A new bad guy? Yes please.

But in all seriousness, he has a bit of blood on his hands, and appears pretty emotionless. That couldn't be further from the truth, though, considering he might be the king of holding grudges and wanting revenge. Though, I suppose that's up for debate. ANYWAY! Amy and I have concluded that he has a rather intimidating stare, because he seems blank, but it's clear that the wheels are always turning in his head. He's probably pretty skilled at freaking out younger students, and he is pretty irritable.

Free heads up: I'm going for CampNaNoWriMo, so I'm limiting my posts per day, but I'd like to get a couple things started with him to keep my muse high until school starts and Hogwarts plots can get goin'.

Stuff I'm looking for:
-A baddie for him to argue with and generally just hate. Preferably with some sort of backstory as to why they can't stand each other.
-A student or two who are maybe interested in him enough to bug him? A young one who doesn't understand that he's a bum, or an older one who wants to "fix" him or something. I dunno. Folks to bother him, mostly. lol.
-Maybe a grad or two who decide they need to keep an eye on him, or a DE who thinks he'll be useful in the future or anything like that.

[So, basically, I'm up for whatever with him. XD]

Addie, I literally was just about to PM you after seeing Graham and reading his application! 

Graham and Bertie will share a dormitory at Hogwarts so they'll at least be acquaintences. I don't know what we could do with them, Bertie has, up to now, tended to keep himself to himself with regards to his dormitory mates and been civil with them (at least in my head). He isn't the type to bug anyone really but he has a growing confidence so who knows? 

I'm not sure where I was going with all of that but I think they should thread or plot in some way or another. Even if it's Bertie discovering a secret about Graham and then seeing how he deals with it or something? Maybe he wants to look out for Graham?

Haha, I'm glad you like him! Graham definitely has several secrets I kept out of his app, for the sake of keeping it interesting.

A lot of Graham's issues come from that internalization thing where he sort of takes on the grievances of others and dislikes people he perhaps shouldn't. I believe that Jackles and I want to have a sort of rivalry between Ducky and Graham, so it could be that Bertie gets caught in the middle until we figure out what their dynamic is?

That's a good idea. Bertie and Ducky have met before at a party in the greenhouses so I guess they are still be on at least talking terms, which could rub Graham the wrong way? 

I guess it could be interesting not knowing what the dynamic will be rather and going with the flow than having an end game too.

Jenna would so want to fix him, but suck at it because her personality doesn't lend itself toward that.

Maybe they can start off studying together?  Or he can try to manipulate her? She's part of PA and her parents were part of DA (actually, it could be interesting if he assumed Michael & Terry were part of the Order, because they have some moral opposition to the Order... if you wanted to go there)

Ariane would bug him because she bugs everyone.  If he's obviously a bad sort, she'll try to seduce him.  Because she's totally seductive.

@RJ - Usually that makes it harder for me, but since I'm just starting to figure him out, that could actually be a ton of fun. I'll ask Jack if she wants to start anything while she has time off.

I think I may have misunderstood, so can you clarify? Michael and Terry have a issue with the Order? Or you mean Graham would be wary because he does?

I'm open to pretty much anything for him, so you're welcome to throw Ariane at him as well. If you want to do a thread with them before school starts, that works. Jenna would wait until term, though, if they're studying together, right? Or we could say they've studied together if you want a reason to use her now.

I mean Mike & Terry fought with Dumbledore's Army, so I guess someone who's only heard their names (or only knew Jenna) might assume they're right in the thick of it. But neither of them were ever part of the Order and they'd probably say it was long past its use-by date.

I'm just saying if you were interested, I think Graham being under that misapprehension would be interesting for Jenna's character development. But if it's not what you want to do that's cool as well.

No, yeah, for sure. I just didn't know who you meant when you said "because they have some moral opposition to the Order." It could definitely be interesting.
