Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Hufflepuff Common Room Empty Hufflepuff Common Room

The Hufflepuff Common Room is located in the Hogwarts cellars, near the kitchens. Like the kitchens, the Hufflepuff Common Room is accessed through a still life painting.

The room itself is a cozy round room with a pot belly stove in the centre. It has many round doors scattered around the edges and these open into tunnels that lead to each dormitory.

What makes a Hufflepuff special?

Little is known about what makes a Hufflepuff, with members of our house often being regarded as others around the school as "leftovers" or simply not outstanding enough to be sorted into one of the other houses. Some will even tell you this is backed up by the old legend that Helga Hufflepuff "took all the rest."

However, Helga's very willingness to accept any student into her house is exactly what makes Hufflepuff and its members special. Unlike every other house, which each have some unifying factor binding their students together, Hufflepuff is diverse. This is perhaps why Hufflepuff students have a reputation for loyalty and kindness but not much else. Because their house accepts people of all abilities, no one ability or trait stands out as being more valuable than the rest.
