Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Department of International Wizarding Communications

The Department of International Wizarding Communications is a relatively new department to the Ministry of Magic. It is behind the recent re-nationalisation of The Daily Prophet and the launch of the Divine Wizarding Network. It is now in charge of all broadcasting in the Wizarding United Kingdom.

The Daily Prophet

The most widely read newspaper in Magical Britain, the Daily Prophet is an important news-giver for the ordinary witch and wizard on the street. Recently, the Prophet has been re-nationalised by the Ministry, with the promise that less lies - such as those during the tenure of Rita Skeeter - will be printed.

Divine Nation Wizarding Network

Both the television studio and radio station fall under the umbrella of the Divine Nation Wizarding Network. Rapidly becoming the most popular (albeit only official) source of entertainment in the Wizarding World, the Divine Nation Wizarding Network now boasts over two million listeners in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The Department for Magical Games and Sports

The independence of this department has been reduced in recent years and, in July, 2028, merged fully with the Department of International Wizarding Communications. The department still oversees all of the sports in the British Wizarding World but its broadcasting rights have been signed over to the DWN. It remains the place for all of your Quidditch queries, though!
