Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

My eyes began to droop as I walked down the empty rain splattered street. The rain was coming down pretty hard and I was glad I had my umbrella with me. I was so tired, I hadn't slept in a week. The death of my older brother had taken quite the toll on me. Ever since the day he passed, whenever I close my eyes I was troubled by images of him. It was too much for me to handle. I could barely handle staying away and knew I was going to have to sleep soon.

My brother was my best friend. He was the person I looked up to the most. And then he was just taken away from me. Why was the human race stupid enough to mix drinking and driving? Why were we so goddamn stupid all the time? I began to tear up at these thoughts. I hadn't cried all week, it wasnt a natural response to anything for me. But it didn't come out in a large portion like the movies, but they did make my sight blurry.

As I continued to walk a figure appeared in the distance. My eyes were still partially filled with tears and the figure was only a blur. But as the figure came closer I began there was something oddly comforting about it. He looked almost, familiar to me. It took the figure a few more steps for me to realize that it was my brother! It stopped in front of me and I stopped walking. I simply stared at him, tears in my eyes and mouth wide open.

“Hey little sis,” he said quietly to me. “how's mom and dad?”. I couldn't think of anything to say, I simply stood and stared. “I'm sorry I left so quick.” he said with a small grin. “I miss you...so much.” I gasped out to him. He took me into his arms and hugged me close. The rain didn't seem to be touching us even though the umbrella was on the ground. “I miss you too sis...” he whispered back.

We just stood there for a while, hugging. “I have to go.” he finally whispered to me. I was crying a waterfall by now and didn't want to let go. I knew I'd have to eventually, but I wanted this moment to last forever. “I have something to give you though.” he said softly. I let go and stepped back, picking up my umbrella. “Here, take this.” he said reaching into his jacket and pulling out a single potted plant. “Plant this, in the backyard.” I took it from him and looked at it. It looked so small and unimportant. “This is just...a plant. A small and useless plant.” I said sniffing.

“It only looks small and useless, it is however very important!” he told me. “In five years, it is going to grow into one of the tallest tree's in the neighbourhood!” he reached his arms into the sky for show. “And whenever you look at it I want you to think of me, okay?” he said looking down at me. He held my face in his hands and smiled weakly. “No matter how hard it seems, sis, never give up.” and a small tear trickled out of his eye.

He began to walk away down the street. I stared after him, “I love you...” I called after him. “Love you too little sis.” he replied back to me. He continued down until I couldn't see him in my hand. After all that my crying was done. I held my umbrella in one hand and the plant in the other. I looked at it, I smiled and began walking back home; ready to plant a tree.
