Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Cause we are danceing in the streets Empty Cause we are danceing in the streets

Post by Alexander Greengrass Fri Jul 20, 2012 11:07 pm

Kayla Brians had been looking for some way to get out of the house and away from her muggle step dad. She had to keep her magical life a secret around him, because her mother was afraid of him leaving her because of something like her being a half witch. Which lead her to being in Diagon Alley on such a rainy day. Giggling the sixteen year danced through the streets that would normally be crowded but it seemed almost everyone had retreated to the Leaky Cauldron. While she danced she danced right into someone and ended up falling onto her butt into a puddle. “Oh I’m so sorry,” she said looking up at the person she had bumped into.

Talon jumped as he bumped into for the second time that week. He came back to Diagon Alley to try and find another copy of his book, which was fairly ruined by some blood. Yet it took him all afternoon still to try and find a place that would have another copy, so he gave up right as someone ran into him. He turned around to see who ran into him and saw a girl, about his age sitting on the ground in front of him. "Here," he said, extending his hand to offer assistance "let me help you up." Regardless if she accepted his help, Talon then asked "Are you okay? Name's Talon, didn't mean to knock you down." Even though he actually didn't run into her, Talon was polite and decided to say so. Making a friend is always easier than making an enemy.

"Hi There," Kayla said cheerfully as she placed her hand in his so he could help her up. "Yeah I fall down all the time. Are you okay? and its completely my fault, I'm the one who was dancing around like an idiot." She bounced around a little as she waited for him to speak again and giggled some more. "Oh wow I should totally watch where I'm going more often. I wouldn't fall into puddles so often." she smiled up at him and dosed her blond hair over her shoulder.

"I'm fine," Talon replied with a slight smile. She seemed to be like Sapphire in a way, bubbly and energetic. Off the top of his head, Talon would say she's a Hufflepuff. He looked down behind her and noticed the puddle she was talking about. Talon looked back towards her and said "Sorry about that, like I said, I should've paid attention anyway. Can we use magic in Diagon Alley?" he asked, not really sure how the wizarding law worked here "I was going to use that drying spell or whatnot." Even though it wasn't his fault, he felt bad. He had taken on more of a cheery personality lately due to his newfound social gains, so he was trying to make sure he kept his attitude up.

"Not unless we are seventeen," Kayla said thinking and trying to remember the rules of the law. "at least that's what i think it said. No student can use magic outside of Hogwarts unless they are of the age of seventeen. Or something like that" she babbled and shrugged. "It doesn't bother me that much this happens like every day." she smiled and giggled at him twirling her hair around her finger. "So what brings you here?" she asked tilting her head to the side "It's kind of raining.. not may people want to be out in the rain."

Talon immediately remembered why he was there and clenched his book, hoping the blood wasn't visible in her sight. Sure, he could easily explain it, but holding a book that belonged to you that had the blood of someone else on it didn't exactly make a great first impression. "I came to try and find another replacement for this book," he said, shrugging his shoulders "but it's sort of a hard edition to come around on in stores. Flourish doesn't even have it at the moment." He looked up at the sky and noticed that it had been raining! He had been so focused on trying to find a shop avaliable, he hadn't even felt the drops drop onto his clothing and hair. Then again, he did have a large mat of hair, so it wasn't too surprisingly. "Y'know," he said with a slight chuckle "I hadn't even noticed it was raining until you brought it up." I guess you could say he had his head in the clouds. No? Alright then.
