What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Fancy a snack or two? Empty Fancy a snack or two?

The benefits of having the kitchen be in the exact same floor as your common room was exactly this. The elf’s got to know you and if they formed a good opinion of you, they'd give you all the food you ask for, whatever time of the day as long as you weren't mean to them. Sebber was used to bossing elves around, at least at home, so it was strange not being able to do so, but he was a cunning boy, and he knew when he had to be smart and polite and when he didn't. Ever since he approached the elves he's been treating them good, appearing occasionally just to say hi or tell a joke or two. After all, they make the best pudding, and he loved grabbing a plate or two all for himself.

Sebby was just out on one of those nighty strolls of his, around 9pm or so, he had completely lost track of time. He felt the dining room was too crowded and after leaving dinner, he decided to go grab a couple of snacks for dessert so that he could enjoy them peacefully outside in the warmth of the night sky, watching the stars and moon shine brighter then the day before. The elves had been quite nice today, giving him a new chocolate snack they had made and were saving up for the day after as a surprise for students. It had some kind of cookie recipe in between or whatever. It didn't matter much for Sebby. It was portable, not messy and it tasted hella good. They were really skillful at their job indeed.

Seb couldn't help notice, going past every mirror he found, that he was looking quite handsome and apart. He had a grey T-shirt under his brown warm jacket and his oxford shoes tied perfectly with his jeans fitting into them like if they were made for it. He was spotless, for no reason though, since he'd be taking a little stroll outside and then just going back to the common room to get a good night sleep and rest up for tomorrow, he had plans after all. He couldn't help but notice a Hufflepuff girl travelling alone in the same corridor as him, coming in the opposite direction, big smile, big eyes, an extremely cheerful and happy aura getting off from her, sending off positive vibes everywhere. He knew her, Wendy he thought her name was, though he wasn't really sure.

Wendy always started to get excited around this time of year for the coming of summer. Summer meant time in her favorite place, which was her special little attic room in her family home, with her favorite people, who all happened to share her genes. Wendy loved school, of course, because it was full of interesting people, interesting subjects, and adventures to be had. But studying took its toll on the girl, as she had never been great at intense focusing. And while magical studies were interesting, she preferred having options. She liked being able to choose topics for herself to study - some of her favorites had been embroidery, medieval industry, and shepherding - and summer always provided her the best opportunity for her to do so.

She and the house elves were good friends. She typically stopped in once a week because she had this horrible fear of her siblings starving. They were far from it, of course, but Wendy felt like she had to do her part, any small way she could. And only Pippa seemed to complain about having little pastries and cakes they could save for later. Her personality seemed to mesh really well with the sweet-natured elves, and they always had a pleasant talk while the house elves prepared her little basket of goodies. Tisky and MuMu had become almost friends to Wendy, and always asked after her affairs. It was nice.

Wendy was out, not for the appetites of her siblings, but for her own late night craving. She was still wearing her outfit from her day of frolicking - it had been a Hogsmeade weekend - when she had decided to slip out of the Hufflepuff common room. She had a hankering to go sit out by the Great Lake, since her time with the Giant Squid had been interrupted last she tried to spend time with the creature. She walked with little concern - she had a good reputation with the prefects, after all. She glanced up and spotted Sebber Rosier approaching. She smiled and waved a bit, before noticing he had collected snacks from the kitchens as well. "Oooh, looks tasty! What is it?"

He recognized that voice. Looking up at who spoke with him matched that angelic, honey-like voice with an even more incredible smile. It was Wendy. He wasn't exactly friends with her, but he saw her with Simon sometimes, a fellow slytherin and friend of his. He had no idea if they were dating or were related or whatever, he didn't really asked those type of things, specially since he wasn't exactly close to him or even knew Wendy. He just knew her name, just that pretty much.

She made quite the party when she saw him though, so he guessed she was a friendly girl, one of those persons who just treat you like you knew them for years and years. Sebby loved these persons, specially if they pretty girls whom he could talk with. She took notice of the little chocolates and snacks he had with him, and he laughed a bit. Perhaps she even smelled them, hell, they smelled so good he just wanted to take a huge bite out of one of them and savour them slowly.

It was Seb's turn to wave in a friendly, comforting way , and so he did, indicating her to come and talk with him. He had a big smile across his face, he was just feeling overall good since it had been a peaceful, calm day under hot sun and he had this little gift from the elves at night, could it have become any better? He didn't think so since he had forgotten the fact that if he had a girl's company to savour them would make the moment even better, and when it came upon him, it was a great motive to smile about.

"Hey! I have no idea, elves gave me a couple of the usual snacks but they gave me these new chocolates with different cookie fillings in them and different flavours across them. I don't know if they are good or not, but they surely do taste like it. If you're interested .."

She approached him, inspecting the chocolates with pleasant curiosity, humming a happy tune to herself. Wendy had always been a very inquisitive person, and it had gotten her into trouble more than once in her life. She and Simon had suffered many times from having stepped out of their bounds, but she would not have traded any of their investigations into the nature of the world for anything. She was so easily bored with studying and mundane day-to-day living, that if she wasn't just letting herself feel her way through life, she would almost certainly die of extreme boredom.

Chocolates had always been a wonderful alternative to death by boredom.

As he described them, it suddenly struck Wendy that perhaps Sebber had an insight into Simon's moodiness of late. Of course, Simon had always been a bit... darker, than she was, but it had never really kept him from playing the part of brother, best friend, and partner in crime. Lately, he had been more and more reserved, leaving her to feel like she was losing the one person in her life she had always counted on.

"Of course, I'm interested! Never say no to free candy, I've always said. Course, Mum and Dad say always say no to free candy, but they don't have chocolate, now do they!" She smiled, holding out a hand to receive the chocolate. "How are you, then? Looking forward to the end of the year?"

She had to keep him around.
