Why buy fruit from a supermarket? Empty Why buy fruit from a supermarket?

You never really expect wizards and other magical folk to do the mundane, Muggle tasks like shopping for example. To survive you needed food, water and other items such as those. This was what Aimee was looking for. She wasn’t the best in a Muggle supermarket but she wasn’t one of the worst either. Spencer would have been terribly disorientated by the whole fiasco. There were far too many people and it was like a bull fight trying to get through even without a trolley. But that wasn’t the case today -- that was just an example of what was going on normally. There was some sort of community faire going on and the football was on so anyone without a ticket was stocking up on beer and nibbles. As she wheeled the trolley around the nigh on empty store, she picked up a few bits and pieces here and there. She’d gotten some plant feed, that had been the first thing upon her list of things to do and she’d also got a pretty pot of assorted flowers that would eventually need to be planted in the garden. They were beautiful though, that was what had attracted the redhead.

Aimee was now in the fruit aisle. The good thing about supermarkets was that they had variety but she rarely bought anything in the way of fruit. She’d occasionally buy veg but she preferred to go to markets and other things like that. She didn’t do the same for her meat but she’d get her seafood off of the fish markets. It was just a better way of getting things but she hadn’t the time to spend hours at the market this weekend. This saddened the redhead but she hadn’t much choice. Audrey II hadn’t lasted which meant it was the first time Aimee had lost a plant in her life. The man she’d left the flytrap with admitted that it was his fault but Aimee hadn’t helped matters by purchasing the plant in the first place. She felt awful and wanted to at least pay her respects to the poor plant. Then, perhaps on Sunday, she’d have a look at the market. Aimee picked up a bag of apples and turned them over in her hands before placing them back down before pushing her trolley along to the barrel of apples customers could pick themselves.

Why buy fruit from a supermarket? Empty Re: Why buy fruit from a supermarket?

Lucas had been strolling around the supermarket in London, dullfully and pitifully. He was still a bit upset that he hurt a poor, innocent girl and needed time alone and ironically did it in muggle world, the world he hated so much because it hurt his sister traumatically.

Lucas was wearing blue jeans with a white t-shirt and he had done his hair up with gel but in a poor way and he hadn't bothered with cologne and just slipped on a pair of black thongs and that was it. He almost looked like a hobo, he had himself convinced that before leaving the house.

He was in the fruit aisle of the supermarket and saw a redhead. He hadn't seen many redheads these days. Everyone's hair was either black, brown or blonde and on a rare occasion for the elderly, grey or white hair. It was quite fascinating to him.

He hadn't anything in his trolley and was probably only using it as a leaning on kind of thing, which was bad for his back. He didn't care though, he wouldn't be in this phase for long as he hoped that Sophia wasn't the kind of girl to hold a grudge against him.

Not looking where he was going he bumped into someone else's trolley. He looked up and his eyes widened. It was the redheaded female, a girl he was looking at not that long ago, he resisted his eyes changing colour, in case it was a muggle and they remained brown, his natural colour. "Sorry..." Lucas muttered.

Why buy fruit from a supermarket? Empty Re: Why buy fruit from a supermarket?

Reaching up, Aimee grabbed one of the supposedly ‘recyclable’ bags and she opened it out. She picked up one of the green apples and turned it over in her hand before dropping it into the bag. She didn’t know why she was getting apples of all things. It would have been quicker just to plant a tree. Yes, she was fully aware that it took nearly a life time for apple trees to grow but a bit of growth-accelerating fertiliser would help the process immensely. Aimee didn’t want to wait until she was one-hundred and seventeen before she got an apple. She probably wouldn’t have had the teeth to bite into it anyway. Her eyes widened slightly at the thought and she shook her head. She dropped the bag of apples into the front of the trolley and they travelled down to the back where the flowers and the plant feed were.

She rolled her eyes and took another one of the recyclable bags before moving along to the pears. She’d always preferred pears generally. They were softer once they were ripe and although they were sticky, it was worth it in the end. She picked one up and held it close to her face to inspect it but her concentration was broken when she heard the smash of trolleys colliding. The redhead jumped and the pear slipped from her grasp, landing in the bag. She was sure that its landing was influenced by magic but she didn’t think much of it. She looked up at the person that had bumped into the trolley and she held the bag close to her. “N-no...” She said, her voice coming out in more of a mumble. “I was probably in the way...only a matter of time ‘til that happens.” She felt her cheeks heat and her face flushed crimson. Aimee’s hand went up to cover her cheek and she ducked her head a little out of embarrassment. Perhaps he was Muggle and would let it go. Hopefully he would. Aimee was never good at hiding her magical heritage from Muggles. That was why she always found it difficult to talk to her dad about the magical world because she got too carried away.
