Welcome to Potter's Army

We have been a Harry Potter Roleplaying site since 2007. If you're an old member we hope you come check out the discord link provided below. And if you're looking for a new roleplaying site, well, we're a little inactive. But every once and a while nostalgia sets in and a few of our alumni members will revisit the old stomping grounds and post together. Remember to stay safe out there. And please feel free to drop a line whenever!

What’s Happening?
Since every few months or so a few of our old members get the inspiration to revisit their old stomping grounds we have decided to keep PA open as a place to revisit old threads and start new ones devoid of any serious overarching plot or setting. Take this time to start any of those really weird threads you never got to make with old friends and make them now! Just remember to come say hello in the chatbox below or in the discord. Links have been provided in the "Comings and Goings" forum as well as the welcome widget above.

Alone. Empty Alone.

Post by Anabelle Mulciber Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:22 am

The bright early morning was quiet and calm. It was so peaceful outside, but it was also weird. There was something wrong, or something missing. The only thing she could hear was the sounds of the birds and other animals that were around. Her little kitten Katniss was walking beside her young owner as she made her way down to the empty courtyard. Katniss yawned softly and gave a little meow that had no meaning, else she would have been able to understand what her kitten had said.

Finally it hit her why she thought something was missing. It was because her younger sister, Naomi, wasn with her. Ever since they saw Sophia at the Leaky Cauldron a few days ago, Naomi had been like her shadow. She followed her around everywhere. It seemed weird to get that her sister had been following her around more than usual, and she begun to think that Sophia had put her up to something, but she wasn't sure. It just didn't make sense, why Sophia would even ask anything of Naomi, especially to keep a close eye on her. She hadn't done anything that could harm her life in a while, so there was no need to do anything like that.

She had gotten so used to having her sister around her that now, it didn't feel normal. Yes, Hitame Anabelle Higurashi, the girl who was getting annoyed having her sister follow her around everywhere, missed her sister now. It just didn't feel right. She picked up her kitten gently and held her in her arms. She realized she was alone.

Alone. Empty Re: Alone.

Post by Elijah Krum Sun Apr 22, 2012 1:26 pm

The slender body of Irina Krum was swathed with ill-fitting robes designed to conceal something from the eye of the average, un-observant wizard. For Elijah Krum it was impossible for him not to immediately notice. After taking her four month year old son from her rail thin arms he took a moment to look at her and appreciated for a moment the youth of the woman that was barely older than his self. She was strained under the weight of both illness and pregnancy and as Elijah cradled his half-brother he realised that what the robes concealed was another child growing, flourishing inside of her; and Elijah found his self praying that for her sake it was another son. Then perhaps Viktor would leave her be. The dark circles beneath her eyes betrayed her illness and her hollowed out cheeks did little to support the idea that she was trying to carry off - that she was fit and healthy. Elijah wrapped his arm around her waist and led her over to one of the benches, allowing her to rest her legs for a moment. Elijah glanced down at the babe in his arms and sighed heavily, moving the blanket away from the child’s face to take in the soft features he boasted.

“He’s beautiful.” Elijah murmured, glancing over at Irina whose hand lay over her stomach, a weary smile brightening her rosy face. “You are blessed, Irina. Viktor has his son now. Why are you still pushing yourself?” The woman sighed heavily and shrugged her shoulders, prompting Elijah to wrap an arm around her. She curled instinctively into his chest, her hand coming to rest over his heart as her eyes took in her son who had long since fallen asleep. She closed her eyes at the feel of Elijah’s lips on her head and she snuggled in closer to him for fear that if she let go she would have nothing left. For some reason, it was Elijah who she got on best with. She did not know how to play the evil step-mother role and he’d seen through her charade. They’d grown close as a result, her trusting in him many of her secrets and her worries. Elijah was someone she’d grown dependent on, finding her loneliness impossible to deal with. “You’ve got to smile through it, Irina. You have to look after yourself.” Elijah reminded her. “I can’t always be there, sweetheart.”

There was little Elijah could do to console the woman who had been betrayed by her family and forced into one where even her husband was hostile towards her. Irina cried until she could no longer muster up the strength to continue on and Elijah took her to the Hog’s Head for lunch where they were served pies and some warm cider which she sipped at but never really drank. It was during that time that Gabriel woke, startling Elijah and Irina out of their discussion. Both turned to look at the sobbing child and Irina made to get up but Elijah stopped her, reaching instead for the child. He lifted the boy into the air before cradling him gently, shushing him with whispered questions as to why he was crying and small smiles. Irina herself could not help but smile and found herself sat on Elijah’s knee, stroking the head of her precious boy and coaxing him out of his sadness.

They departed with a promise to meet again. Elijah hugged the woman fiercely before kissing her on the mouth and releasing her. He cupped her face in his palms and rubbed away her tears with his thumbs before reaching to kiss her forehead and whispering that very promise. She smiled through her tears and nodded gently before allowing Elijah to place his hand over her stomach to feel the child blossoming within her. There was much magic there, just as there was in Gabriel and Irina herself. She had talent but she was being drained of her energies and so it was Elijah who took her home, taking her right to the door of the Bulgarian manor and placing one last kiss on her forehead before Apparating away for fear of being caught by a nosy family member. He loathed leaving her by herself but knew there was no other way. She knew where to reach him. And so Elijah resigned himself back to Hogwarts, digging his hands into the pockets of his robes and walking with his head down up to the castle where he realised he had no place anymore. He was all alone - just like Irina.

Elijah had a cigarette between his lips when he entered the courtyard. Immediately he sensed another feline in the area and he looked around, quickly spotting a kitten in the arms of a young Gryffindor. He smiled a little and took the cigarette from his licks, flicking the ash onto the cobbles before walking over, keeping the cigarette down by his side. Brazenly, he knelt down by the girl and reached up to pat the kitten on the head. The animal meowed in response and Elijah chuckled, shaking his head in reply. He then glanced up at the girl and smiled before explaining to her,

“I think your kitten is a little hungry. She’s enjoying the cuddles though.” Elijah smiled gently and flicked the cigarette away, rising to stamp it out with his shoe before sitting back down beside the girl who looked as if she was barely thirteen. “I have a kitten too.” He mentioned with a smile. “Twist, his name is. Little bugger is that cat. Drives me mad. Nice enough though. What’s your kitten called?” Elijah smiled at her again before adding, “I’m Elijah, by the way. Elijah Krum.”

Alone. Empty Re: Alone.

Hitame seemed to be concentrating on the patch of grass around the spot where she stood and she cradled her kitten in her arms. The kitten yawned softly and stared up at her as she looked at the grass. Without much warning, she felt a little pressure on her arms and she heard a meow come from her kitten. She immedately looked down and found herself staring at an older student. She blinked a couple of times, just staring at him, not saying anything at all - because she couldn't find anything to even say. Hitame looked down at her kitten and then back at the boy, tilting her head to the side a bit. Usually she would react in a completely different way than this, possibly trying to start a fight with whoever was near her, especially if they were Slytherins.

She opened her mouth to say something to him, but quickly closed it as he began to talk about what he thought the kitten needed. She looked down at her again and the kitten meowed softly. Hitame blinked again and shook her head at him. "No she isn't." she finally spoke in a soft voice. "She would have told me by now if she was." she blinked at him and looked down. "She likes cuddling." she smiled down at the kitten. "Especially with my sister's kitten." she added softly.

The thirteen year old girl watched him flick his cigarette away and stamp it out, and her eyes lingered on the crushed cigarette for a while. She sighed and shook her head before she looked back up at him. "Twist is a funny name for a kitten." she found herself smiling at him. "I like it though." she added. Her kitten meowed again and she set her down next to her. She walked toward him and sniffed the ground around him, before placing her small paws on his leg. "Her name is Katniss. She's a really playful kitten." she sighed, looking down and smiling at Katniss. "I'm Hitame." she said after he introduced himself. "Hitame Higurashi."
