Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. To Kill a Mocking Squirrel Empty To Kill a Mocking Squirrel

Post by Keith Nicholas Thu Dec 09, 2010 1:22 am

Keith zoomed through the air at full speed, eyes peeled.

He supposed that technically - technically, it would be considered against the rules to fly his broom outside the quidditch pitch. But Keith had done it before, it wasn't a big deal. He'd get a detention, they'd threaten to break his broom, whatever. He'd live.

He would however, not live if they found out about the squirrel. Why he had ever let it go after it had fallen into the cauldron he would never know. But it was a menace. People were starting to notice. Eventually the faculty would catch the stupid thing, and they would no doubt find Spice inside him. If the faculty got wind of Spice...well, his buisness days were over. Possibly his Hogwarts days as well.

Keith glanced to left for a split second, and the next thing he knew he hit the ground. He rolled to his feet, clutching his knee, and looked over to see what - or who - he had hit.

Just finished dueling his baby sibling Xemnas had a close encounter with a ravenclaw, and it was not a good one.Xemnas was hit so hard he flew in the air and twirled back to the soft grass.Xemnas groaned "owwww.....why....are....you in such......a hurry"Xemnas asked the pretty random ravenclaw. He had noticed he was on a broom,so he realized this must be very important especially since ravenclaws no better than to just break the rules when they feel like it.Xemnas held his ribs tightly,in fear that they might be bruised although he could take it.

Jack was strolling out to the grounds, bored as usual and thinking it may be a good idea to go relieve her boredom out on the Quidditch pitch. She headed out there, going to fetch her broom from the broom shed since she had left it there the last time she had been in the middle of her own private flying session. But as she strode across the grounds, her gaze was distracted by what looked like a midair collision.

She immediately turned and strode towards the figures that now lay sprawled out on the lawn of the Hogwarts grounds. As she neared she saw Keith Nicholas, her apprentice, and a fellow Gryffindor... X-something. Xemena, Xorias... Something weird. She hurried over and reached out her hands to help the two of them up. "Hey, what's going on here?"

Xemnas got up from his excruitating pain with a groan,"ughhh that what I was just about to ask."Xemnas told her still healing from his pain.He looked up to notice it was just any gryffindor student,it was a triwizard cup competitor.Him being a first year was very shocked and bowed for about two seconds, then got back up.He realized she'd probably be annoyed by that especially since she was still a 7th year at heart.Xemnas was horrible with celebrities,he didn't know really what to do.So he just stayed quiet, holding his ribs.

"Owwww...."

Keith blinked once, the sky spinning a bit before his head readjusted to his new position. He felt like complete shit, and his shoulder was throbbing, but that was all secondary to a slowly building panic.

He glanced around to see what he had hit, spying a very hurt looking gryffindor first year standing next to a very confused Jack. Keith groaned as he saw his cleansweep - it wasn't broken beyond repair, but he wasn't going to be flying anywhere on it for a week or two.

"Not good..." Keith moaned, pushing himself into a sitting position. or at least trying. He got about halfway before his shoulder buckled and he collapsed to the ground. "He's still out there...can't let him get away..."

Jack winced as Keith collapsed and she knelt next to her apprentice, putting an arm around his shoulders to steady him and help him on his next attempt to sit up. She glanced at his broomstick and let out a more pronounced wince. Oh boy, the broomstick. She was sure it could get fixed, but it still pained her to see a broken broom.

"Okay, Keith you need to calm down," she said, for once being the voice of reason, something she managed to pull off only when the correct situations arose for it, it seemed. "What are you talking about? Who is getting away?" She could not remember seeing Keith this frantic. Even when he had arrived at her house randomly during the summer on a mad goose chase, he had seemed more collected.

Xemnas looked at the ravenclaw who was still trying to get away but had fallen to the floor. He had realized that he was determined to get to his objective and there was no time for questions for him.Xemnas wanted to say episkey a spell he had read about but didn't have the power to .He didn't know if that would heal him or not. Then he looked at the broom, and it was pretty bad as well,he wish he could've casted Reparo to fix the broom. He knew he would apprciate it but there was no time for thank you either.

OOC: Xemnas, you can't use an episkey. First of all, its a healing spell, and you're trying to fix a broom that is broken beyond repair. Your spell would be ineffective here.

Second, even if it would work on a broom, your character is only a first year. That spell is an advanced level spell that a first year would not know. Hogwartst students are not typically taught healing spells here except through the St. Mungos internship program, available to older students. I do realize you might not have known this, but please revise your post.

Thanks,
k.

OOC: episkey was for his shoulder, and he says it wasn't beyond repair.Although I'm not able to use these spells it's good to point that out.

Keith appreciated the effort, but he had honestly kinda expected the first year to fail when he tried to fix Keith's shoulder. As the kid pointed his wand towards Keith's broom, Keith pushed himself into a sitting position. "Don't bother. That thing's going to need a professional working on it if it ever wants to fly again."

He groaned and grabbed his head. Jack was there, asking him what was wrong.

"That stupid squirrel..." Keith muttered, getting onto one knee. His shoulder hurt like hell, but that was secondary to the squirrel. "The squirrel. I didn't even know Spice could do that Jack, do you understand what that means?"
