WHAT HAPPENED TO SUMMER?!

Okay...



This Thursday-Sun... Drum Major Camp. If I bring my latop, MAYBE a half hour a day, but I doubt I will.



Then Mon-Tues, first days of band camp. Not full days but still worth mentioning.



Wed-Sun(Aug 7), Spirit West Coast, where I bombard beautiful musicians with my love. Yknow.. the usual. No activity.



Then I have til the 10th, then school starts...



So...... If you get to talk to me in the next 2 weeks, consider yourself very lucky.

What? It cannot possibly be that late in the summer season! Check your calendar again. That means we're edging up on that F*ing cold weather again.

I know.. and once school rolls around, back to posting between 4-10p, instead of doing homework, unless I convince my parents to but me on independent study since the school keeps screwing me over with classes... >.>

meh....I'll vouch for you to your folks that you're already independently brilliant. and if they don't, i'll adopt you and let you finish with home schooling. More time for fun. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I know, it sucks. Tomorrow I'll also be gone a good portion of the day helping with a drama camp and preparing for drum major camp. So... yep. *sigh*

Has it been a year?! Daaaaang!

So! back from drum major camp. For those of you who care, here's how it goes.

I was widely regarded as the "Fun Drum Major." I was accepted into the Masters Conductors (the other three boys all used equipment typically and had been competeing for 7 years! This is my 3rd and only 2nd as a conductor!) I received Superiors (top score) on two of my evaluations, and an Excellent (2nd top score) for Masters Conducting. (We had to conduct Cantus. For those of you musically inclined people, it was very difficult. Cconsisted of changing 5/4, 4/4, 2/4, 3/4, 6/8, and 5/8 patterns!) I got a third in a drill down (out of 100 people), recieved an Exceelent plaque, an Awesome ribbon but that's not the best part.

They offered me a job as a USA instructor!

Wait... that's not the best part... I made FRIENDS! And dare I say it.... a BEST FRIEND!

Stoked! So, there's my geeking out. I'll be here for 2 days or so then off to Monterey for a music festival.
