed her arm lightly and looked to the side. "You better not be about to do what I think you are." "Shut up." she argued in her mind with her wolf side. She looked at Ashley and sighed softly. "W-why don't you come live with me for a while Ash?" she asked. "I wouldn't want my sister living in that dingy pub." she added.

Ashley was shocked at the offer. By the way Alexis was acting and her body language, it gave Ashley the impression that she didnt even want to speak to her right now and she doesn't blame her. She's the family outcast that ran away from her problems (not before telling her dad a few home truths of course) and honestly, she felt blessed to have a sister like Alexis. Now she knew who her true friends and family are.
" Thanks for that but I'll pay you rent and get my own food and all of that out of my wages and I'll stay out of your way - You wont even know I'm there. I dont want to sponge off of you. You've already done me a favour by letting me stay. " she said as Ashley was a very independant person and didnt like asking for favours as she felt like a charity case but she knew Alexis was genuine and she didnt like the idea of spending one more night in that dingy place whilst creepy old men tried to flirt with her.

"Ah, that's alright though. Family is family and we're here to help each other." she smiled. Although, with the d'Eaths she knew that was basically impossible. Their father wanted money and power and as for her siblings, most of them outcasted those that didn't share the same views, family or not. Though Alexis wasn't like them in that sense, she was following in their footsteps, but it wasn't for them. She joined because of her pack leader. Naomi was the sole reason she had joined, and though she was doubting where her loyalties lie, she knew that now she couldn't turn back from that. The Death Eaters don't let traitors off lightly.

Damitrius came into her mind right then. "Oh, Damitrius was staying with me during the summer. Now that term started she's at Hogwarts but she'll be coming back for Christmas and Spring break." she said. "She might be happy to see you again." she told Ashley. But she left out the part about Damitrius hating having to live with her, and the fact that their family took over Malfoy Manor. Although from the sadness showing in her eyes it was easy to tell that she was upset about her relationship with Damitrius now. It had once been a great relationship, one that Ashley surely remembered, but now after the attack, Damitrius had grown further and further away from her. The younger girl probably just hated her now.

Ashley smiled at the mention of her younger sister Damitrius and her mind wandered back to the previous memories when she used to babysit her and look after her sometimes when she was a little tiny baby and toddler but as they both grew up, the relationship kind of faded and more of a gap developed between them. There are 3 years between Alexis and Ashley so used to play together when they were younger but just like all the other relationships, it faded away. Alexis probably wouldnt even remember she thought.
"Do you remember when we used to go to a nearby park when we were like 3-5 years old and we would always tried to race to the swings?" she blurted out in a soft voice.

Alexis blinked a couple of times when Ashley mentioned something about them racing when they were around three to five years old. She bit her lip slightly and nodded. "Yeah ..." she said softly. To be honest, Alexis didn't exactly remember much of anything from before she was fifteen years old. She did remember some things though, but what Ashley said, she only remembered vaguely. Kyle's attack on her gave her amnesia, it was almost as if she'd been obliviated, but no one tried to get her memories back. She had tried for a bit but soon she just gave up. Cause no one really wanted to give her any information on herself.

"I remember me falling just before we got to the swings and skinning my knee. That was horrible." she laughed softly, trying to keep the memory in her mind. The pain was something hard to forget, and the image she had in her mind of the blood and everything was hard to erase. But it was a good memory because Ashley had helped her get bandaged up and then they just went on playing like nothing had happened. Even though her knee was stinging basically the entire time afterwards.
