Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Time to get up there Empty Time to get up there

Post by Rose Granger-Weasley Sat Jul 16, 2011 7:19 pm

Alexis woke up that morning feeling sick to her stomache. She didn't remember what day it was until she got out of her bed and walked down to the kitchen of her father's house. He was already awake, which seemed unusual to Alexis. "Good morning Father." she said, as she walked by him to the fridge. He was reading the newspaper, and he looked up briefly from it. "Good morning Lexi." he said back to her, and he looked back to his paper. She ate breakfast quickly and as she set out to leave the house, her father spoke to her. "Good luck at your performance tonight." he said, and she froze. She had forgotten about her performance completely. "Uhh... thank you, Father." she said softly and she left the house.

She apparated to Hogsmeade and sighed heavily. What was she going to do now? She didn't want to perform just yet, and she knew she couldn't get out of it anymore. The manager wouldn't give her another week to prepare. She knew that as soon as she walked into the Three Broomsticks. The place was already packed and as soon as they saw her come in some of them were already swarming over her. She felt uncomfortable and and she knew that this would happen everytime she performed. Alexis tried to get out of the crowd and when she finally did she ran out and walked through Hogsmeade for a while.

She became bored of having nothing to do in there, so she walked up the path that led to the Shrieking Shack. She open the door to the old building and snuck in. She would be able to hide out there until it was time for her to perform. The time passed quicker than Alexis had expected and before she knew it was about half an hour to her performance. She left the Shrieking Shack with the same feeling she had in the morning. She walked in the Three Broomsticks again and this time paid no attention to the crowd.

She looked around once at everyone in the pub, and she sighed. She grabbed the microphone. "Uhh... Hello everyone. Thank you for coming out tonight." she said into the microphone. "I'm going to be singing a song that I wrote, it's called, She's so Gone." and with that she nodded for the music to begin.

Larko rolled out of bed that morning, head in his hands at the headache he had. Walking to his dresser, he popped a few aspirins and started to pull on his usual daily attire over his boxers. He was wearing a new set of boots, biker jacket, tee-shirt, and cargo pants. Pulling out his phone, it buzzed when he turned it on, telling him he had plans that day.

This was truly better than a rememberall.

As he looked at the time, he realized he'd slept all day and it was almost time for Alexis' performance. So, he hurriedly ran downstairs and stuffed some cereal into his mouth before hurrying to brush his teeth and run outside.

He burst out onto the street and ran into the Three Broomsticks.

"I'm going to be singing a song that I wrote, it's called, She's so Gone..."

Sighing with relief, he found a front row seat and pulled out a soda, smiling at her with messed up hair, not having had time to comb it.

As she sang Alexis' eyes surveyed her surroundings. She could see people were enoying her song. Some were dancing, and others were trying to sing along even though they had no idea what the lyrics to the song were. She saw the people that were dancing in their seats start to get up and dance. She smiled and continued to sing. The manager seemed to be happy at all the attention Alexis was getting, that meant she would definately stay and sing more.

She looked around once more to see if anyone she knew, or she wanted to be there, was sitting in the audience. She smiled again when she saw Larko sitting in the front row. He did come. she thought happily. The beat to the song began to slow and she sang the last words. "Thank you, I hope you all enjoyed." she said. Alot of the people applauded loudly and she walked off the stage.

The first thing she did when she was off of it, was run to Larko. "Hey you came!" she said happily, as she sat next to him. She was happy he came, since no one else bothered to show up. She told her family and still no one came, even though they showed their support.

Larko smiled at her and nodded his head in tune to the song. She is really great, he thought with an inward admiration. When she ran up to him, he laughed. "Of course I did! I feel sorry for anyone who missed that show! It was amazing. Do you wanna go grab something to eat now? We can get something here or we could go to an actual restaurant instead of a pub? Oh, and Ima take you for that ride on the motorcycle after we eat. We just have to walk back to my place, since I ran here."

Gently, he took her hand in his.

Alexis smiled and laughed. "So basically you feel sorry for my family." she said jokingly. Even thinking about her family not being there didn't make her feel sad or anything. She nodded at Larko. "SSure, but I gotta check with the manager first, hold on." she said, and she ran toward the manager. She talked to him for a few minutes, and finally returned to where he was. "Okay, we can leave." she said.

"If we stay here, there's no doubt I'll have to sing again." she told him. "And to be honest I don't really want to sing again." she added. "I don't mind walking." she smiled at him. "I actually like to walk." she said. When he took her hand in his she smiled at him. Of course she blushed a little but she didn't look down this time. "I can't wait to ride your motorcycle." she said and smiled.

Larko nodded, chuckling at the joke and waited while she asked the manager, then nodding again and smiling. He walked out with her. The cool night air rushed over him, and he bathed in it, feeling refreshed. Thank god the sun had gone down, else they'd have fried in the sun. He took her across the street to one of the many restaurants in Hogsmede, hoping that they wouldn't have all-magic food and might have something that they could actually eat.

"This place okay?"
