Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Some Peace and Quiet Empty Some Peace and Quiet

Kaily walked out to the Great Lake, hugging her books to her chest. She had just gotten out of class and she needed to relax. The lake was pretty much the only place she could relax, or get as close to relaxing as possible. She sighed, tugging on her backpack, trying to keep it from falling off her shoudler.

She reached the lake and immediately headed for the same spot where she usually sat under a tree. She dropped her backpack besides her and rumaged around in it for her sketch pad and a muggle pencil she carried around in case she needed it. She found them and took them out, placing the opened pad on her lap. She began to draw the lake like she usually did, and sighed once more.

His pack resting on the tree trunk above, the invisibility spell concealing him, Jack leaned lower over the girl, watching her draw. He was upside down, grabbing on for dear life onto the branch above him with a sloth. He watched her pencil strokes, and how they all swarmed together to create the Great lake.

Having a ton of homework to do, Kaily thought it best to get started on the work instead of drawing the lake. Either way since the homework was easy, she would be back to drawing the lake in no time. She placed the pad next to her, and rummaged around in her bag, once again, looking for her potions book. All she had to do was study the ingredients for a specific potion she already knew and had tried to make before. It was a simple potion, but she lacked confidence and she gave up very quickly, without even testing it. She looked in the book and read through the ingredients quickly and carefully, and once again picked up her sketch pad, not wanting to do anymore work.

The pad was the only thing she found enjoyment in. She could express herself on paper in ways she couldn't do anywhere else. She couldn't play any sports, being to weak and fragile to even run most of the time. She thought she was a disappointment to her father since she couldn't do anything he wanted her to. The only real talent she had was drawing and painting.
