Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Blast from the Past Empty Blast from the Past

((Dunno if Jack and Elijah will ever actually get involved in the thread, buuuut just in case.))

James awoke the morning after his stint in the bar with a blistering headache. He had drank way to much last night, and having hardly been able to sleep, the man was a wreck. James didn't quite remember how he had gotten home, but he had a feeling that he owed Jack a thank you.

James could hear Albus downstairs, which meant that his brother must still be worried about him; and hopefully still remorseful. James felt that pang in his heart, which was now becoming familiar to him, from the betrayal of those he loved and those he had loved. Staggering out of bed, James stumbled to his desk. His hand fell on a piece of parchment, crumpling it slightly as he drug it clumsily towards himself. Dipping his eagle-quill in ink, James began to write, his handwriting reflecting his disconnected state of mind.

Jamie,

This is James. I know it's been awhile, but we have something to talk about. I want to meet you and discuss things, like our daughter for instance. Let me know a time and place. There is no running from this anymore, so don't try.

James

Not bothering to re-read what he wrote, James rolled the parchment up unevenly and barked for Tobias, his Blakiston's fishing owl. Sensing his owner's distress, Tobias responded immediately, especially careful that his enormous wingspan didn't knock anything over as he hovered to his perch next to James' desk.

"She's at Hogwarts," James said to the owl, "If we're lucky, she'll be in the dining hall eating breakfast. If not, you'll find her."

James crossed to the window and threw it open. Tobias squeezed through the window, then dropped; opening his wings to catch a draft and rise into the air. James watched him until he disappeared into the great expanse of sky. He had been tempted to just show up at Hogwarts, and confront her face to face, but even in his current state James knew that to be a terrible idea. There was nothing more to do now other than wait.
