Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

It's Like a Magic Carpet Ride Empty It's Like a Magic Carpet Ride

Class had just gotten out and Kayla was ready for some fun. She had ran down to the Hufflepuff common room long enough to change into some comfortable clothing which consisted of jeans and a tee shirt and found her broom before she was off again heading toward the Quidditch pitch. She had never really liked the game of Quidditch but she loved to fly. She loved the wind in her hair. As soon as she was outside she got on her broom and flew toward the Pitch. She grew higher and higher in the air and flew around in circles doing loop-dee-loops and crock screws, just like the muggle roller coasters her dad use to take her on before he started hating her and her mom.

A fear of flying had always prevented Kai from picking up a broomstick, but he still loved to watch as people darted through the air and performed incredible moves. Today had been a good day and what better way to end it than spending some time alone, watching people fly? Kai shuffled about on the bench, trying to get comfortable. It wasn't possible. Sitting in a pair of black trousers and a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up, Kai felt the breeze on his skin as he watched Kayla soar through the air. 'How must she feel?', he wondered to himself, moving his head from side-to-side in order to keep up with the movements that Kayla was making.

Kayla giggled as she flew closer to the ground and stood up on her broom so that she could jump off and roll in the grass. She giggled more as came to a rolling stop her hair in her face as she lay on her back looking up at the sky. “God that was so much fun!” she giggled and propped herself up on one elbow and use the other arm to brush the hair out of her face. “OH shit!” she cried when she spotted the guy who had been watching her. She stood up and grabbed her broom and hid her face as she walked to the far end of the stadium.

Kai's looked on in shock at the girl walking away after what he thought was a painful-looking accident. "Wow. She's resilient.", Kai muttered to himself as he got up from the bench and began to make his way down to her. What started as a fast walk quickly progressed into a sprint as Kai tried to make it to Kayla. Sports had never been Kai's thing, so naturally sprinting wasn't something that he was good at. Losing his breath, Kai's speed began to drop, but he struggled onward, determined to talk to this girl. Finally she was in sight. "Hey! You there!", Kai shouted as best as he could, struggling to catch his breath.

‘Oh no!’ Kayla though when she realized the guy was fallowing her. Dropping her broom she fell to the ground crossing her legs and hiding her face in her lap. “Oh god oh god oh god. Why did I do that?” she mumbled to herself. “He’s going to think I’m so stupid. Oh god I’m talking to myself. He’s going to think I’m mental!” she was just glad that her hair hid her red face at the moment. Taking a deep breath she tried to calm herself before he reached her. ‘what could he want?” she wonder to herself trying to stop talking.

Kai watched on as Kayla dropped to the ground. Fearing something was wrong he didn't bother waiting for a response, instead jogging over to her and knelt down by her side. Kai threw his left arm around Kayla, holding her close to him. Reaching over with his right hand, Kai gently moved the hair out of Kayla's face and looked at her gorgeous features up close for the first time. Though he wanted to ask if she was okay, he couldn't; every word that Kai knew had suddenly vanished into thin air. After staring at her face for a moment or two, Kai somehow managed to get a few words out: "A-are.. you okay?", Kai stuttered, still staring at Kayla.

“NO!” She cried “I’m not okay! You watched me make a fool of myself!” she looked up at him not realizing how close he was until she did and she moved away from him breathing irregularly from running away from him. She looked into his eyes and couldn’t help but think that he had very pretty eyes, and nice cloths. She smiled slightly and pushed her hair back behind her ear. “How stupid did I look?” she asked then corrected herself, “how stupid Do I look?” she asked stressing the word do. She moved slightly so that she was hugging her knees and lay her chin on them.

A soft chuckle escaped Kai's mouth as he removed his arm from Kayla and let himself drop backwards. Now sitting down, here looked into Kayla's eyes and smiled. "How beautiful do you look?", Kai responded. "You actually look very be--.", Kai halted, realising the mistake he had made. Feeling embarrassed, Kai looked away from Kayla and instead stared at the floor. He ran his hands over the grass beside him, pulling a few pieces out and placing them on his lap. "You don't look stupid.", Kai muttered, continuing to play with the grass. "If anyone looks stupid here, it's me.". Kai looked towards Kayla, smiling at her as he admired her perfection.

Kayla blushed when he started to say how beautiful she was. Giggling Kayla looked over at him and fell back into the grass, “you’re not stupid.. You probably though I was hurt or something when I jumped off my broom and rolled in the grass, but I porously flew close to the ground so that it wouldn’t hurt me.” She looked up at the sky and then back at him. “Do you fly?” she asked and brushed her hair with her hand by running her fingers through it and started to put her hair up in a ponytail. It really was getting hot outside.
