17th B-Day

The room was pretty much perfect. No decorations but the stunning San Francisco skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. Jamie wore a dress dispite her wishes for this event to be casual had been diminished by her mother who had insisted it be black tie. They had some to a agreement of semiformal but Jamie was still unhappy about the glitter that hung around her heels. She had invited the people who had imediately thought of when she thought of friend or party. With hesitation she sat down on one of the brown seats, making sure not to wrinkle her overly fancy dress.

Sophia apperated to where Jamie told her she was having her seventeenth birthday party. When she appeared beside Jamie he smiled. "Wow Jamie, everything looks amazing, and yo look so pretty!"said Sophia smiling bending down and hugged her. "Oh happy birthday by the way."said Sophia as she pulled away and straighten her white dress. Sophia was wearing a wqhite fluffy dress with pink glittery flowers on it with her hair down and curly with very little make-up on. "Oh I got you a present, I hope you like it."said Sophia softly.

"Sophie! Thank god" Jamie exclaimed happily as Sophia hugged her, thrilled to see her best friend. "Thanks" Jamie said. "I can't belive I'm 17 now" she said laughing. "You look stunning too! You didn't have to dress up. At least now I don't feel so stupid". Jamie shrugged, still smiling. It was nice to be around Sophia when she wasn't having a fit. Jamie dismissed the thought, the memory was painful to think about.

Landon could only be at the place he assumed Jamie was holding her seventeenth birthday. It was a big day so of course he had to be there for one of his best friends. The room was spectacularly decorated; the view outside of the large windows was magnificent. He had never been to America and he was getting a good vibe from it already. It was then that his eyes fell on two girls who both were of importance to him: Jamie and Sophia. They both looked beautiful all dressed up like that and Landon was glad he hadn't gone the more casual route. He'd been toying around with just showing up in jeans but he assumed that would be slightly disrespectful. Landon shot Sophia a lopsided smile, "Hey Sophia." But then he bent down to give the birthday girl a hug, "Happy birthday Jamie!" After releasing his hug he nervously pulled out her birthday present. It was wrapped in brown paper, he didn't have anything else on hand. But his mother had come to his assistance, helping him pick out a perfectly nice pair of earrings for her. Hopefully she'd like them.

Abbey apparted to outside the building where Jamie was holding her party. She checked the invitation again to make sure she wasn't late, then walked inside. She closed the huge doors quietly and looked around. Abbey gasped. The room was gorgeous; all you could see through the glass mirrors was the San Fransisco skyline. This was definitely a party that Jamie would organize. Abbey saw Jamie and....Sophia. Abbey stopped short of herself as she saw the two chatting happily. 'This is going to be fun.' Abbey thought bitterly. How was she supposed to enjoy herself when Sophia was going to be here? They hadn't talked to each other since their huge fight by the lake many months ago when Sophia had found out Abbey was in the Confederacy. But how could she still be mad at her? Ever since Christy had disappeared, the Confederacy had been inactive, barely holding any meetings.

Abbey closed her eyes and let herself breathe, telling herself that she had to be happy for Jamie; this was her party, and she wouldn't ruin it for her. Abbey plastered a fake smile on her face and walked over to Jamie. "Hey Jamie!" Abbey said, giving her a huge hug. She tucked her gift under her arm and said, "Wow, this place is beautiful!"

As Landon entered Jamie smiled and waved. Landon looked well.. beautiful. "Hey" she said hugging him. Jamie loved how she could hug him without feeling akward. "Thanks Landon" she said taking the small box and opening it slowly. Inside were a pair of earings. So perfect Jamie found herself blushing for an unknown reason. "Oh my god!" she exclaimed. "Thanks Landon" she said again. Throwing her arms around him again. Just as she releced the door opened and in walked her old best friend, Abbey Dawn.

Jamie was overjoyed. Abbey had been her best friend from what she fondly called 'the first stage of her life' a time that had stopped the moment she had realized she was going to have a baby. In the second stage she had found her best friends in Landon and Sophia. She had not seen Abbey in a long time and this party was like both sides of her life merging. Jamie barely noticed the slightly uncomfortable expression on her face. "Oh my god I missed you!" she said as Abbey hugged her. "We so need to get together more often".

Sophia laughed and hugged her back. "You really think I would miss my best frien birthday?"Sophia asked her smiling. Sophia smiled when she said he looked stunning as well. "Thanks Jamie, but I musat say you better then me."said Sophia laughing. When she seen Landon come in and smile at him he smiled back. "My my Lanny, don't you looks harp and handsome as always."said Sophia smiling. When she seen Abbey come in she decided to put the pass behind her and smiled and waved at her. "Hey Abbey, long time no see or talk."said Sophia softly. "Let put the pass behind us and become like sisters again shall we?"Sophia asked Abbey softly. Sophia hated staying mad or hating someoen it wasn't like her when he wa friendly to everyone.

Abbey nodded at Jamie's statement. "Yes! I can't believe how long it's been since we last hung out!" Abbey placed her gift on a table next to Jamie and turned to Sophia. She couldn't believe she was really forgiving her; this was more than Abbey could have ever hoped for. Abbey smiled, feeling small tears start to prick at her eyes. "Of course!" Abbey cried. She wrapped Sophia in a warm hug, so glad that they were best friends again. Now things could go back to normal.

Sophia laughed her tinkling bell laugh and hugged Abbey back. "Oh I missed you Abbs!"said Sophia honestly as he stopped hugging her. Sophia was glad things was back to normal now and that she didn't hate anyone now. Sophia couldn't believe she let herself hate Abbey who was like her littltest sister to her since she protected her that one time. "So how are you Abbs?"Sophia asked her softly as she looked at her outfit and squealed. "I love your outfit Abbs, it' SO cute!"said Sophia alway thinking Abbey outfit were uniquie but very cute he thought. Abbey was the only person she knew who could wear unique clothe and pull and off and look good.

Abbey smiled at Sophia. "Thanks Soph! So is yours!" Abbey said, looking at Sophia's dress. It was exactly the type of thing she would wear; Sophia hadn't changed at all. "And I've been good!" Abbey replied. "What about you?" she asked, wanting to catch up on times she and Sophia had missed since their big fight.
