Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Ah, Essays Empty Ah, Essays

Post by Keith Nicholas Wed Feb 15, 2012 12:48 am

Keith sighed and dumped his almost comically heavy backpack down on one of the tables in the library. A loud thump ensued, quickly followed by a harsh sh! from several bookcases over. Keith gave the bookshelves in that general direction a very rude gesture and sighed, pulling out the several books he had picked up only a few minutes earlier.

Keith hated essays. He hated working with a partner. Predictably, mixing the two did not result in a very happy Ravenclaw third year.

Even worse was that his partner was a gryffindor girl whom he had barely met, despite them being in the same year. Hitame something or other. She wasn't at the library yet - Keith could only pull the assignment out of a mess of rumpled papers and read the question to himself.

Grahams Second Law explains that matter which is created from nothingness is actually created from a variety of particles found in the "nonbeing" of the universe. Use what we have studied in class to support this idea.

There was the sound of a head hitting a desk.

Ah, Essays Empty Re: Ah, Essays

Hitame sighed heavily as she walked to the library with her bag slung over her shoulder carelessly. She had left her sister in the common room a few minutes ago when she was heading out, though she doubted Naomi would listen to what she had told her and she would go out to the lake again. If she got bullied by someone else, Hitame wasn't going to be there to protect her this time. She didn't have time to go around protecting her all the time, even though she always did anyways.

The Gryffindor girl sighed again and ran her hand through her hair as she entered the library. She had been paired up with a Ravenclaw boy she never even talked too, she didn't even really know his name, to do this essay. It was something they could have easily done alone, but no the Professor just had to pair everyone up. Hitame didnt mind it that much though, just so long as he didn't annoy her or get in her way, she was fine.

She walked over to him, placing her bag gently on the table so she didn't disturb anyone and she sighed again. "Sorry, I'm a bit late." Hitame muttered as she took her notes and the assignment out of her bag and and she read over it. "So where should we start?" she asked him, already scanning through her notes.

"I dunno," Keith moaned, not even looking up as Hitame walked up to the table and took a seat. "Something about Graham's Second law? I think I was seeing how high I could count when we went over that in class." He groaned again, looking over at his partner for the next hour or two.

She was pretty, he supposed, in a way. (but then again they all were) Hopefully she was good in class - that's what her vastly more organized notes seemed to indicate. Keith had never been much of a note taker. He preferred winging it. Definitely more his style.

"Right...so it's something about conjoured objects coming from nonbeing?" Keith asked. "Stuff we've covered in class I guess...don't suppose you've got anything on that?"

((Not all of this will be covered by HP, so feel free to make up stuff as you go along))
