History: Raoul is the older brother of Amelia Lyons. They grew up in the same household and thus were exposed to the same parental pressures. While Amelia continually took her parents criticisms as signs that she needed to work harder to please them, Raoul found an alternate solution to make them stop nitpicking his life. In his sixth year, he dropped out of Hogwarts and left home. He hasn’t been back since, wandering the country, finding work where he can get it, and crashing with whomever will let him. Although he misses Amelia, he doesn’t miss his parents or his old life in the slightest.
Personality: Raoul is rebellious, and is still in the stage of exercising his freedom from his parents regime. He is still figuring out what exactly he wants to do with his life, but he knows for sure he doesn’t want the same things that his parents did. Raoul is very self-assured, which can come across as cocky. He has the same wit as his sister, but uses it to win people over rather than to push them away. Raoul has an innate ability to get along with people, which is how he has been surviving since he left home. He is a charmer, and since leaving home has taken on a new, wholly positive “I can do anything” outlook on life.
He has all the freedom he could ever want, without any physical or emotional ties to hold him back… except for Amelia, whom he hasn’t seen since he left, but is still in contact with. She is the only reason he hasn’t yet left the country. Raoul is still hoping he can convince Amelia to follow in his footsteps, to get out from under the thumb of their parents and let go of the stress she is constantly under. Raoul is cut from a different mold in that respect, however, and his pleas for her to break free have thus far fallen on deaf ears.
Plot: I need someone to play Raoul because I want him to reappear in Amelia’s life. Raoul might be the only real chance Amelia will have to be pulled out of her shell. Amelia feels closer to Raoul than she does to anyone else, despite the physical distance between them. If he came back into her life, her world would be shaken up in a way that would be difficult for her to handle, but ultimately be good for her.
Play By: Arthur Sales or Danny Schwarz(this is roughly negotiable, but I would like the play-by to look very much like these two if you wish to change it)
Anything Else: Although Amelia and Raoul are related, please realize that they are very different people. They grew up in the same environment, but reacted drastically differently. He is as confident, charismatic, and rebellious as she is introverted, awkward,
and proper.
Roleplayer Preferences: Someone who can post at least once a week. I would also prefer someone who can write at least three solid paragraphs, and things like mannerisms, scenery, thoughts, feelings, etc., as opposed to solely dialogue. Proper grammar is also a must, and creativity and initiative preferred.
