Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It was nice out yet Quelyn Werther preferred to stay inside where it was nice and dark, far away from the sun. With her pale cold skin and her big pain filled eyes she stayed in the Castle. As everyone seemed to be headed out doors Jacquelyn went up to the fifth floor which held one of her new favorite rooms, the music room. The room was filled with beautiful instilments of all kinds and many students would come here to make the most beautiful music. The young first year would tend to sit in the corner watching them listening. When no one seemed to be watching she would sway back and forth remembering the last time she had seen her mother before she died in child birth. So close to her due date Quelyn’s mother had sat at their home piano playing the soft happy music. The piano no longer exists as a result of one of her father’s drunken escapades.
Today the young girl sat there in a quiet room unsure how to play. She wished someone would come in and play the beautiful music.

Carly didn't like to go outside. She always got bullied and picked on. It wasn't that she caused problems, it was that she was to shy to defend herself. Wanting to find a nice calm place she decided to go to the music room. Running quickly towards the music room she began to get excited. As she walked in, her heart raced. She had never seen anything like this before. Running her hand across multiple instruments her gaze immediately began to find a nice mahogany piano. She hadn't played the piano since her fourth year. She sat down and began to play a soft calming tune.

Someone had snuck in on Quelyn once again startling her as they began to play. The corners of he mouth turned up just a tiny bit as she watched quietly. The peice was wonderful though it was not the same as her mothers had been. Silently she sighed pulling her knees closer to her as she watch her chin resting on her knees infront of her. Though it was not the same Quelyn hoped that the girl who had chosen to sit at the grand piano did not decide to stop playing, it was always saddening when the music ended like it had in her happy years.

Carly continued to play her piece. It lasted just over four minutes. When she turned around she was startled to see a younger girl at a different piano. Carly had not even noticed her when she walked in. The girl looked harmless enough so Carly approached her. "Hi, I'm Carly" was all she could manage. No matter how small the girl seemed, Carly was still afraid. "Do you play the piano" she asked.

"No I don't, not really," Quelyn stammered nervous about how the girl had approached her and sad that she had stopped playing. "Darius tries to teach me but I'm not as good as those I hear." She looked up at the older girl with herbivores brown sorrowful eyes and quietly asked, "will you please play some more?" Quelyn moved back into the position she had been sitting in and stared unblinking at the white and black keys as she fourced her shoulders to move up and down as if she were breathing.

Carly could tell this girl was shy as well as nervous. "I'm quite shy also" she told her. Carly took the girl's hands into her's and pressed softy on the keys, playing only the first ten notes of the song she just previously played. "Now you try without me to guide you" she told her. The poor girl looked quite frightened and nervous. "There's no reason to be scared of me" Carly informed her.

Jacquelyn was good at remembering the keys others would play and in what order she smiled slightly and replayed what the girl had shown her then added to it he part she had watched her mother play so many times. She smiled slightly but again it quickly dissappered as the soft sound faded away. "Will you please play some more?" She asked again. "It helps me remember even the littlest details of the first person I ever watched play." She spoke trying not the revels to much of herself to this stranger as she had the last.

"Oh, and who was that person" Carly asked. Even though Carly didn't know this girl she felt comfortable, and she was intrigued. Carly began to play the piano again, this time playing a softer but happier tune. This song was just over sixteen minutes long and Carly hoped she wasn't boring this girl. "So tell me about yourself" Carly said when her song was over.

"She had been my mother." Quelyn whispered so quietly she could bearly hear herself. She swayed back and fourth withe tune the girl had played before she inquired about Quelyn. "Besides my name being Jacquelyn, but I dropped the jac part there is not much to know about me." The smaller of the two girls replied quietly thinking now of her father who at this moment was probably passed out in some random girls apartment or possibly his own home gettin ready to awake with a horrid headake.

The word mother made Carly cry. "My mother died giving birth to me" she admitted. Carly slumped herself over this girl. Tears flowed from Carly's eyes for around three minutes. When Carly had cleaned herself up she stood. "Quelyn is a pretty name. No boys interested in such a pretty girl" she teased. Carly really liked this child, like the sister she never had.
