Welcome to Potter’s Army

Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

List of Brooms and Wands Empty List of Brooms and Wands

At Potters Army we allow you to apply for your possessions, and then we admins add them to your inventory in your profile. This is important because if you want to roleplay in a quidditch match or a duel, you need to first have a broom and a wand respectively. We have created a list of all the Brooms and wands at Potters Army so that its easier for you to claim them. You can claim these in your application, or just PM an admin!

NOTE: You don't have to buy any of these possessions, the pricing is just to give you an idea of how expensive they are. but the brooms you claim must correspond to your characters social status. Ex: A poor character is not likely to hold a Firebolt.

FULL LIST OF BROOMS:

Shooting Star - Though its the cheapest broom in the world, it has decent acceleration and speed for its low price.
Speed: Average
Handling: V. Low
Price: 14 galleons and 11 sickles

Cleansweep Eleven - An average broom with respectable acceleration and speed.
Speed: Average
Handling: Low
Price: 21 galleons and 9 sickles

Comet 300 - A new brooom with high speed but bad handling
Speed: High
Handling: Low
Price: 35 galleons and 14 sickles

Silver Arrow - Used to be an old broom popular during the 70's. These brooms are now back, new and improved.
Speed: Low
Handling: Very high
Price: 40 galleons

Nimbus 2010 - The newest version of the numbus series and one of the best brooms in the world
400 points
Speed: High
Handling: High
Price: 100 galleons

Firebolt - A superb international standard broom
Speed: V.High
Handling: High
Price: 250 galleons

Thunderbolt -Though its the fastest broom in the world, it also has poor grip.
Speed: Highest
Handling: Low
Price: 325 galleons

Neverlanding - Though obviously overprices, this is the best broom in the world at present time. With its great speed and grip, people can fly with total ease with this, the quibler reported that people flew to the moon with the Neverlanding.
Speed: V.High
Handling: V.High
Price: 550 galleons

To understand how much each is worth, consider this. 1 galleon is equivalent to 10.07 dollars. So the neverlanding is 5700 dollars compared to the S2600 firebolt costs. So you are paying S3100 for a small difference.

Will edit with wands soon!
