What is the world coming to?

Shane groaned as the sunlight hit him right straight in the eyes letting him know it was time for him to wake up. Opening his hazel eyes he looked around confused at why he was up so early on a weekend. "Ugh... really?"Shane asked himself as he read the clock that was on his nightstand as it read six o'clock in the morning. Shane was never a morning person, he hated mornings more then anything. But he wondered why he was up so early though, maybe it was because he had so much on his mind that he couldn't think clearly. All this stuff that was happening around Hogwarts with the decrees and stuff was really making him mad, first the marriage law and now this! what is next?

Getting up quietly, Shane put on his clothes before he headed downstairs to the Great Hall to grab some breakfast. Upoon reaching the Great Hall, he seen it was pretty much empty besides a few Ravenclaws reading a book. Pf... sill Ravenclaws always up no matter what day of the week it was. Thinking of Ravencalws, he wondered if Olivia was up and awake yet. He doubted it, but then again she was usually up before he rolled out of bed at times, there was tons of times she giggled at him when he looked like he just rolled out of bed and threw some clothes on which he literally did sometimes.

After eating, Shane took out his songbook and peered into it. realizing it been a while since he wrote a song. "Maybe that's what I need to do, let out my emotions and feelings."said Shane shrugging. With all the stuff that was going on, maybe he could write a good song about it. With people getting paired off left and right, Shane was worried that he wouldn't get paired with Olivia. To be with someone other then Olivia scared him, he didn't want to lose Olivia to anyone else due to this stupid law.

Deep in thought, Shane pushed opened the Entrance Hall Shane walked down the sloping lawns towards the lake. After a few minutes he raised his eyebrows at the fact he was at the lake before he realized it. "Wow..."Shane thought before he took down at his normal place and gotten out his songbook . Opening it to a blank page he started thinking before lyrics started spilling out onto the page. Deep in thought Shane kept on writing his thoughts and feelings into a song.

There was no way this was for real. It couldn't be. She wanted it to all be a dream, just a horrible dream that she would wake up from any minute now. But she knew that wasn't going to happen because it wasn't a dream, it was reality. She was going to have to leave the castle, and worst of all she might have to marry someone she didn't want to. She wished there was some way to stop this from happening. But the Ravenclaw girl knew that wasn't possible, at least not for her.

She hated being a Werewolf sometimes but right now she loathed it. She loathed being a creature and not human because now she was being forced to leave the school that had been her home for the past six years. It wasn't fair that she had to leave because of some stupid decree the new Headmistress probably set up. She hadn't liked Headmaster Rookwood, but he was better than the Headmistress who now ran the school.

She sighed softly and walked out of the Ravenclaw common room after changing quickly. She had spent most of the morning in her pajamas since she hadn't thought about leaving the common room all day, but she hadn't been able to get her mind off of everything and the rest of the panicking Ravenclaws didn't make things any better for her so she decided to go down to the lake where she was always calm and it was easier for her to think.

The sixth year had wanted to be alone when she reached the lake but her eyes brightened when she saw who was already there. She stood frozen in place for a moment though as she thought that maybe he would be thinking that deep down he hated her because she was the cause that he would have to leave the castle too because she had been the one who turned him in the creature he now was, just like she was. She sometimes still cursed Nathan because she still believed that he was the reason she was the awful creature she was.

But soon after, her feelings of fear evaporated and she walked down the slight slope that lead to where Shane was sitting. She tripped over a rock and almost fell as she went down, her speed picking up but she managed to catch herself as she reached him. The sixteen year old threw herself down behind him and quickly wrapped her arms around him. With a smile on her face, as worried as she was to his reaction, she said "Hi Shane," in a warm tone.

Hearing someone behind him, Shane stiffen but relax a bit as he realized that it was only Olivia.   "Hey Livi love."said Shane softly.   Closing his songbook he placed it back into his jacket before looking at her holding him he chuckled.  "Shouldn't this be the other way around?"Shane asked her chuckling.  "Not that I don't mind it though, I'm usually the one to hold you."said Shane softly.

Looking down at her Shane noticed that she looked a bit upset about something. "You ok love? you seem upset about something."said Shane softly.  He had to admit, he was worried and scared about the marriage law and these decrees. What if he never saw Olivia again due to the decrees or he never gotten the chance to marry her? Shane knew he was going to, but that was later on, but what if they had to do it now before it was to late?

He didn't want to lose her, and he sure didn't want to leave the place he considered his second home for seventh years.  Letting out a angry growl Shane took a rock and threw it across the lake as it skipped.

One skip... two skips... three skips... four skips...  the rock finally sunk into the black endless lake.

It was clear that Shane was ticked off at these new decrees and marriage law, you could clearly see it in his eyes and his emotions.   He didn't want to believe this was all happening,  he refused to believe although he knew very well it was happening.  "When are you suppose to go love?"Shane asked her softly but his voice trembling.  It was clear that he was trying to keep tears back that were trying to escape his eyes. Shane usually never cried about anything, but here he was almost in teats over the fact his life as a wizard and being with Olivia was over.

Shane didn't have that much longer here at Hogwarts, his train was suppose to be coming at the end of the week to take him back.  He was sadden that this was his last and final week here, he was going to make the most of it.   "It's my final week here Livi,  after this I will no longer be a student at Hogwarts!"said Shane sadly.  "Luckily I'll be able to do magic, that'll be the only thing I have of Hogwarts to remember by and the songs I wrote about you and this place!"said Shane softly.    Shane were now holding onto those things for dear life now, he was afraid they might be taken away from him just like Hogwarts and Olivia might be.
