Shopping was a must, especially if one ended up being on a Diagon Alley where different stores and markets awaited and called for her. Amber, therefore, was one of those lucky girls who managed to go there while during summer and get some items she needed.
Obviously, a girl who liked fashion, she gathered some of the clothing as well, but her aim was to go and gather at least a bit of the herbs necessary for her small experiment at home. Her dreams were still divided by two: become an auror or a healer, which one was more suitable for her, which one would benefit her more in the future and how would she live with her decision?

It was dark by the time she had finished her duties at the different stores. She exited the last one, hands full of different bags that were almost full. Surprisingly enough, none of them were heavy and carrying them around was an easy thing to do.

She did not want to return home yet. Brothers were there, yes, but she still had some time before dinner. Two hours to be more precise, and as she had nothing important or interesting to do in her room, Amber decided to wander aimlessly on the streets, observe and examine the buildings with a look she has never done before, this time trying to go into history. Some men and women were walking by her, and out of curiosity, she began wondering which one of them would end up being a serial killer of sorts. If any of them would, in fact, go that far. All of them looked odd, but none resembled to someone who would harm another just for the fun itself.

A sudden meow not so far away from her made Amber stop and turn around. A cat! She loved animals. A stray feline was on the other side of the street, looking at the stocks presented on the window. Some meat slices. With her heart melting, Amber immediately entered the shop and bought some before exiting once again. The stray was afraid of her first, but when she presented slices of warm meat, the cat soon enough dared to come closer. Girl dropped her bags carefully and began feeding her new friend.

Darkness, for most people it was the time to sleep and the time to lock ones doors and tell their children fairy tales that would make them behave like good little boys and girls. For Ne'Os it was his life. And for the girl he had set his eyes on it was a reminder that the things that went bump in the night really existed.

Of course for Ne'Os this was a nightly activity. To him this was just dinner. Another mindless event in his long day of plotting and planning. However a well fed vampire was a strong vampire. And these days any advantage over another was necessary for survival. He watched the girl wander into a store with meats hanging in the window. No doubt it was for the cat he saw her spot. As he expected he watched her exit the store shortly after she entered and started to feed the cat.

By this time he had moved to a spot in the shadows of a shopfront in front of her. He wondered if she noticed him as he stepped out into the dim light of the walkway. "It seems awfully late for one so young to be out on the streets alone," he said in a warmer voice. He hoped he was conveying the warmth that a grandfather might have for his grandchild. He also hoped his corpse pale skin and gaunt features didn't give away his true species.

After a while the stray cat was brave enough to come closer and Amber was brave enough to reach out her hand and touch the poor animal. Although the being was quite paranoid, obviously humans did not treat it well, it soon started purring when Amber began scratching the feline creature behind its ears. Surprisingly, regardless of the animal looking ragged and old, it's fur was soft and warm. Maybe, if she will get the trust of the animal, she will be able to lure it into following her? She had a dog once and her parents had no objections when it came to adopting other animals which was strange because for some reason none of her brothers ever brought anyone home. Well, she would be the first one to do so then.

Even if she heard something, Amber did not pay attention to it. Her eyes were glued on the cat who swallowed the slices of meat hungrily and ate them as if the girl was about to take them away any moment now.
Ignorance is fatal, however, and she did not notice how the time flew and how dark it was now. Only when she heard a man approaching and speaking to her did she look up and express her surprise in a low sigh. It was really dark now, and quiet as well. It seemed that there was no one besides the cat, her and the strange pale man there.

His skin was the first thing that attracted her attention. It was pale. Very pale. Amber herself had a white skin and she had seen many men and women who looked just the same as she, but none of them possessed the powerful tone of white, almost gray complexion as did the stranger. The aura that came from him was odd as well; reminded her something odd and dangerous, but she could not completely put a finger on it.
Regardless of him looking out of place, his voice sounded rather soothing. Cat, however, did not pay attention to him. It had better things to attend to – meat.

“It can't be that late,” she muttered, surprised of his words. Reaching out her hand, she gasped loudly. As a matter of fact, it was! It was nine o'clock and dinner would be served soon!

Ne'Os fought the urge to roll his eyes at the girl. He wondered what they taught at hogwarts these days. Clearly the defense against the dark arts teacher was lacking. Any proper student would have recognized him as a vampire. However that would have proven difficult for him. At Least now he had a chance to lure her into his trap.

"That cat seems very happy with its food, that was very nice of you to feed it," he said with the same warm voice. "But as I said its very late out...Where is your family? Surely you aren't out her by yourself. Especially with that pack of werewolves running around." he said hoping to further distract her from thinking about what Ne'Os was or even worse who he was.

In his sleeve was his wand. He was prepared to use it. He hated the way feral vampires hunted with the chasing and ripping of arteries. His way was much smarter. He would usually stun his prey, take them to a safe place to feed and then when he finished with them he would dispose of the body a few dozen kilometers from the crime scene. The method had never failed him.

Amber stood up and now got a proper view of the man in front of her. The paleness was too distracting to simply look away. In a way it was beautiful. The skin so white was an amazing thing, but then again she began slowly figuring out what he was.
She had sensed that aura before and she had read about it several times during her childhood. Slowly she began gathering her bags, wondering if he was aware of her suspicions now. Probably not, her heartbeat was just the same as ever, her blood was flowing slowly and her actions never reflected her real thoughts. Would she be scared, her hands would be shaking.

“Home,” the Ravenclaw student responded, offering him a sweet smile. Now, with her hands full with the bags, she did not feel safer. In fact that only limited her movement, but she did not dare to put them down again. Would she even manage to escape a vampire if she would try to run? No, doubtful. From what she heard, they were faster and stronger than humans and Amber, by all means, was not strong. His words certainly distracted her. “Werewolves?” Amber repeated, looking around as if checking that there would be no creatures around. Then she looked at the sky. It was dark and the moon was not even full. “I think it's too early for them to run around just yet.”

A brave proclamation indeed. If anything, he was correct. She should be more careful, especially now that she was exposed in such a manner.
The cat had finished eating and left the scene, clearly not wishing to be near a vampire. Amber was surprised how calmly it reacted; was it too used to the sinister beings on the Alley? Most likely. Different creatures did their daily shopping here.

Amber tilted her head, her dark hair falling to the left side. “You are right, however. I should be heading home.”

Ne'Os chuckled softly as she said that the moon wasn't right for werewolves. She was of course right. But sadly for her vampires did not rely on lunar cycles for their power. They only had to fear the sun, but that was now long gone. With a slight flourish of his wrist his wand was in his hand.

"Cruor Atrum," he said quietly with a small wave of his wand at the ground. He felt the spell reach its boundary about 15 meters away. It was not meant to keep her in but to keep people out. He didn't want to be interrupted...at least not by those who possessed the dark mark.

"I think there will be no harm in introducing myself. My name is Ne'Os Emof former right hand to Lord Voldemort. The same one who killed him. I wonder if they told you about me at your school." He said his voice now very cold. His eyes black as night. A toothy smile spread across his face his fangs showing.

"I wonder. Do you know what I am yet?" He asked mockingly.

The change in the air was so clear she could taste it on her tongue. Amber backed away a few steps as she furrowed her eyebrows. She did not have a wand with her, it was safely at home, in her room for she could not really use magic just yet while being outside of school and now she sincerely regretted the decision of not taking it with her. Maybe she could bluff?
Amber pressed her lips together into a thin, red line. Now what? She was indeed in a deep shit now. Running was an option, but how far would she make it to? Certainly not further than ten meters if he would chase after her. Or, like a cat with its prey, he would let her run and he would scare and frighten her until Amber would collapse on the street. Then he would kill her.

She pressed her fingers together, forming a small fist. If he would try to harm her, she would retaliate. Acting to her own defense. And certainly some herbs could cause an allergic reaction to the vampire, but thinking of them, she realized she had no garlic or holy water or anything that would frighten him or let her escape. Amber cursed under her breath. Now she was in a pinch.

“Charming,” she retorted quietly, backing further away. His voice only confirmed her fears. Her eyes widened as she heard his name. Of course, she has even read about him! Of all the creatures, she had to meet up with a vampire slayer. “I know perfectly well what and who you are.”

Ne'O's smile widened as she backed away. She had spirit. He knew that people would be nearby so he would need to force her into the dark and abandoned alleyways. He apparated behind her. He wanted to play a game of cat and mouse.

Afterall it was the fear hormones that he felt tasted the best. "Lets play a game. I will chase you. If you escape I will vow to never hunt you every again. If I catch you...Perhaps I may not kill you...," He said chuckling slightly.

He pointed his wand into the air "attonbitus" A bright flash of lightning shot up into the air causing a loud crack. His aim was to scare her. His vampiric instincts screamed for a hunt.

When he disappeared from sight Amber knew a surprise would be coming. And it came soon enough, though with her heart beating and blood flowing loudly in her ears, she could not even hear how he appeared behind her. She dropped her bags and screamed out of surprise and fear when he spoke to her again, this time addressing her from behind. She turned around on her heels and lifted her hands, ready to parry a hit if he would attack her. Instead he revealed his plan. “I will not be part of your game!” she hissed at him as she reached out her hand and punched him in the triangle, but instead she pulled her hand back immediately. Bad idea. She harmed herself more than she did him.

But the light flash certainly had a good part in scaring her because the moment the skies turned white, her black eyes darted up and Amber did not think twice: she ran. First thing she needed was to get somewhere safe, somewhere where people would be around! Yes, he would not dare to touch her when someone would be around to witness the crime!

Running now faster, she directed her steps towards the bigger streets that were lighted by the streetlights. She had to somehow lose him from tailing her! As she ran, Amber looked over her shoulder, trying to get a sight of the creature.

He smiled as she ran. He was still contemplating the fact that the girl had just attempted to hit him. She had more fight than he thought. Not only that but she still was able to run in the direction of people. She must have thought that would have stopped him but he knew better. If she wanted to go to people he would simply make it so the people did not want to stay.

He raised his arm so that his wand was pointed at the sky again "Tempestas." The sky flashed again with lightning as thunderheads suddenly filled the sky. Rain and lightning engulfed the entire alley. He would make sure that no one would be outside to help her. He hoped.

Taking advantage of the loud thunder her apperated again. This time to one of the rooftops around her. He wanted to keep pace with her. He aimed his wand at a street lamp behind her. "Bombarda," The lamp exploded into dozens of pieces leaving a small crater in its place.
