shroom pickin...

It seemed to him that the more dangerous a place was, the more likely it was to be abundant with all his desired ingredients. Any person would normally take caution to exploring a potentially dangerous area, but he was determined and excited to find what else the forest had inside.
Though he appeared to be less than that. Louis slowly stepped through the forest, clutching his wand tightly, and jumping at any sound... including his own footsteps. The deeper he got, the faster his heart raced. Where were those damn mushrooms when you needed em.... and was someone following him? He gulped at the loud crunch of leaves, immediately whirling around. OKAY now THAT had to be someone... right... ?

He raised his shaky hand warily and stuttered "I-Im armed yknow... S-sso I suggest you... you uhm... leave quietly!" he stammered at atlast, though failing miserably at coming off threatening.

Sophia was walking around the forest just to get away from alot of things that were happening in her life alot lately. Sophia knew she shouldn't be in the forest alone, for she knew what lurked in this forest more then anything... death eaters! As she kept walking she stepped on a branch and cursed herself for being so clumsy and scaring others. "It's ok, I won't hurt you!"said Sophia as she came out of the shadows and towards him. "You can lower your wand though, like I said I won't hurt you."said Sophia softly her chocolate brown eyes sparkling at him. "Sorry if I scared you, but it's so hard to see in darkness!"said Sophia as she got out her wand and muttered 'lumos' as her wand lit up.

Somehow that didn't quite reassure him as it should have. People were born liars, you never knew who to be careful with.. though the more she spoke the less threatening she came off as. For starters she was a she.. and serial killers were rarely women. Not to mention they were less brute when it came to deaths and would prefer the more vindictive way of killing by poisioning someone slowly without them knowing. He shivered at the thought, and finally lowered his wand.
"Scared? heh.. not me" he snorted "Just uh... had something stuck in my throat" he feigned a couple of coughs though he didn't think she'd fall for it. Just one look at him and it was clear he was scared out of his wits. "So uh... what are you doing here?" he asked, mostly because he couldnt imagine why anyone would be here... aside from himself of course.

Sophia raised a eye brow at him as he said he wasn't scared, Sophia knew it must have been a men thing for men never ever wanted to admit they are scared. "You know, you don't lie very well I can tell your scared by the look on your face!"said Sophia laughing her tinkling bell laugh. When he asked her why she was here she shrugged. "I come here alot to get away from things, it's the only place I know of that's calm and quiet."said Sophia softly. "Oh so rude of me, I'm Sophia Lestrange."said Sophia introducing herself to him as she looked at him with a questioning look. "What are you doing out here all by yourself?" Sophia asked him giving him a soft warm smile.

Louis tried to hide the red that was slowly starting to appear to indicate his utmost embarrasement. It was a very embarrasing thing for an adult MAN to be scared about a little dark forest.. with animals.. and veneous creatures... and shady figures. He gulped and quickly looked around just to make sure nothing came out to hack his brains out.. or devour him. Neither scenerio was better, and he wasn't ready to allow himself to fall prey to them. Though he was sure he would never be prepared for that, no matter what his age or circumstance. "heh.. you don't say" he mumbled through his teeth, not able to imagine how anyone would find this setting calming. Everything about it reaked danger to him..

"Louis Parish" he nodded "er.. would say nice to meet you but I would have preferred a uh.. less creepy place to do so" he laughed, and scratched at the back of his head, trying to hide his embarrasement. "Looking for mushrooms.. believe it or not, this place has got the best fungi around." he nodded excitedly "otherwise it wouldn't be worth the hassle" mhmm. that was right.

Sophia shrugged. "Ok well... I didn't mean it like that, my mother was kidnapped in this forest by a bunch of death eaters, I mainly came here to find them."said Sophia honestly. "Even though she's back, I still want to find the ones that made her lose her memory."said Sophia looking away. "I know it's foolish of me, and I'm only seventeen and I'll probably get killed but I want them to pay for what they done!"said Sophia angrily as her eyes turned black. "Oh sorry, you must find me annoying me just blabbering along like some foolish girl."said Sophia blushing. Sophia looked around for any creatures or death eaters that would come out and get them.

" Like you said, I would say nice to meet you but I want a less creepy place to say that as well!"said Sophia laughing and then jumping as she heard a owl hoot. " I have to remind myself why I'm in Gryffindor again!" said Sophia softly to herself but loud enough for him to hear. Sophia looked at him surprised. 'Wow really? I didn't know that, how can a creepy place like this have the best mushrooms? It doesn't make sense."said Sophia laughing. Sophia nodded. "You got that right, I'm not even sure I'll be here even if it was good mushrooms here this place freaks me out!"said Sophia honestly. "You need any help? Maybe it will go faster if I help just a suggestion."said Sophia softly.

He wasn't sure if he was more shocked about what happened, or her determination to find the bastards who did that to her parents. Maybe it was the fact that he was muggleborn, or a complete wuss, but he was amazed at her courage. He tried to hold back the urge to pat her on the back and say good girl, except it seemed to him like a very unadult like thing to do. Normally they'd play the role of the nemesis and scold them for acting irrational and acting on impulse. "No not at all" he shook his head "It's just dangerous to be out here alone and looking for vengeance..." he nodded "atleast by yourself. I mean, death eaters rarely work alone, its more in numbers, and the odds of a single person, regardless of gender winning against three or four people experienced in what they do is uh highly unlikely" His inner nerd left his lips before he could stop himself.

Though her sudden change of mood surprised him. Jumping at owls and looking fearful, he was suspicious of this being just a facade to throw him off in case she feared him blowing her cover. But perhaps it was just one of those rare cases of courage when peril is at way. "Must be the darkness... not all mushrooms are good" he laughed. "Sure I could do with some helping but try not to touch on impulse. My first year of studies I saw a plant I had only read about and went to grab and examine it, By the time I realized I wasn't wearing gloves it was... a little too late. My hands grew about ten times its size" he shivered at the thought and lifted his hands up to look at it "Hell I think it still hasn't gone done. They still look abnormally large.." He furrowed his brow trying to think how they looked before it all happened but nothing came to mind.

"You sound like my farther when you say that, he wouldn't want me out here by myself as well."said Sophia softly. "Oh you don't have to tell me, I already know I get chased by them almost every day!"said Sophia shrugging like it wasn't a big deal anymore. "Either it's me getting chased by them or Ne'Os Emof or one of his workers."said Sophia softly. "The death eaters are out to haunt me down and get my blood because it will make them stronger and faster like I am and Ne'Os Emof is out to kill me because I dueled him once and he tried to kill me but failed only putting me in a coma and losing my memory."said Sophia explaining her enemies to him. "But I am very well protected by the ministry though being the minister's daughter and all."said Sophia softly.

Sophia blushed when she realized he seen her jump when the owl hooted in a tree somewhere in the woods. "I should have been used to that, I hear it almost everyday!"said Sophia softly to herself. Sophia nodded. "Of course, I know not all of them are good!"said Sophia laughing. As she started helping him she looked around for some good mushrooms and found some right under a tree. When she heard him tell the story about how he touch a plant in his first years of studies but when he did his hands swelled how about ten times there normal size. "I think they look fine to me, but if always want them resize my mother could do it, she's really good at those things seeing how she's a healer."said Sophia softly.

Chased by death eaters.. every day?! He stopped his jaw from dropping but the shocked look on his face remained. What were they doing chasing around a young girl... though the more he thought about it the more sense it made. She wasn't bad looking and he was sure bad guys generally didn't have a sense of morals... Though somehow he felt like that wasn't the reason behind it all. "... the ministers daughter?!" he gaped looking at her up and down. No wonder she had that sense of courage, it practically ran through her veins.

"Wow those look great." he kneeled over where she was out and plucked it from the ground picking it and examining it. "Looks like bleching carandis" he smiled to himself and plucked a few tossing them into his bag. "They're great for potions pertaining to the vocals and throat area and also make quite a nice stew if I dont say so myself... but the side effects are hardly worth it" he shook his head "lots of belching as its name would insist" When she mentioned the bit about resizing his hands he laughed "nah, I think I like them being a little bigger you know what they say about a man with big hands" he winked at her jokingly though realized how inappropriate it was, he coughed loudly and pointed randomly somewhere "oh look a .... rock!" he blurted trying to change the topic.

Sophia laughed her tinkling bell laugh. "Yes I am."said Sophia still laughnig as he looked up and down with a shock look on his face. "Thanks, I read alot about muggle and magcal plants!"said Sophia softly as she looked for some more mushrooms. Sophia nodded when he said there great potions pertaining to the voclas nad thoroat. "Yeah my mother gives me the potion all the time when I'm sick with a sore thoart."said Sophia softly as she put some mushrooms in his bag. "Lots of belching?"Sophia adsked him confused about what he meant. Sophia laughed her tinkling bell laugh. "Yeah I heard the saying about man with big hands!"said Sophia smiling at him. Sophia laughed again when he pointed to a rock. "Yeah... it's a pretty big one."said Sophia honestly looking at the rock .
