IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A REVOLUTION

The new Hogwarts year was so close and it felt really weird to think that this time
Sue was not going to be there. She had convinced herself that she was happy af-
ter all. She never wanted to be in Hogwarts right? Then why these weird feelings
were bubbling out of nowhere? She would be finally free to do whatever she liked
to do. Totally free. She heaved a great sigh from under her hood. It was raining
very hard today. London's weather was usually as bad as this, always. Sue hated
it, getting wet in the rain.Though she was cloaked from top to bottom for security,
the Ministry people could be lurking out anywhere they were as unpredictable as
the damned weather was.

Scowling at everyone that passed her Sue made her way through the crowded
streets of Diagon Alley. She wasn't sure where she was going to go, but still it
was better than the place she stayed now. Leaning on a nearby wall and watched
the people passing by. Many of them were probably Hogwarts student, buying
books and other things. Innocent or not, they were safe. They weren't searched
by the Ministry members everyday. Sue just stood there, bored, waiting for
nothing at all.

Darren leaned against the wall of some shop, not really doing anything, he wasn't even entirely sure why he was at Diagon Alley. He was cloaked of course, his hood drawn over his eyes. He couldn't reveal himself in public, not anymore, not with the whole ministry looking for him. Apparently he had been listed as a Death Eater by the ministry. Darren smiled bitterly at the irony of that, a year ago he had been fighting the Death Eaters almost single handedly, and once Voldemort was 'defeated' the ministry began tracking him down. Seriously, he'd rather Voldemort was still alive. Cursing Dae, he took out his wand preparing too apparate, when he suddenly stopped. Looking around, he saw someone he thought he recognized, a girl. He couldn't see her face, she had a hood on, but somehow he knew who it was.

He followed her silently, and soon caught up with her. She was leaning against a wall near the most crowded shop in diagon alley - he walked over too her, smiling slightly, though in his usual mocking way. "You know, If I were you and trying to hide, I wouldn't try to do so in the most crowded street in Diagon Alley," he advised, sneering. "What are you doing here, Sue?" He was always curious to what Sue was up to, because it wasn't ever anything good.

The crowd was thinning around the street now. As Sue stood there, hearing the
rain splatter on the street she couldn't help comparing her luck to the weather.
They were so alike, they both sucked. It was a couple of days back when Sue'd
fully mastered the courage to leave the Death Eaters and now with the Dark Lo-
rd dead people were tracking her down. How much more unfair could this world
be? She hadn't even jinxed anyone at the Battle, except perhaps Ne'Os, but that
was totally because of personal reasons. Rather she had helped a little first year
girl. And this was what she got in return for trying to change. Only one satisfact-
ion remained. The Dark Lord was dead. Now she wouldn't have to spend every
night trying to block her mind from others. OR to be humiliated in front of his
other servants. She needn't even have to be involved in a murder plot for som-
eone she didn't even know. Her family were safe, from only the Dark Lord, but
between Ministry and Dark Lord, she'd anytime choose the bunch of dunderhe-
ads usually known as the Ministry. The Dark Lord alone was hundred Ministries.

Just as Sue's spirits were rising to a certain extent, hearing the voice she least
wanted to at this moments, all of them died out. It was hard to understand that
how he could do that. Recognizing a hooded person in a semi-crowded street is
next to impossible. Still, for Darren it seemed no hard work. Sue was just about
to take out her wand -their meetings never usually were as friendly- but guessed
it would be a really stupid move. She didn't want to end up creating a scene here.
Between Dementors and Darren, the latter was preferable. Resting back again
she glared at him behind the hood. He was cloaked as well, just as she was, were
the Ministry after him too? but that was not possible. Weren't he on friendly terms
with them? Whatever it was, Sue couldn't care less about it. "What's it to you any-
ways? Like, it's none of your business. anyways, I'd rather ask you, what are you
doing here? And cloaked like that? Are your ickle little friends after you?"
Sue said
keeping a low tone and added smirking, "I thought you and Minister were friends."

Though he would probably be in more danger if Voldemort was after him rather than the ministry, Darren would rather Voldemort were. At least his Death Eaters made things somewhat interesting. The Ministry was pathetic. Even as he watched a ministry law enforcer walked right past them without even looking at them. He rolled his eyes dully. Nothing had went his way, not only was he being hunted down by the ministry but to cap it all off, Ne'os had stolen his thunder and 'killed' the Dark Lord. Ha! He thought of them as fools, fools to be believe the Dark Lord was dead. Darren wouldn't believe it until he killed him himself.

Darren could tell Sue wasn't really glad to see him, that was obvious though. They had been enemies from the start, even when they had been on the same side they had both been constantly betraying each other. He however, was quite happy to have spotted her. Sure she might not be the best company, but at least she was rather fun. He had never quite hated her as much as she hated him. Seeing her smirk, his sneer vanished, replaced by a bitter and cold look. "Funny... Thats what I thought too, until Dae ordered a bunch of aurors to find me and capture me," he said darkly. "As for why I am here, I was getting myself a new wand, thats all. And I'm cloaked because, like you, I don't really want people spotting me. Though unlike you, I'm not really hiding," he explained.

Darren watched as slowly nearly all the people left Diagon Alley. Once they were gone, he took his hood off. If any ministry person saw him, he didn't really care anymore, Darren was really itching for a duel. "So your not going back to Hogwarts this year are you?" he asked Sue, his tone containing a bit of pity. However much he hated her, he still felt slightly sorry for Sue. After all she had been blackmailed by Voldemort to do his bidding. But the thing was, she had willingly killed people at his command and Darren realized he shouldn't really feel sorry for it at all.

IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A REVOLUTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The streets were almost cleared now. Sue could still see a couple
of people running past the street and going in random shops for
shelter. Then all of a sudden a Ministry worker walked between
Darren and her without caring to even glance at them. So Sue
was right. They were a bunch of blind dunderheads. As long as
Sue could get off with their foolishness, she didn't give a damn
about them. Sue grinned, and felt like she hadn't really smiled
for along time. Usually Sue smiled once every blue moon, but
while at Hogwarts, at least she enjoyed teasing Hufflepuffs and
Gryffindors back there. She hadn't even talked in a long time,
except to shopkeepers. She had been wrong, Hogwarts'd been
loads better than this life. Sue was glad that the Dark Lord was
killed by Ne'Os. Hadn't he called him the 'most faithful servant'?
And therefore Sue had been demoted. Now if the Dark Lord co-
uld ever be alive again, then he'd have to agree that demoting
her was a bad idea. But Sue didn't. Being demoted from Head's
position had brought her back to her senses. when she was in
her Third Year, being one of his followers was her passion. As
time passed it all seemed in vain. Questions often arose in her
mind as why she was helping in murdering people she hadn't
even any links with? Slowly when all of her passion died out
Sue decided it was time to leave. But the Dark Lord left the
world himself making Sue's way forward clear. Well, almost.

Darren and Sue hadn't really been the best of friends since the
first day they met. Their relation was something full of betrayals
and even more duels. Sue didn't why and how much she hated
him but one thing she was sure of, it was mutual. Darren was to
be tracked, after all he was the nephew of the Dark Lord. People
feared him no matter how much they boasted of not being afraid.
Sue felt a little easy hearing that Aurors were after him as well.
At least they had one thing in common. They both were being
searched for. "So, you are hiding. Doesn't make a difference of
not wanting people, or Aurors I'd rather say, to spot you or in
hiding. They are after my whole family as well. And me. But you
see, they aren't as noble as you think. At least when I betrayed
you, I'd for a reason. They are backstabbers. Cowards."
Sue said
with a bitter edge in her tone.

"No. Of course not. You think I'd go back to Hogwarts, when Aurors
are following me everywhere? There are even posters around......"

Sue regretted her murders of course. But to be honest she had as-
ked the couple before killing them. And both of them had surrende-
red. Sue was also young then, maybe Thirteen at the most. It was
not fully her fault.

[whats with the proboards style posts Rolling Eyes]

Darren hadn't really ever joined the Death Eaters. He had worked for them for a while but he had always been planning against them. He had even tried to find Voldemorts horcruxes for years. And Dae knew that. yet it was his fault he was now being tracked by aurors. He had thought before that it might be because of his last name, which it might be, but Darren was beginning to think it was all a personal thing. Dae and him might be friends, but they were rivals too. Dae had betrayed him several times already.

Darren also rather missed going to Hogwarts, he had graduated from there now. Sometimes, before, he had planned on going back to Hogwarts once he graduated to teach. Defense against the Dark arts probably. That wasn't really possible now however, because of the ministry.

At Hogwarts whenever he tried to talk to Sue, it would usually end in a duel. They just didn't really ever get along well. Now however, he doubted that would happen. She wouldn't be stupid enough to duel him here, and in a way they were both on the same side now - against the ministry. "Well I don't really think of it as hiding," Darren replied, slightly annoyed. He sort of was, but he didn't like to think of it that way, it made him look like a coward. "I'm actually trying to find something." He didn't tell what, and hoped Sue wouldn't ask. Though she probably would, she was a nosy and very stubborn.

"Yeah of course not.. So where do you stay? Not your manor, surely?" he asked, rather curious. Her house was probably under control of the ministry, it was headquarters of the Death Eaters after all. Again, he felt rather sorry for Sue. Whatever had happened to him, at least he had always had his house to go to.

IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A REVOLUTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The street was fully empty now excluding the only two people, Sue and Darren.
Darren had taken his hood off. He looked just as same as she had remembered,
just as stubborn. She had no intention to take off her hood, whatsoever. Taking
a risk was what she would not opt for at this time. She didn't want to look like a
wet cat after getting soaked in the rain. The rain seemed to be increasing every
second. Shops were all closing down and the shopkeepers were disapparating.
It was quite weird indeed that she was missing Hogwarts, few days back, she'd
have given anything to leave it. But now sue could even consider it one of the
places she would really like to be in now, at present. She would even attend the
classes for a change.

Sue never usually liked to talk much or make friends back in her school. She
liked to keep to herself except for when she would have the muse she often
threw some insults at students of other houses with no reason at all. As far as
she could remember Darren and she never shared any long fledged conversa-
tion. They always ended up in duels which destroyed whichever venue they w-
ere in. Darren was probably much powerful than her, Sue knew deep in, that
tying everytime was something of her luck. He was senior and probably knew
more magic but Sue'd rather have a swim with the Giant Squib than accept it.

One random thought struck Sue's mind out of nowhere. Darren's girlfriend. She
was one of the reasons of their duels. If he was tracked, wouldn't she be suspe-
cted as well? "Hey, is your Ravenclaw bi -I mean- girlfriend being tracked too?"
she asked trying to hide the anticipation in her voice. She had almost called her
the nickname she used too. But now when her and Darren were on the same
side, dueling wasn't really a good idea. And it would also attract attention, which
Sue least wanted. Changing her mind half-way she said, "Never mind. I don't
stay at the Manor. I stay - why do you want to know? What are you searching
for anyways?"
though he and her might be on the same side, for Sue it was hard
to believe that Darren might be trustworthy. For her at least. Sue had least int-
erest in what Darren was searching for. She had left Death Eaters. It was none
of her business. But Sue liked interfering, when Darren did the same. Except
she didn't like to spread rumours or lies, unlike Darren did. Getting on the wr-
ong side of Darren would be a foolish move right now, they both had the same
enemy. There was no use fighting among themselves, when dementors might
awaiting them.

UNlike Sue, Darren didn't mind the weather, he was enjoying it actually. He liked rain. Brushing his dark wet hair from his eyes, Darren looked around. The streets were empty now, which was good. One the other hand though, there wouldn't be any ministry wizards roaming around now. Darren was really bored now, and was almost wishing a ministry wizard would see and recognize him. He was pretty sure after all that they wouldn't stand a chance against him. Looking at his watch, Darren sighed. Most of his friends from last year would probably be at Hogwarts now. Or they would be like Dae, working in the ministry. For some reason, Darren had always known that he would probably end up like this after Hogwarts, so he didn't get why he was so bitter about it now.

Hearing Sue, Darren rolled his eyes as he knew what she was about to say. Surprisingly, he didn't really care. He wasn't even sad at the mention of her. Not anymore, before this was the main reason they had dueled. "I don't know where she is. I don't even care really," he said, shrugging. He just knew she wasn't at Hogwarts. This wasn't anything new, she had always been constantly leaving. He had always missed her then, not now. He was pretty sure why Sue wanted to know about Ginevra, Sue hated her even more than she hated him.

"I just want to know," Darren said impatiently. And she called him stubborn. Still he had been pretty sure she wouldn't tell him, that was Sue, always asking questions and never answering his. Oh well, it didn't really matter where she was staying as he didn't care. He was just slightly interested. "Well.." he said, thinking if he should tell her or not. He was pretty sure she wasn't a death eater anymore. She hadn't really ever been a faithful one. But then again, she never told him anything. Well, whatever. "I'm looking for The Dark Lords last horcrux," Darren said quietly. It didn't seem like there was anyone there, but he couldn't really be sure. "Its obvious he isn't dead, he CAN't die. As long as he has that."

IT'S THE BEGINNING OF A REVOLUTION
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure, the weather was foul. But Sue liked thunder storm. And the sky looked
like any second it would be thundering. It had grown so dark, at 2'o' clock in
the afternoon it looked like night was falling too soon. She could hear nothing
now except the slow grumbling of the clouds, the rain splattering on the pav-
ements and rooftops of the shops and Darren talking. She was starting to feel
a little cold. She had no idea that it would rain went she had went outside. No
matter how she was fully cloaked it was quite light. And it was all drenched in
the water.

Ginevra had left Hogwarts. Where was she then?Till she was faraway from her
Sue didn't give a damn. She hated her more than Darren. Part of it was sort of
jealousy. However a coward Ginevra might be she had left Death Eaters and till
present managed to stay alive. Whereas Sue who usually prided herself on being
brave had to wait one year to make up the courage so she could leave. As the
years went by Sue found out she hated this girl the most of all. Once it had been
Sue's aim to kill her. Now she found all this conflict between them led to nowhere.
And Ginevra had also vanished as Darren made it show. For one thing she was
really surprised when Darren said he didn't care. "You don't care? Are you kidding
me? We destroyed the Hogwarts library last year for her.You tried to kill me 'cause
I had just been present there when that girl had been kidnapped. And now you say
you don't care..."
Sue asked with a tone of disbelief. Her face was full of disbelief
as well, but it was hardly visible from behind the hood.

"I stay in a cupboard sized apartment nearby." Sue said. It was true after all.
She hadn't known that the Dark Lord was going to die and her whole family'd
had to flee. She was in a broke. There was no way she could go to Gringotts
anyways. She had to work to earn. A thing Sue hadn't ever adjusted with be-
fore. It was as if being poor, and being a spoiled brat it was extremely hard
for her. Darren answered. so he had really changed. It took her at least half
an hour to extract anything from him earlier. "Oh well," Sue sighed heavily,
"He can't be dead, I know deep in somewhere. But the fact remains, I really
want him to be. Dead, I mean. So ... best of luck."
She could easily offer him
help. Sue would give up anything to not to see that snake-like face ever again.
But Darren would never accept her help, the ex-Head Death Eater. And Sue
was too proud to accept rejection.

Really, Sue shouldn't be complaining about the weather. Darren was glad it was raining, as he wouldn't be able to come out if it wasn't. The reason for this was that in a sunny day a cloaked person like him would be far more noticeable than in a dark rainy day. Even a stupid ministry wizard would suspect him then.

Ginevra had, once, been Darren's best friend at Hogwarts. For a long time too. Though, during that time she left Hogwarts continuously for lots of days at a time, and he was usually annoyed at that. She always had excuses, Ginevra was really a danger magnet and lots of things happened to her. And everyone around her also became in danger, mainly because she did stupid things. Now however she had left again, and this time Darren doubted she was in danger. This time, he didn't give a damn. That surprised him. But then again, he had always known that he would probably never see most of his friends again after he finished Hogwarts. "That was before," he said dully, remembering that. Sue apparently was surprised too. "I probably won't ever see her again, so what does she matter to me?" he asked. Sighing, he wished she would just let go of the subject, it wasn't really something he wanted to talk about.

Darren knew Sue would answer if he just told her what he was after. She was quite predictable. He was surprised to know that he didn't find the fact of where she lived amusing, he just found it ironic. She had been spoiled before, living in a mansion, and now she lived in a tiny apartment. It was kind of like him, though, unlike him, she deserved it. "Well Sue, just consider it your punishment for killing so many people," he said harshly. Darren was glad that at least Sue knew Voldemort wasn't dead yet, most people thought he was. He knew Sue thought he was going to destroy the horcrux, thereby killing Voldemort. Finally. "Well, I could find it, and kill him," he said thoughtfully, he had been thinking of this a lot. "But why would I? What would it do really?" The ministry would still be after him, and no one would even care that HE, not Ne'os, had killed him, since they thought he was already dead. What he really wanted was to get the ministry away from him, so he could get out of hiding.
