Dinner Date

Vanessa had gotten home from the grocery store then went and got Sascha from her mother. She was nervous as she picked through her closet trying to figure out what to wear. She sorted through her closet then sighed as she grabbed out a dress to wear. It was a mint green with white lace around the sleeves, hem on the bottom, and around the neck line. She sighed softly as she walked down the hallway peeking into Sascha's room who was contently playing with her dolls. She walked into the kitchen and put on her apron that would cover her dress completely.

She grabbed the ingredients out of the fridge and began making the beginning part of the baked spaghetti. She was done making it in an hour, it still had to go in the oven but since there was still two hours before he got there she put foil on top then stuck it in the fridge. She took off her apron and put it in the laundry hamper before setting off into the living room to tidy up a bit. She cleaned completely then did the few dishes she used then set the table for when they would sit down to eat. She was so nervous to have him over for dinner that she was cleaning things she had just cleaned. She realized what she was doing and took a deep breath to calm herself, she rung her hands trying to make everything was clean.

Walking down the hall to her daughter's room she opened it and saw her daughter playing still with her dolls.

"Hey sweetheart." She said walking in then saw Sascha's clothes were slightly dirty. "Come on let's get you into something clean. Your clothes got some dirt on them, let's get you into a nice clean one ok?" Sascha nodded as Nessa grabbed out a new outfit for her that was a pretty pink top with a pair of nice jeans. Once she was cleanly dressed she had her daughter go wash her hands and face to get ready for dinner.

Leaving her daughter to do that she looked at the clock and saw it was thirty minutes before he was to arrive. She grabbed the spaghetti out of the fridge and turned on the stove, waiting for it to heat up she fixed up some garlic bread to go with it. Once the oven was heated she placed both in the oven making sure that everything was done she did one more quick sweep of the house to make sure everything was clean.

Victor was more then excited about his dinner date with Vanessa, that was the only thing on his mind all day, he couldn't wait to see her again. Although she was on his mind all week while at work, but for once, he was happy and truthfully cheerful and he wasn't faking. His CO workers and friends noticed that he was happier, they asked him what he was so happy about, he simply told them that Nessa was his girlfriend and he was just happy to have her. It was weird how love changed you, it was either for the good or the bad, but in Vic's case for good for once. He was on cloud nine now, there wasn't anything that could bring him down, he was truly happy and you could see it in his eyes and his smile which showed so many emotions.



Victor apparated in front of Vanessa's steps of her house snuffing nervously, he didn't know why he was nervous, but he was. Victor ran his hands down the front of his shirt straightening the wrinkles that weren't there, he changed his outfits probably five times not liking what he wearing, he finally decided to buy a new shirt not liking what he had. Although he stopped by the flower shop on his wayto Vanessa's house and gotten her favorite flowers before heading her house. Taking a deep breath, he rung the doorbell and waited for her to answer as he hid the flowers behind his back as he waited her to answer the door. As the door opened he looked at her his jaw dropped at the sight of herbefore he ssnapped himself out of it before giving her a soft warm smile. " You look beautiful Nessa. "said Vic kissing her softly on the lips. Vic was wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt with a black and white tie with black dress pants with his black shoes. 

Vic looked at Nessa and smirked. " You going to let me in or are we going to eat outside in the cold? "Vic asked her playfully. Vic looked at little girl who was hiding behind Nessa's leg. Vic looked at her and smiled sweetly at her. " You must be the famous Sascha that I heard about, hi I'm Vic, I mean Victor."said Vic. He knew that she was probably shy, he remembered Nessa telling him that she was shy around people until she gotten to know you, and she was a chatter box. Vic laughed to him, he remembered telling Nessa just like her mother, he just hoped that she liked him. 


Vic's look

Vanessa pulled out the garlic bread out of the oven once it was done and knew that it would be ten more minutes for the spaghetti. She grabbed out a basket and a linen cloth before cutting up the bread and placing it in the basket. Setting the basket on the table she saw Sascha in the living room playing with one of her dolls that had really long hair. She heard the doorbell and quickly smoothed out her dress to make sure there were no wrinkles from where she was constantly bending. She opened the door and was taken by surprise at how more handsome he looked in dress clothes. She blushed softly when he said she looked beautiful, "Thank you. You look handsome." She said kissing him back feeling like giddy.

She grinned, "Oh you didn't know. Shoot I forgot we have to eat outside in the cold." She laughed as she stepped back to allow him in when Sascha came up and hid behind her leg. Sascha looked at him from around her leg trying to get a look at him.

"Hello Victor." Sascha said softly, her arm still clutching her doll she had been playing with. "Are you mommy's boyfriend?" She asked with childish innocence and curiosity. She looks up at her mom then leans in and stage whispers, "Mommy talks about me to you?"

Nessa put a hand on her mouth to keep from laughing at her daughter's 'stage whisper' because she couldn't help herself. Sascha's version of 'stage whispering' was about two steps down from actually talking since she wasn't into the actual whispering yet. "Come on in Victor. Dinner will be done in a few minutes." She said as she and Sascha moved out of the way to let him pass.

Vic looked at her and smirked at her blushing as he told her that she looked beautiful, and yet she only made him blush once since they met each other again. " Why thank you Nessa, I do try!"said Vic playfully before kissing her cheek. Remembering that he had her flowers behind his back in one hand he took them from behind his back and handed them to her. " These are for you Sweetheart." handing her a favorite flowers. " I remembered after not seeing you for awhile what your favorite flower was, I haven't forgotten about that!"said Vic kissing her softly on the lips.   


" Well..good thing I have my black leather jacket with me, I might be freezing by the time dinner is over! "said Vic playfully. Vic walked through the front door as he heard her closing the door behind them. " Wow smells delicious in here Nessa, and beautiful home you have by the way, very warm and welcoming."said Vic smiling at her.  


  Vic looked down at Sascha and gave her a soft warm smile. " Hello there Sascha, you're as cute and as beautiful as your mother is."said Vic looking at Nessa before winking at her. Vic laughed and nodded. " Yes I'm your mommy's boyfriend, I hope to be more then that as the time goes, but I'm going to take things slow with your mommy."said Vic. Vic kneeled down to her height and nodded. "Yes she does, she talks about you to me quite often, she tells me that you like helping people just like me. " said Vic. 


Vic looked up at Nessa and smiled at her before looking down at Sascha, he tried not to laugh but herddid smile at the 'stage whisper.' He thought it was too cute and adorable, he just met Sascha and here she was wrapping him around her little finger. Vic looked up at Nessa and then Sascha and nodded before he stood up. ” I can't wait to eat, it looks and smells delicious Nessa."said Vic smiling at her.

She saw his smirk and shook her head knowing what he was thinking. "Such a dork." She said teasingly with a smile. When he pulled flowers from behind his back she smiled more because they were her favorite, stargazer lilies. They were orange color with yellow towards the center and they were beautiful, she smiled at him as she took the flowers. She inhaled their sweet scent, "Thank you." She said then kissed him on the lips. "Well I'm happy that you remembered what it was." She said kissing him back.

"Oh you have to keep that in here." She teased with a big grin. "Thanks, I also have dessert for later as well. It's small but I've tried my hardest to make it feel welcoming to anyone who comes over." She said smiling back at him. Sascha was sneaking peeks at him still from behind her legs.

Sascha hid her face in Nessa's leg playing shy when he said that she was cute and beautiful. "Thank you." She mumbled from behind her mother's leg. She slowly turned her head back towards Victor when he said he was her mom's boyfriend. Her head tilted slightly to the side when he said he wanted to be more. "What do you mean? You want mommy to marry you?" She asked with curiosity befitting a child as young as her. When he got down to her height she ventured out a little more to look at him. "Yes, it makes them feel better when you makes them smile." She said honestly.

Nessa looked at the interaction between him and Sascha, it made her heart melt just watching them interact with each other. She could tell that Vic was already was mesmerized by her daughter and that they would get along really well. "It will only be a few more minutes before food is done, I'm gonna go put these in some water." She said taking the flowers into the kitchen while Sascha stayed behind to stay with Victor.

"Do you wanna meet Chocolate and Oreo?" Sascha asked him referring to her puppies that were sleeping in their basket. "They're really soft and fun to play with."

Vic looked at her and gave her a innocent look. "Why are you call me a dork, I'm not doing anything wrong! "said Vic smirking at her. Vic smiled. " Of course Nessa, you deserve to get nice things, and I'm the one who will get them for you. "said Vic kkissing her back. Vic laughed. "After all these years, you honestly thought that I forgot that your favorite flowers are stargazer lilies?"Vic asked her smirking at her. " Although I feel bad that I forgot your favorite color though, I'm guessing purple but I could be wrong. "said Vic. Vic's favorite colors were blue and red, he loved those colors and looked good in them as well.


Vic rolled his eyes at her playfully. "Well...guess it's a good thing that I'm always warm, my mum always called me a hima human heater! "said Vic chuckling. " I can't wait to eat then, I'm sure it'll be wonderful. "said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. " Well...you done a good job, better then my house, but I'm a guy so I suck at decorating. " said Vic. Vic noticed Sascha hiding behind Nessa's legs and chuckled, not in a mean way but in a cute and playful way, he thought it was cute. 


Vic smiled down at her. " You're very welcome Sascha, don't you ever forget that I told you that, you're be beautiful just like your mommy is here just wait and see. "said Vic winking at her. Vic looked at Sascha and nodded. " Yes I would like to marry your mommy someday, I love her very much, and I will take care of you and her if that's ok with you. " said Vic smiling at her. Vic couldn't help but not to smile at her comment, she really was adorable, and Vic couldn't help but love her. " Indeed a smile can brighten anyone day, and a smile like yours I bet can brighten thousands of people! "said Vic. 


Vic always had a thing with kids, he didn't know what it was, but he connected so well with kids more then anyone. Maybe it was his playful adventurous ways, but Vic always been a kid at heart, and always will be. Vic looked up at Nessa and nodded. " Of course Nessa, we'll be in here. "said Vic giving her a soft warm.  


" Sure I'll love to meet Chocolate and Oreo. " said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. " Did you name them yourself? If you did, those are amazing names!"said Vic.

She laughed softly at his look he gave her, "You know why." She said shaking her head smiling. "Don't get me too many otherwise you'll spoil me." She said with a smile. "Most people forget what kind of flower someone likes. I didn't think you would remember because most people confuse them with regular lilies." She smiled seeing his smirk knowing he basically saying 'Ha I didn't forget.' She smiled at him, "I like any color that they come in. These are beautiful thank you Victor." She said with a big grin.

She laughed and said, "Well I guess we can stay in and eat. Well I'll remember that when I'm freezing." She said with a grin. "Well I hope so cause it's been a while since I've made it." She said softly. "Thank you, Sascha helped me decorate everything. So it's a mixture between the two of us but it doesn't clash which is good. Well most guys aren't the best decorators." She said laughing softly.

"It will take forever to get as pretty as mommy. I'm still really little." She said showing the differences in height between her and Nessa. She smiled when Victor said that he wanted to marry her mother. "Well that good," She leaned in and really whispered this time. "She gets sad sometimes because my daddy left. Then she'll find a picture of her and this one boy who was holding a broomstick. She smiles at that one, she said that it was her best friend in school but I don't remember his name." She leaned back after that looking up and Nessa who gave her a funny look. Sascha simply smiled at her and then turned her attention back to Victor. "Yeah mommy says that a smile can help bring happiness." She said then giggled. "Memaw says that to me a lot. She says that if it were a dark room that I could light it up with just one smile."

"Okay," Nessa said giving him a smile back.

"Their over here." She said with a big smile as she lead the way. She lead him into the living room to the corner where a wicker brown basket sat. The basket had a very fluffy pillow inside it and it held two sleeping puppies. One was a deep brown and the other was white with black spots. "Mommy says this one is a lab and that one is a dalamination. Wait no that's not right," She said then walked over to a shelf and pulled a book down then walked back over. She showed him the cover it was a book on Dalmatians and how to care for them. "I don't know how to say it. Chocolate is easy but Oreo not so much." She said talking about the breed they were.

Vic laughed. " Actually I don't know why, care to remind me why I'm such a dork? "Vic asked her smirking at her before winking at her. " What's wrong with that, I can't spoil the girl I love? That's a crime and sin! "said Vic. Vic smiled. " Well...after all these years, I still remember what kind of flowers you like, but then again I never forgot. " said Vic. Of course his smirk meant that, after all these years, he still knew almost everything about her. " I'm glad that you like them, but as I said before, you're going to get a lot more from me so better get used to it. " said Vic. 

Vic laughed. " Whew thank goodness, I was beginning to think that you had rude manners making your guest eat outside! "said Vic playfully before smirking at her. " I'm sure it'll be wonderful Nessa, stop doubting yourself. "said Vic kissing the top of her head. " I like it, it's unique and different, but you always been that way. " said Vic. Vic laughed. " True were not, my sister helped me dssign my house, which I'm thankful for. "said Vic. 


Vic smiled. " Don't worry, you'll be there before you know it, and you little? I don't believe it for a second! "said Vic winking at her. " Mommy told me about him, but don't worry I won't leave you or mommy."said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. "Holding a broomstick? "Vic asked her as he remembered that picture. It was a picture of him and Nessa taken in their seventh year right before his Quidditch match Slytherin verses Gryffindor, if that was the same picture she was talking about, then it was him in the picture. "Was his name Victor by any chance? "Vic asked her in a whisper but loud enough for her to hear. " Well...mommy is right, and a smile like yours is likely to bring happiness to alot of people! "said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. " Well memaw isn't wrong, but then again, your mother has a beautiful smile as well."said Vic. 


Vic at the lab and dalmatian and smiled, they were too cute, and he couldn't help but love them and their cuteness. Vic thought it was cute how she said dalmatian, and thought it was adorable that she couldn't say it, but she was very close to saying such a hard word. "Indeed she's right, but we'll help you in every way that we can. "said Vic. " I gotten a dog as well, a timber wolf/husky mix named Max, he's a beautiful dog. "said Vic.

She shook her head laughing knowing he was just being himself. "Well as long as I get to give you things as well I guess it wouldn't be too bad." She said smirking at him. "Well aren't you cocky. Guess I'm gonna have to see how much you really remember." She said with a grin, though nothing had changed. She still liked sunrises, spring, reading books (though it was more romances now a days), and tea at night. She shook her head at his last comment and kissed his cheek softly. "We'll see." She said with a grin.

"Oh no I reserve that for the naughty guests who are cheeky with me." She said with a wink and a grin. "I'm not doubting myself I'm simply telling you it's been a while since I've made it." She said smiling when he kissed the top of her head. "Thanks Victor. I try to do things that are only unique and in beautiful colors. The bathroom though is kind of odd." She said with a embarrassed smile. "Maybe you can show it to me sometime." She said with a smile.

Sascha giggled at his words and smiled big. "I'll have to wait until I'm taller though." She said though she was two inches from reaching her mothers hip. "Promise?" She asked looking at him with her head tilted to the side. "Yes he was holding a broomstick." She said then ran and got the picture off a side table to show him. She pointed to the boy holding the broom, "This is him. This is mommy." She said then pointed to Nessa in the photo. The photo was of them waving to the camera and Victor giving Nessa bunny ears. "That's my favorite part, when he gives mommy bunny ears." She said giggling. She made a face as she tried to remember then looked at her mom for support on it. Seeing Nessa nod to Victor's question, she turned and faced him again. "Yes, wait that's your name! You knew mommy in school?" She said her eyes wide and a huge smile on her face. She smiled more at his next words and giggled. "Yeah me and mommy would light up a house with just a smile." She said giggling more.

"Will I get to meet him one day? I love doggies." She said looking at him with a small smile.

Vic laughed. " Don't worry Nessa love, I'm sure I'll get my share of gifts from you, so don't you worry. "said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. Vic looked at her shock and mock hurt. " Why Nessa since when haven't I been that way? " Vic asked her smirking. "Oh man a test, I need to brush up on my studies so I'll be prepared for it. " said Vic playfully and jokingly. " We should test each other and see how much we still know about each other. "said Vic. He still loved rainy days, going on adventures and reading books ( mainly sci-fi and murder mystery books, still the same books he read when he was young. ) as well as flying. " Yes we'll see, but you're going to be spoiled by me, so you better get used to it. " said Vic kissing her softly on the lips. 


" Oh jeez Nessa love, you made a place specifically for me, I feel so honored and loved Nessa! "said Vicssmirking at her. " I'm sure it'll be wonderful Nessa, I haven't have your cooking since the Christmas cookies you helped your mom make in our seventh year. "said Vic honestly. Vic smiled. " I like unique and weird, normal and plain is to boring for my taste. " said Vic giving her a soft warm smile. " You know me, I'm unique and weird, so being different and unique is what I'm best at! ""said Vic winking at her. " Sure that'll be nice, I got a big house so I get lonely in it alot but I brought it incase I get married and have a big family. " said Vic honestly before blushing. Nessa would think that she finally got him to blush again, but he made himself blush. 

Vic smiled. " Well...you have your mommy looks, so you're going to be beautiful just like your mommy is before you know it! "said Vic giving her a soft warm smile as he winked at her. " I promise, I love your mommy too much to leave her."said Vic looking up at Nessa giving her a soft warm smile. Vic looked down at the picture of him and Nessa and smiled, it was his favorite picture of them as well, he had it himself on his nightstand at his house. Vic laughedalong with her. " Yeah that's my favorite part as well, really makes the picture I think, although your mommy probably doesn't think so."said Vic. Vic nodded and smiled. " Yes that's me, and I knew your mommy very well in school, we were best friends despite being in different houses, we did everything together. " said Vic smiling at her. " Indeed you and mommy would, I would have to bring my sunglasses along every time I go somewhere with you two, cause you two smiles are so bright! "said Vic playfully and jokingly.  

Vic nodded and smiled. " Sure you can meet him someday, I tell you what, I'll bring him to the parkand yyou can meet him tomorrow if it's ok with your mommy. " said Vic smiling at her.
