Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Walking deeper in the forest Empty Walking deeper in the forest

Post by Malowney Catt Sat Feb 19, 2011 10:55 am

Malowney walked into the Forest of Dean, careful not to scratch herself. She was wearing some filthy, mucky walk-in-the-park jeans and a scruffy T-Shirt with an old green, muddy jacket. She didn't expect anyone here to be walking in their poshest clothes, except the wedding that Malowney had heard about, which took place in the forest.
She wandered around, thinking of what to do. Nobody went deep into the forest, so Malowney decided her bravest activity in her entire life is to risk the forest to explore. She was very adventorous, so this kind of encounter was fantastic to her. She picked up some fruit from a tree. It was squelchy and rotten, an interesting artefact for the forest.
She examined the fruit, but when she decided that there was no magical curse on it, she continued walking.

Walking deeper in the forest Empty Re: Walking deeper in the forest

Michael had decided he needed to hone his skills. He could only do so much in the backyard. St. Mungos gym had a wonderful climbing wall, but, well, it seemed to always make him a spectacle when he went there. So he had grabbed his backpack with Hiss--his climbing rope. his climbing gear, and tossed in a few snacks. He was wearing his old jeans, his work shoes, a dark green turtleneck and an insulated vest, rather than a jacket. His decision was to try to go see if he could still speed up the trees in the forest like he used to do. He figured if he went deep enough into the forest, he might not be such a crowd stopper.

At the last minute he decided to stop by Grimmauld and ask young "Sirius" if he was in for going along with him. He knew that Sirius often liked adventure, and climbing was often a great adventure in itself. He knew the young leader could fight, but Michael was interested in seeing if there was more than that to him. Or was a wand the only thing the courageous young man knew? It was a very interesting thought indeed.

Walking deeper in the forest Empty Re: Walking deeper in the forest

Jess had been sitting in his kitchen when Michael had come knocking, inviting him to join him in the Forest of dean to go tree climbing. Well, that sounded all well and good, so he'd agreed, telling Michael that he'd meet him in the forest in ten minutes.

After the old man had left Jess went upstairs and grabbed some of the bare essentials, or made some, thank god for magic. Soon enough, he was walking outside the door, and with a crack he apparated to the forest, arriving with a softer pop.

"Hello Michael," he said, shivering slightly, he'd forgotten how cold it was here, before shrugging it off. "So, I assume that we're heading further in?" He asked, beginning the walk into the darker parts of the forest, where the really tall trees stood, the ones here in the outskirts were only babies, saplings in some cases.

As the walked in, sharing some idle banter, Jess noticed some footprints. Stopping, and letting the man continue to ramble along, Jess took a closer look, noticing that these were human footprints. "Hello," he shouted out, as he'd noticed that they were reasonably recent prints. "Is anybody out here?" He asked

Walking deeper in the forest Empty Re: Walking deeper in the forest

Malowney saw other people coming into the forest, and saw another person. "Hi!" she said, thinking about if they would want to see her in the forest. But anyway, it was worth a try. The person seemed to be calling for someone, so Malowney walked over to him/her. (Hey is Jess a boy or a girl?) "I'm here," she said.

OOC: Jess is a male.

"Yes," Michael said to Jess, "We have to go further in, in order to find any trees of any significant size. The others just arent' enough of a challenge...." His voice was cut off by hearing a young woman respond to Jess's call. And then she came forward through the brush. Michael frowned. What on earth was a young woman doing out here, apparently alone? That was perhaps not the smartest move. It was either adventurous or stupid.

"You're out here alone?" Michael asked her. "Well, still, its better that the Forbidden Forest, I suppose. Are you looking for something? Maybe we can help you find whatever it is."
