Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

A Co-Worker Empty A Co-Worker

Post by Marcus Dakota Wed Aug 08, 2012 6:19 am

Marcus liked to talk to the people that had earned the title of his co-workers. If he didn't have laods of work piled up on his desk, he would be wandering the various levels of the Ministry. He stopped on every floor to see the reaction of people when they saw a member of the Wizengamot. It was quite funny how they acted towards him when he gave them a simple greeting. His ranking in the Ministry had bought him his reactions and facial expression from people when they saw him just strolling about the building.

Marcus stopped on a random level that he had picked out with his eyes covered with his right hand. The doors opened and he picked up a pamphlet that had been laying on a secretary's desk while she wasn't looking. He had been reading when he looked up and a woman had been right in front of him. He had saw her in time as to not bump into her but he was pretty close.

He quickly backed up and smiled. "Sorry about that," he said to her.

A Co-Worker Empty Re: A Co-Worker

Post by Selene Brun Wed Aug 08, 2012 7:39 am

Selene had a stack of papers in her arms. It was a time in between her shifts as an intern, when she actually had to do her secretarial job. She had to go grab a few folders off of desks, but her arms were already pretty full from the ones she had grabbed a while ago, while she made her rounds, trying to move quickly so that she could get back to what she needed to finish as an intern.

She walked past the main entrance and nearly ran straight into a man coming in the door. Her feet froze on the spot, and she just barely managed to catch the stack of folders before they fell out of her arms, and would have flown across the floor.

"Oh my.. I am so sorry." She said quickly, her french accent heavy on her lips as she looked up at the man and let out a small gasp. "Truly, I am very sorry sir.. I deed not know zat anyone waz coming through ze door." She said her face flushed red as she struggled to keep hold of her folders. "I apologize."

Marcus smiled as she apologized to him. She had a lovely french accent. "No, don't worry about it. That was my fault. Can I help you with your papers?" he asked her. He took half to them regardless to what she wanted. "So where're you headed?" he asked, stopping one of the folders from falling. He would have not liked to pick up that pile of paper if it had fallen. She looked like one of the interns that were accepted from the Ministry.

"Would you happen to be an intern?" Marcus asked her because he saw her around, following the orders of his snooty co-workers. They gave her orders like she was a dog. It was pretty rude how they treated the interns around the Ministry.

Selene blushed heavily when he took half of her papers and stopped one from falling. "I am just picking up ze folders zat ozer workers leave for me.. I am only partly an intern.. 'alf of ze day I do zat work.. and ze ozer 'alf I am a secretary." She said her cheeks red, horribly aware of her accent at that point. She sometimes wished it would just go away, it was hard to be a secretary and have an accent that was hard to understand.

She looked at him more fully, and nearly gasped again when she realized who he was. He was a Wizengamot member, and he was helping her cart around folders?! "I am sorry sir.. I do not mean to keep you waiting.. I am sure you 'ave much more important zings to do zen 'elp a secretary bring folders back to 'er desk!" She said and nodded in the direction of her desk, her hands trembling slightly, this could be a make it or break it moment, and she honestly didn't want to make a bad impression to someone so much higher up than her on the totem pole of the Ministry.

Marcus smiled as she dismissed his assistance. "No it's okay, really." She told him her schedule. Her accent was strong but he still liked it. It had seemed as if she had recognized him now. "I have nothing to do and nowhere to go. So I'm just wandering around. I might as well be useful to someone," Marcus said. She nodded in the direction of her desk and Marcus walked the stacks over to it. "Here you go, madamosielle" he said to her. She was trembling. There was absolutely no reason for her to be nervous. Marcus wasn't any different from her.
