Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Diagon Alley Fall Festival Empty Diagon Alley Fall Festival

Post by Khaat Lupin Tue Sep 14, 2010 12:16 am

Diagon Alley will be holding a fall festival in October. I am open to any and all ideas to help us make this event a success. If it goes well, I will add some sort of special holiday event in December to either Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade or both.

Let me know what you all would like to see for the Fall Fest.

I have a few ideas, but I want this to be fun for all!

K.

Maybe some booths. Characters could take shifts to run them and they could be fun to get some charries out of their comfort zone. And everyone should wear Halloween costumes. =D

Excellent! Super suggestions!

I'd like to do a pumpkin carving contest. Maybe a food tent selling all kinds of yummy pumpkin foods. I also thought about somesort of a night time event, like a gathering w/ a live band, or something. Not entirely sure.

Have some carnival stuff, like bobbing for apples (and bobbing for toads) and a dunking stall and a kissing booth.

And a man who puts weasels down his pants for money! And a gigantic roast boar. And morris dancers.

Oh, and we should have a caber toss, and haggis hurling for that distinctive scottish feeling.

Anyone get the feeling I could go on like this forever?

For nightly entertainment we could have a dance and Karaoke!! Big costume contest, and.. and.. live bats, with giant talking jack-o-lanterns! All sorts of creatures could be invited, so goblins and vampires wander amongst the booths and people, of course no eating people XD

good! anybody have any favorites? I like the ferris wheel, but with the big wheel in london, maybe a ferris wheel would be a bit anticlimactic? what about a pumpkin pie eating contest?

LOL. A useful topic for the site's ghosts. A haunted house is a great idea. Hm. Should we move it to Hogsmeade instead and maybe use the Shrieking Shack for a haunted house? Rather than hosting it in Diagon Alley?
