Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The Road to Success Empty The Road to Success

Post by Jack Kubin Fri Dec 16, 2011 11:53 pm

The Road to Success is a long and hard one. That's what she said. Jack was as immature as ever, and he couldn't help but mock other people for not being as laid-back as he was. He was currently in Detention for giving a smart remark to a teacher when he forgot to hand his homework to her. This place was probably the most visited place in Hogwarts by Jack. Well, besides the Great Hall. Jack had a knack forgetting in and out of trouble. It was just that this particular teacher knew his tricks, and didn't let herself get fooled by him.

It wasn't that Jack was a bad student and wasn't smart. No, Jack was basically a genius at his level. It was just that Jack would often be smart to teachers every once in a while, or just not pay attention during class. It was something Jack was constantly told to work on. His attention span and his level of effort. He constantly had talks about this, from the professors, to his own mother. The only person that gave him the talks was his step-father.

Jack sat in the hard wooden chair, tipping it back every so slightly, looking around the room boredly. He coughed into his elbow loudly, the Detention Moderators head snapping up, their eyes boring into Jack. He gave a shrug and mouthed, What?, and looked back down at his parchment, his quill tapping obnoxiously against his desk, and then he started doodling aimlessly on his homework, his mind wandering around the place. Finally, after the homework s edges have been neatly filled with aimless pictures and other cartoons, he tipped his chair back again, the back two legs taking all his weight, and stared off at his homework, sighing quietly.
