The dragon perched in a cave on a small cliff, looking out into the sunshine. He blinked once, twice, and then stretched out his neck and his wings, scraping the walls of the cave. He blinked again, his snake like tongue sliding across his long, world-reknown teeth. He knew the fear his teeth struck in all creature, not only for their size and ferocity, but for the poison that lay inside.
Such was the life of the Peruvian Vipertooth. He had flown here for the summer after being beaten out of his homeland, and luckily, this forest was warm enough and so swollen with life, that so far, he had been able to thrive in it. His belly was full, his talons sharp, and his eyes were bright. It was all good.
He slunk out of the cave and stood at the edge of the cliff, his paws on the overhang. He looked about, his breathing steady. Something flicked into his vision a ways off. Deer. He had been used to cows and goats before, but was becoming accustomed to the lovely taste of venison. He pushed off the cliff, his wings unfurling and he dove towards the spot.
He came down on the deer, pressing it into the ground with one paw as he landed, making the earth tremble around him. He carefully lowered his head and sniffed the deer, but there was no need. It was dead, killed by the force of the dragon pinning him. The dragon gently removed his paw and ripped into the deer, eating it in two bites.
He licked a trickle of blood from his lip and he breathed in. He could smell nearby water. He walked forward, towards the smell, and soon arrived at a brook. He lowered his head to the water, breathing it in. He snorted and then began to lap up the water, much in the way a cat would, completely at ease.
OoC: Here is info on the vipertooth, and here is how I imagine him to look.
