What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Tick Tock, Like A Clock Empty Tick Tock, Like A Clock

Post by Nick Potter Sun Dec 02, 2012 6:53 pm

It was starting to get around 6pm. Nick always went up to the clock tower around this time. Nobody really knows why, it's just something he does. It was cold outside around 20 below. The clock tower was kept warm by a magical enchantment. Nick had liked the way the clock worked by all of the strings, it was the one thing a Hogwarts that wasn't totally reliable on magic, or so Nick thought.

The thin wooden boards were fragile, Nick had to cast a spell to make them stronger. They would still break if another person around his weight came up. Nightfall would come quickly because of winter Nick thought. There really isn't much light in the clock tower at night.

Tick Tock, Like A Clock Empty Re: Tick Tock, Like A Clock

Clara was teased by one of her friends, with who she was actually very close. Why she had done that Clara don't know and even now don't care anymore since they will be never ever again friends or talk anymore. Actually it was not first time, last three times she didn't mind it at all but now she had enough of it.

Clara had run away from her and ended up near the clock tower. She entered there and looked around for awhile. She actually had even tears on her face now already. Seeing her crying was quite rare thing, she most of the times smiles all the time. She just was sad that her close friend teased her because of some random stuffs. What these are doesn't matter anymore. She won't ever be friend with her again. She did sat down there somewhere and now began really to cry. She just didn't know what else to do.

Nick was watching the sun go down. It had been completely dark in the Clock tower now, it was time to go. As he turned around he had heard the door slam. He had lit his wand using lumos. closely after that he heard a girl sobbing. He decided to check it out. Nick approached the crying girl. "What is wrong" he asked. Nick knew the girl was a Gryffindor as he had seen her around the common room. She had looked like a year or two younger than Nick. The bell went Clang, Clang, Clang, and it repeated the clanging noise for three more times. It was now six o'clock. The more Nick had stared at the girl the more he wondered why she was crying.

When Clara heard someones voice she looked up. She didn't know what to say when boy asked from her what is wrong. She also knew that boy is gryffindor like her, since she has also seen him around the common room. She also knows that the boy is some years older than her.

Some minutes later she wiped her tears away and she had still looked at the boy. "Someone very close to me just teased me for no reason," she finally managed to say, but very quietly. Boy not even might to hear what Clara said right now.

The girl had almost whispered her response. Nick was able to make out what she said though. "People can be mean, it just means that they don't deserve you" Nick told her in a comforting way. Nick had taken the corner of his jacket and wiped the tears off of her face. Nick hated seeing people cry. "I'm Nick, Nick Potter I'm a seventh year" he introduced. Nick hadn't even knew this girl before today, yet he knew what she was going through. Earlier this month the same sort of thing had happened to Nick.

Clara just looked at boy for awhile and didn't say anything. "I guess it can be true," she whispered again. She tried not cry anymore, but it was not that easy. She just was sad, that she had lost one of her close friends, with who she has so many memories. All these happy memories came to her mind. But suddenly there where also even these teasing memories in her mind. "She is not my friend anymore. She don't deserve my sadness. I need to smile again," she said in her own mind to herself. "Oh, I'm Clara. Clara Cadwallader. I'm sixthyear," she said and didn't whisper anymore.

"Knowing that a person you have been around for a long time is no longer your friend is the hardest thing in the world to know" Nick told her. "But it's also a new beginning" he added. Nick knew that the girl named Clara was still trying to contemplate what just happened to her. "Just know that whatever a person does your still a pretty girl that can make more friends" he told her. Looking at the inside of the giant clock Nick could see that it is 6:30 and that prefects would be out soon, but he didn't care he was going to make this girl feel better, besides the common room was right around the corner.

"It is hardest thing," Clara agreed on that with Nick. "Also it may be new beggining," she also agreed on that. "Thank you," she said when Nick told her that she is still pretty girl and can make more friends. She knows that herself also too. She can make new friends easily most of time. She didn't cry anymore but she was still sad. She wiped all her tears away and still looked at boy. Clara didn't care about time at all, even if she gets in trouble because being out to late. Right now she worried about other things.

Clara had agreed with all three things that Nick said. Nick knew better though, he could tell she was thinking about her ex-friend. He didn't know what to do, what topics of conversation to bring up. He tried to think about what to bring up, but he honestly didn't know. So without knowing what to do, Nick wrapped his arms around Sarah and gave her a hug. "Everything will get better, it always does" he said in her ear.

It was true that Clara was thinking about her ex-friend and also she was thinking what she should now on. That girl was her only closest friend, with others she was not that close. She was quite surprised when Nick gave her a hug. She at first didn't do anything but then she wrapped her arms too around Nick. When Nick said in her ear that everything will get better, it always does, she was again surprised. Even for awhile Clara did smile but not for very long time.
