Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Change of Pace Empty A Change of Pace

Serena had not had the time what so ever to make it out to her favorite tree by the lake yet this year. But today she was going to make it. She had packed a little picnic with food from the kitchens. She had her favorite book and some of her homework. Though she doubted that she would even touch her homework today. She made it to her trees a few students gathered here and there. Serena pulled out her blanket sat it on the ground and started setting up.

Serena put her basket on one end and the backpack on the other. Just in case the wind picked up and tried blowing her blanket away, again. She pulled a pillow out of her back pack and sat it up against the tree and leaned against it. She pulled out her food and sat it in front of her. She pulled out her book and began reading as she was slowly eating her food.

Today was a particularly boring day for Danny. All day long something had been bugging her, and like usual she refused to tell anyone what it was. It wasn't like she trusted anyone in this school to tell them what was on her mind. It just wasn't like her. Finally, though, her classes were over and she finally had time to think about what was going on in her life. Her brother was getting married soon, and it asn't to that Hufflepuff girl he liked so much. It was to another pureblood girl, who was also in Slytherin just like the two of them. Her name was Amy something... Not like it mattered to Danny. What bothered her is that she would, one day, have this happen to her. She would have to marry another pureblood even if she didn't like him.

Sighing as she walked to the lake, Danny spotted a girl sitting under a tree near the lake, and her usual devious smile came onto her face. Finally she would get to have some fun, something she'd been wanting to do for a while now. And this time her brother wouldn't stop her, because she wasn't pranking the girl he loved. This time she was free to do as she pleased. Anyway it didn't look like her brother was there anyway, so she didn't worry about him. With the same smile on her mouth, she ran toward the back of the tree where the girl sat, and she climbed with ease. To anyone who didn't know her it would sound like a bird or something landed in the tree and they wouldn't suspect anything.

By the looks of it this girl was younger than her, and she was sure she was weaker than her. The girl's clothes told Danny that she was a Ravenclaw. Her other favorite house to prank. This girl's reaction wouldn't be as funny as a Hufflepuff's reaction but it would do, to satisfy Danny's need for pranking. Slowly and crawled out onto a branch that was just over the girl, and she swiftly pulled out her wand. Smirking and the shadows covering her face from her nose up, she whispered, "Augamenti." Sending a small jet of water from her wand onto top of the girl's head.

As Serena turned a page in her book she heard a noise. She brushed it away as a small animal or a bird. She continued reading and eating her sandwich. She was getting farther and farther along in her book when she felt something wet hit her head. At first she thought a bird pooped on her head. That would just be her luck if that happened. She jumped up her book flying one way and her sandwich the other. Also she split her drink on her blanket. She mumbled under her breath.

Serena looked up in the tree. She didn't see a bird or a small animal. She saw another student in the tree wand out. Serena didn't know what to do. She felt the water run down her head onto her shoulders. "Did I do something to you to cause this? Am I sitting in your spot?" Serena didn't recognize the student in the tree. Part of the students face was in the shadows. Serena felt her hair it was completely wet. She knew the spell that the other student used. She used it in her charms class recently.

A soft giggle escaped Danny's lips as she sent the jet of water onto the girl. The girl's reaction to the water truly was funny. She had jumped up and sent her things flying in different directions, and Danny couldn't hold back her laughter anymore. She burst out laughing, and hung on the branch upside down, swinging herself, until she finally just jumped off the branch and landed gracefully on her feet. She stood up straight and stared at the younger girl, a smirk on her mouth. She pushed her long blonde hair out of her face and continued to smirk at the girl. She leaned in to the girl and cupped the girl's chin with her hand.

"You didn't do anything wrong, girl. I just thought it would be funny to see how you reacted to this." she smirked and pushed the girl back a little, standing up straight again. Maybe this girl should have been in Hufflepuff instead or Ravenclaw. Her reaction was exactly like the reactions she so often got from those gullible Hufflepuffs. It was always hilarious to her, how they would act all innocent and ask what they did wrong. Danny continued to look at the girl with her eyes in their usual narrow state, trying to intimidate the girl, showing this girl that she was someone who shouldn't be messed with. After all she was a Slytherin, and everyone should know that they were the most devious of the four houses.
