Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It was midday, Thursday. Matthew had rose early that morning to head down to Knockturn Alley to complete a deal, a deal involving dragon dung. One of the stores sold dragon dung fertiliser and Matthew so happened to be their supplier of dung, he could sell it himself and make a reasonable profit but for starters he had no shop and wasn't keen on the idea of people knowing where his dragon reserve was. That was secret. Moreover the hassle of having to speak to customers, opening and closing a store and managing employees wasn't worth the extra money when he could simply sell it to the store owner and make a pretty sum of gold.

It was one of Matthew's more legal dealings, one he could do in broad daylight without drawing attention from any Ministry Officials - not that there would be any down Knockturn Alley but still, Matthew didn't exactly have to speak in a hushed voice. Although in all fairness even if it was a dodgy dealing it'd hardly be a secret, what with the smell.

Stepping out of the store that also sold other sorts of gardening materials, including flesh eating slug repellent and what Matthew suspected a few illegal plant seeds, the dragon keeper headed down a lanturn lit alley before emerging onto the busy highstreet of Diagon Alley. You would believe it to be a completely different world and would hardly suspect a dingy highstreet dedicated to all things dark and dangerous was an archway away. If he had to choose Matthew preferred the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley. He wasn't that much of a people person, rarely forming relationships, but the whole vibe simply put one in a better mood somewhat similar to that what exercise did. Maybe there was endorphin's in the surge of magic?

Matthew hadn't wrote out a list of errands, he didn't have time for that, and simply relied on his instincts and memory. There were a few things that needed to be done: owl food was needed for Woody, a trip to Ollivanders was in order, to see if the ancient wandmaker was in need of heart string; food shopping was high on the list for all he had in his freezer were steak, which would need defrosting and lastly but by no means least at this time of year Matthew needed a new winter cloak. For that he'd pop up to Gladrags one day, there was a mink fur cloak he'd had his eye on.

Drawing closer to Eeylops Owl Emporium Matthew pushed open the door and stepped into the store with a tingly of a bell. The sound of hooting met his ears and no fewer than fifty owls were cooped away in cages perched on shelves and hanging from ceilings. He liked owls, not as much as dragons, but to Matthew they were quirky. For a mundane creature their relationships with wizards was also rather curious too. In no hurry to get the owl food Matthew stopped by the cage of a screech owl, it's eyes piercing and fixed upon the dragon keepers. Placing a finger through the bars the owl pecked affectionately at his tip.
