Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

The worst part of making a potions was, without a doubt, finding a ingredients for it. If we add a fact that Eviolette doesn't need those ingredients for potions, on top of all that, along with a fact that she usually leaves the job of buying things to Echo who feels happy like child in patisserie when he's around all the herbs and animals body parts (weirdo), this day just started, and Eviolette Blackburn could already say it's one of bad ones. Not that she was surprised, though, having a good day was a privilege she rarely had lately.

The woman apparated in the middle of Diagon Alley, causing some old lady to surprisingly jump from her way glaring reprovingly at her in the same time, but Eviolette ignored her, raised chin even higher and started to walk with steady yet rapid pace. The sooner she's done with all this the better, that way she could return to her lab before 1PM, and fortunately call it a night around 5PM and spend the rest of the day with her sister if Echo agreed to clean up after them today.

She pulled the door of Slugs and Jigger's Apothecary and inaudibly groaned when the doorbells announced her entrance. Ev hated those bells since she was little from some unknown reason. Scowl on her face was quickly replaced by pleasent smile before she turned around to greet the saleswoman, there's no need to drive saleswoman up the wall with Ev's demeanor when she'll need her, as well as this shop for longer period of time.

"Good morning, miss“, Ev glanced at name tag and smiled politely „Meilleure. I need a few ingredients, could you help me with that, please?“ She pulled a folded piece of paper from her pocket and put it on the desk.

Fire It Up Empty Re: Fire It Up

Vanilla wasn't quite awake when she arrived at Slug and Jiggers with her cup of coffee. She went in and put on her usual smock with her name tag that stated she was the herbologist. One of the sales girls was out sick today so she would have to go back and forth between the front and the back today to help customers. So far she wasn't thrilled because she barely got any sleep last night and she was nearly out of everything in the store. She drank her coffee and started making the things they were nearly out of just to get started.

She had just finished at noon when someone had come in about a complaint about someone then realized they were in the wrong shop. They had quickly apologized and practically ran out the door. On their way out they knocked over a whole rack of dried herbs. She hung her head as she picked up the rack hoping it wasn't broken before putting the herbs back where they went. Today just wasn't her day and she couldn't wait until she could go home and sleep. It was one o'clock when she finally finished cleaning up the mess the man made, she didn't realized how many herbs were on that thing until she had to put them all back up there.

She heard the door open and looked over when someone entered the store. "Welcome to Slug and Jiggers." She said as she put the last herb on the shelf with a sigh of relief. She turned when the woman approached her about finding herbs she needed. She picked up the paper and read the herbs, "Oh yes I have all of them out here except one. I can just run to the back to get it though." She said with a smile as she collected all the herbs then went to the back to grab the last one.

She came back out to the front checking she had everything on the list.

Fire It Up Empty Re: Fire It Up

"Please, I'd be grateful.“ Eviolette replied politely looking at the saleswoman. Herbologist, interesting. At Eviolette opinion potionsmakers always had much more fun then herbologists, and their jobs were quite similar, but she was probably only being biased being a potionsmaker herself. After all, being herbologist was far more safer than being potionsmaker, if she was one she surely wouldn't end up with powerful psychoactive drug while trying to make a potion that would neutralize the charm Veela's had over humans in their true form, and wouldn't be forced to continue making the same drug and to leave her family to keep them safe from her world. After second tought, being herbologist really had it perks, too bad she's too old for career change.

When the woman left, she turned around and walked to the nearest shelf, reading the nameplates on each vial with herbs, she took several of them and examined them some more before returning them to the shelf, she had many of those in her lab, but it was good to know they had more of it here, so she can simply buy it when her supplies run short. Her eyes stopped on one nametag and she found herself grinning when she took the vial of dark purple powder, obtained by grinding one rare flower that grown only in Khan Tengri mountain, Echo is going to be ecstatic when he found out she find it, yet she'd probably need to show her ID that identifies her as potionsmaker to purchase the vial, though. Many of shop didn't sell it easily because it could be used to knock out a room full of people if someone spread it in the air, and potionsmakers were some of people who were actually allowed to buy it. Probably because some thinks they're too noble to use it against someone. Huh, Eviolette was living evidence that wasn't always true. She walked back to the counter where she found that the woman returned with other ingredients, and put the vial on the counter. "I'll take this, too." She smiled, hoping this wasn't one of the shops that requested identificating because she still had her old name on her ID, and Katrien Faulkner died three years ago so that ID was probably invalid, in truth she didn't know why she didn't get rid of it. Sentimentality, Eviolette guessed.
